January mini-event part 2

✽ The silence has lifted once more, but the school remains relatively silent. The chatter and footsteps of students moving through the halls won't be there for some time. The Principal's office remains deadly cold and frozen, but if anyone is brave enough to try and push it open, they'll find that it won't open. The door seems to be stuck, almost as though there's something heavy pressed up against the door.

Location/body: Principal's office.
Action: After bundling Helena up like she's the kid in A Christmas Story,, they're going to the principal's office so Helena can use the big taps, concentrating on "things of importance" in the room. Also if she starts getting freezer burned Ranger can just throw her out of the room so it's all good.

The phone lights up, as well as the spot on the floor under the desk where the cold seems to be concentrated on, and the ceiling fan light with the two pull chains on it idk what it's called, one controls the light and the other controls the fan

Our dynamic duo is taking the floor spot where the cold is first, feeling around to see if there's anything amiss - to see if there's like a hatch or something to unlock and explain what the heck is up.

There is no hatch or anything that suggests a hidden passage, short of prying apart the floorboards, but there is a hollow thunk underneath if they jump or tap

Before they have to turn their mind to property destruction, Ranger's going to pull on the fan cords, since he's the tall one, and see if that does more than just activating the fan.

Anyways, Ranger pulls the cord and there's a click from above, the sound of something cracking below their feet, but the fan does not turn. The light does turn on and off if Ranger pulls the other cord, though.

If they go back to the weird hollow spot has anything changed there? Helena's going to be little tapping around trying to detect any differences. (And probably slowly going numb anyway because this office is cold)

Her hands are numb but her tap taps tell her that something in the space down there seems to have broken, maybe. But before they decides property destruction is their only option, perhaps one of them is aware that there is another way down to the basement level of the school, and if not, Sara and co should share

Thankfully Ranger knows so we don't have to add vandalism to the list of crimes in the principal's office.

Helena gets warmed back up in safety while they discuss this, and acquiring some guy on the way, they're headed to the basement to search for whatever they've gone and fucked up this time!

Helena and co. go down to the basement to search for whatever they've gone and fucked up this time. Are they sticking together or searching separately? Which rooms do they look in?

I made this for reference for text-challenged me, but I'll share here too:

After a tactical team conference, they've decided to explore one room together and then split up to search the rest if they're all alive after the one, and they've started with the mirror room to go cause problems in. Anything amiss, scary, dead, weird sounding, things we can unfairly blame Komaeda for happening in here?

[adsum]

They enter the mirror room to find the many tarnished mirrors in disarray, none of their reflections showing in any of them, as if they themselves don't exist. But the glass does reflect the rest of the room and the broken mirrors hanging on the walls, those reflections splintered where the glass is cracked. It's difficult to tell what had broken down here, but from... idk the amount of dust and how it's distributed, maybe Ranger can deduce that one of the large floor mirrors seems to have recently slipped off its hook on the wall and had fallen the inch to the floor, enough to crack the glass but not enough for it to fall over completely.

*ranger wants to check the spot on the wall where it was to see if it's hollow or anything like that, but he's also going to break the mirror if bleeding on it doesn't do anything
*they should check like... the spot where it was and the back of the mirror, and then if there's anything behind the mirror glass itself
*also checking the void version which means everyone has to touch the hope blood

Assuming this is in order of the bullet points, first things first: Komaeda bleeds on the mirror like the freak he is and sends himself and Ranger into the void where they find themselves in the same room except that instead of mirrors, the room is jam packed with shadow students instead, who start to sap the warmth and strength from their bodies the longer they're superimposed on them, making it cold and numb and hard to move.

Ranger keeps a mirror shard on him that he can break, so let's go with that.

bc Komaeda is the only freak who experimentally bleeds on things

Ranger breaks his mirror and ditches Komaeda, who needs to break his own mirror to return HE CARRIES ONE I KNOW HE DOES both of them return alive and whether or not they tell Helena what they saw, there looks to be a door of some sort behind the broken floor mirror. The doorknob is cold to the touch, and does turn if they try— they may get the sense that fan cord in the room above may be connected to this lock.

Okay, now that Komaeda's gotten out of that system and Ranger has given him that blank stare and the microexpression for "we need to talk," he's going to open the door bc he's the only one here that doesn't care about the cold.

[decrypter]

even if the boys won't try and open the cold door Helena will if only to figure out if they need to go retrieve her arctic weather wear let's GO

They open the door and find themselves faced with a wall of fire— in appearance, because 1) rather than blasting heat in their faces, it's a frigid ice cold that grips them, and 2) the flames are the exact same shade of blue as the blue flame lighters.

[rearranger]

Ranger's going to dig through Komaeda's pockets until he find a dog drawing and then slide that into the flames to see what happens. Does it burn?

[adsum]

Ranger sacrifices a dog drawing... and finds that it does not burn. He can pull it back out with no apparent damage.

[rearranger]

The dog drawing lives to see another day and is going back in Komaeda's pocket once it's no longer frigid.

Anyway, Ranger's going to experimentally stick his fingertips in and probably the rest of his hand if that doesn't immediately lead to consequences. Does it seem like he can go in? If so, he will try and do so.

[adsum]

He sticks his hand in and it's cold, his hand starts to feel numb and body weak, a feeling very similar to two seconds ago when Komaeda doomed them both to the shadow student pit. But he can go in if he wants, there's nothing physically stopping him.

[rearranger]

Oh, yikes, no thank you on that one. He'll yank his hand back to avoid further damage.

But since they've got time, they're going to send Komaeda up to go get his Junk Monokuma and use the hacking gun to try and send it inside the room. Does the Monokuma survive?
