♪ my class trial, our class trial ♫
Who: Everyone + Hiro if ori wants
When: January 12th, then anytime past January 15th
Where: Common Room
What: please let's wake steph and also maybe prove miyuki innocent if he really is
Warnings: tbd
[there is no gentle way to do this on the pda.
but you know what that is perfectly fine they were doing CSI rp earlier what's one more--]
All hands, round up.
Think we've got as much as we can right now, so let's settle in and work it out -- together. Come to the usual meet-up spot as soon as you can, and we're not leaving until the perp's worked out. Bring your own joe and a wit sharp as can be, because we are in for the long haul.
Detective Akamatsu, signing out.
[...
a-anyway.
meng yao's done his best to preserve one (1) stephanie meanswell and she's currently laying on the couch in a state some may find familiar and others not at all, but she's very much alive -- if barely. have your shock and surprise, this is going to be once all evidence is collected icly. also after noah and kaede make a grave for miss vp god rest her soul.
...
hiro is allowed to be here, if he wants, if only because part of this is his sister's death and one of y'all had BETTER take care of him.
there are no snacks, no drinks unless you byoj (bring your own joe), and kaede will wait until... all or presumably all are filed in before she speaks.]
I hate to say this, but you all are easily more experienced with this than I am... Still, there's no reason to wait on this when one of our classmates has turned up dead, and another [she is assuming stephanie is theirs] is in the state that she is. I don't want to think one of us had anything to do with it, but turning away from the truth only invites more pain--
So let's lay out what we know and try not to go at each others' throats about it.
[please. even the most unbelievable, impossible happenings have roots to them, and she wants it solved -- not just for hiro's sake, who's pain is something she can barely imagine, but for stephanie and the vice principal, too.]

So then they steal her keys, set her on fire, throw her out a window, nail up a body, cause property damage, lock it up, and then go do whatever the else was on their agenda.
[ Not necessarily in that order, but he thinks that's the basic idea. He shakes his head. ]
That's a stupid plan and an even stupider execution. But y'know, with the way people are around here, we can run with it for now.
[ If he were going to go just kill somebody for fun or profit, he'd just throw them in the cremation coffin, turn it on, and call it a day. He'll keep that to himself though since he doesn't want you freaks knowing about his coffin's features. ]
'Kay, so next question: Where was she murdered? Gonna take a guess and say that none of the kiddos that hang around here saw a corpse being dragged around.
[ He thinks there's still a few of them, anyway.
Go on. ]
no subject
[ It certainly worked, for the most part. ]
As for where... that's not easy to come up with. It'd be much easier to figure something like that out if we noticed anything was askew in any of the other rooms, or if there was more blood on her person than we found.
no subject
[ This is the kind of thing one of his coworkers would do just for fun. It's harsh, but then, for an AI that's based in logic and problem solving it's probably only natural. ]
Hmm... To narrow down the suspects, huh? Well, Sara mentioned a motive, right? Why don't we turn it around then. Why would somebody need to frame you kids in particular? Wouldn't it make more sense to cast a wide net and see how much confusion and uncertainty you can cause? For example... If you just threw her off the roof then it could've been anyone, right? It'd be a huge pain to narrow it down.
[ In other words... ]
If you got nothing to do with it, then who'd you piss off, kiddo?
no subject
no subject
Would someone playing games really go through that much effort for a joke?
[ do we have some kind of jokester here???? ]
I... couldn't tell you. For all I know, it may be someone just taking advantage of what they had. It's not like I make it a point to give my hair to anybody. I'd hope even no one else here would do that.
no subject
Hm, if they thought it'd be entertaining. I know people like that. I wouldn't assume there's a deep meaning behind it.
[ He waves his free hand, the other holding up a colorful ice cream cone in front of his expression. He seems to consider how much assistance he wants to offer here for a moment. If there's no motive, and there's no logistics, then it's a stalemate. He blows out a sigh. ]
You're too busy trying to prove your own innocence to start suspecting other people. Why wouldn't they do it? Do you really think you wouldn't shift the blame onto someone else if given the chance?
[ He would, of course, as that's what he's trying to do now. ]
You'll pounce as soon as you find somebody else who seems suspicious and let out a sigh of relief, whether or not they actually did it, right?
[ It's hard, but there's no real judgment to his tone. It's frank and matter of fact, unbothered by the idea. It was only natural. The same could be said of a killer. It doesn't even have to be hate, he supposes, just apathy or convenience as with the case of whoever seems suspicious. ]
no subject
[ In most respects, he's used to simply defending himself. If it were a simple dispute, he'd be able to come up with a reason why it wasn't him and be able to successfully transfer that blame onto another party. It's only natural to want to be proven innocent if you feel innocent, of course.
