SSSSSSSSssssssssssssssssss...

It's late into the evening when the noise in the dormitories start to die down and people start heading back to their rooms for the night, that the white noise can heard in the relative quiet. A hiss, like white noise but harsher, the TV static of a VCR player once a movie ends and hasn't been turned off. Those with particularly good hearing and in neighboring rooms would be drawn to the hallway of the Suns, where the hissing claws at the door from inside Sun 2.

A knock on the door results in silence. The doorknob rattles when tried. Light peeks out from underneath.

well. if anyone needs another reason to come and investigate, Helena's going to scream before breaking down into tears.

consider her incapacitated for the rest of this investigation, she's only going to recover enough later to try and get Keigo's ribbon to keep safe for them.

There doesn't seem to be any sign of magic anywhere on their bodies or anywhere in the room.

Lucifer gives Helena a hug and I hope it's extra extra warm, because when she checks Keigo's left ankle where she knows they always have the ribbon tied around, it is missing.

you know what I'm going to ask, she's going to instantly use the Big Tap to try and find it, because otherwise she's going to lose her mind right here and now

lucifer better not be holding her because she'll fight her way out of his arms to get to whatever that is...i'm sorry i keep saying she'll tap out but she's going sicko mode at the same time

Lucifer lets Helena go so that she may get the thing but stands by like a dad

Lucifer stands by like a dad while Helena climbs the ladder to the top bunk, mattress stripped of the blankets and pillows but she does find Keigo's stuffed animals up there, including the rabbit she had given them so long ago. There is also their polaroid camera and, in the spot that pinged her, a thin book with the ends of the ribbon felt at the very back, as if used like a bookmark.

She brushes her hand against the front cover, and reads the bumps that make up the title:

"For Helena"

i literally do not have icons sad enough for this but yeah. she's taking the book with her and being carried out.

keep it safe... It's her book, they wrote it and bound it and everything for her, and probably had just finished writing it, wanting to give it to her in person once it's complete

And nothing wrong spirit-wise? A long shot perhaps but it is for the best to cover all the bases here since ... yeah. Yeah.

There is nothing wrong spirit-wise. I mean Keigo's is a little fucked up on the account of being themselves but that's not a recent thing and there doesn't seem to be anything supernatural about their deaths. Both bodies were found lying peacefully, as if they had died in their sleep.

Well, he's not about to cry here. Instead he'll lightly brush aside some of Rantarou's hair strands. He has ideas based upon how the scene looks but...he doesn't think it quite matters.

So he will just leave as quickly as he came.