On the other hand, per his own presumptions... that's just what the murderer is doing.
Still, he does feel the need to push back on one aspect-- ]
I don't think Amami could have done it, and at most I figured if he was, he'd be a motive behind it. I don't think that's the case, though. I admit, there are those I'd wish it would be, but that's just selfish on my part.
--More than anything, I just want to be done with this, but I don't want this to be unresolved and end with me branded a murderer for something I didn't do.
no subject
( but that's cruel, that's wrong, and they'll find out which will only deepen the hole he's made for himself. placing a willing target on his back without even needing to, how... messy. komaeda couldn't do such a thing as he just pushes himself into their conversation. )
But you're not that stupid, so think of yourself as part of the group, and build their hopes. Don't do things that would make everything even more difficult. What do the group know that only you'd know that would save the hide of your skin...?
( that said, he's turning towards ranger with a smile, )
Will you change my dressing, it's difficult to bend or do anything when trying to take care of it...
( he points to his gut area with a frown, please... fix... fix... anyway, looking at the time, it is time for it to be changed. )
no subject
...also.
Ranger's going to change him?
???????? ]
no subject
His dressing, huh...? It is about that time. He's still recovering from an injury. Ranger nods. ]
Sure, I don't mind... Oh, he got stabbed. Still recovering.
[ Ranger must have noticed the confusion to add that. He's realized by now that Miyuki is slow, so he tries to be clear. Still, he thinks that's enough advice so he'll leave it at that, nodding once more to Komaeda before reaching out to give his prosthetic a little tug. His voice softens a touch as he continues on, ]
C'mon, break time for both of us. I'll take care of you.
no subject
( it's because they're in the dormitory, and it's easier to get to their rooms compared to komaeda walking all the way back to the main school in hopes that the nurse is still here. he doesn't trust many people to clean his wound, and reapply his dressing. )
Mmm... Don't worry, Shirogane-kun, if you maintain a level head, and keep hope alive... you'll see this through!
( miyuki feels too honest to do something like this, but these types have the sharpest bites.
he allows his prosthetic to be taken, following along as he lifts his other hand with a wave ro say goodbye to miyuki for the moment. )
Word of advice: Never ask the counselor to stick it inside of you, he'll ruin the experience by pulling out.
( when komaeda asked the counselor to stab him, and he pulled the knife out next. he would just bleed out with no one to help him because he knows the man isn't qualified in that field, and he thinks miyuki's unlucky enough to get stabbed when the nurse isn't in.
he looks to ranger: )
Think I'm making a speedy recovery...?

Sheesh... You're embarrassing.
[ He grumbles, though he really wouldn't expect anything else. Either way, it's completely distracted him from whatever he'd been thinking before. ]
Yeah, I think so. Should be back to normal in no time.
no subject
( he'll allow himself to be dragged away even quicker, following with until he he sees a few chairs on the other side that they can go sit. oh, maybe it should be more personal. )
Are we going to your room or mine? When you're finished touching me, we can come back.
no subject
[ Who enjoys getting stabbed to begin with. He thinks about the chairs, but he's not sure that Komaeda really wants to be pulling his shirt up in public. People were so nosy... Can he stop saying it in a weird way? ]
We can do it in my room. I don't think it'll take long... Is it still pretty sore?
no subject
( please don't be hard on him, he's very weak. )
Too much pressure irritates it, but when I sleep and cover brushes against it, it's not so bad...
no subject
Why would I be rough? That's just going to make it worse.
[ He huffs. ]
People are gonna start rumors if you say stuff like that, you know.
no subject
( explain it to him because he didn't say anything wrong, he doesn't think... )
no subject
[ He thinks. Maybe he's just been around teenagers too long. ]
no subject
( he could say anything really, just whatever comes to mind, and if it doesn't make sense does this means that's where the problem lies? )
If I do it again, tell me where.
no subject
... It's fine.
Anyway, it must've just been my mistake, since you've got a better idea of when somebody's saying something weird than I do.
[ Mumble mumble... He's not very socially adept, so it's easy to make him second guess things like this. It's in his database not to question that anymore. ]
no subject
( he knows what he said, but that doesn't stop him from teasing the other to make him say it aloud. )
no subject
[ It's an attempt at a deflection that he can already hear the counter to. He huffs. ]
You just wanna hear me say it so you can make fun of me, don't you?
[ As if he's not already embarrassed. ]
