may event log
The atmosphere grows heavier by the day. There is blood smeared around the school by students with injuries, and each time a character sees it they're struck by a sense of vertigo and unreality. The world seems to blur and spin at times, and at times they can see flickers of the other school in front of them before it disappears.
Patches of shadows will begin to appear around the entire right wing of all floors, including the locker area including the rooftop. Throughout the month the areas in which they appear will continue to expand, beginning to encompass pieces of the left wing. They appear at random at times, suddenly below ones feet, and those who can see that the floor has disappeared will find themselves falling - further and further until it suddenly stops, and they find themselves right back where they started.
Curiously, those who cannot see do not suffer from these effects. Instead, they may notice the biting cold more prominently, or hear and feel the loud sound of rotten and and broken floorboards beneath their feet in the school and barren landscaping outside. The school supplies they hold might seem to have fallen apart, the walls feel as though a fire has burnt them up and rotted them out. But it always disappears within moments - a few seconds, a trace of their hand.
In the forest, stairs appear here and there. If one chooses to walk up them, they seem to go to no where, and if they continue on long enough they'll find themselves somewhere else entirely - most off in the Mirror Room or Summoning room, but occasionally it might be a classroom or somewhere else entirely. The void will have an inverse effect, showing bits and pieces of the normal school, and if characters aren't careful they wall onto what they think is solid ground only to start falling into the true void.
Mirrors show different scenes from time to time. They may see empty scenery from back home, an older version of the school, or otherwise of the other school. If one turns their back on a mirror, they may find that something will reach out and try to grab them. These are easily shaken off, but they will be pulled against the mirror until it shatters or their body is crushed otherwise. It's as though reality itself were being eroded at by some unknown force.
Nagito Komaeda is more susceptible to the above effects, and they are more likely to occur in his presence. It's probably just his luck.
Nene Yashiro will be less susceptible to the above effects, and find that the shadow students tend to avoid her. However, she may find herself feeling ill, or struggling to recall things. At times it seems as though something is eating away at her memory, replaced by a strong enter the void. This effect is temporary.

Hinata Hajime's body will be found in the mirror room resting in front of the mirror. He looks peaceful, as though he were merely sleeping. The mirror in front of him has shattered. There is blood on the glass fragments. There are no signs of malpractice, but until the body anyone with supernatural sight will be able to see a group of shadow figures in a loose circle around him. Passing through one will leave them cold and numb, but they will not intervene with efforts to take the body. Those who visit the void on or after this date may think they see him int he void, but the sight flickers out to reveal it to be one of the shadow figures. The closer one was to Hinata, the more likely this is to occur.
There are additional messages left scattered across the clock tower:
".ɘɿoʇɘd ɘɿɘʜ ƚ'nƨɒw yɒwllɒʜ ƨiʜT"
".owƚ ƚɘǫ bnɒ ,ɘnin oƚ ɘviʇ bbɒ I"
".oɿɘz ,ɘvlɘwƚ ,ɿuoʇ yƚnɘwT"
Chiaki Nanami will find a note placed on her pillow:
"Take care of him."
Nagito Komaeda will find a copy of Confessions sitting on his desk at the student store. In one of the pages toward the back a note has been tucked inside:
"Take care of her."
Both notes match Hinata's handwriting.

The sound of turning cogs and the ticking of the clock grows louder, then comes to an abrupt stop. The hands continue to move with the time, but no sound will be heard. It will no longer chime on the hour.
At some point during the day, twelve students will go missing.

✽ Desecration of the body will not be allowed. Hinata's player was kind enough to allow use of their character to progress the plot, so please be respectful.
✽ The shadowy figures will appear more frequently where there is blood, fresh or otherwise, and/or mirrors.
✽ As with last month, characters who are isolated will find that they are more susceptible to being followed by the figures, and it may take longer interactions to dispel them completely.
✽ Items from the student shop that ward off supernatural creatures will aide in keeping the shadows from getting too close at first, but their effectiveness will wear off the longer a character is followed. They have a stacking effect.
✽ The counselor is only available to discuss contracts and possible deals this month. He seems to be in deep thought about something during discussions.
✽ Students will notice rumors are spreading more frequently, both about the school and player characters.
✽ Please stay tuned for additional updates toward the end of the month.

[Midori has the right of it, really, that Noah shouldn't try to be so much like his brother because Harque was his own person and Noah is Noah; there's no good way to say it without sounding cruel, he knows, but it's a good reminder. Looking up to someone doesn't mean he has to become that person. Harque wouldn't want that for him. In his admiration, he forgets that fact more often than he'd like to admit.]
You're right about all of that. Harque would gently bonk me with his spellbook if he heard me talking like this. [The gentlest bonk ever, enough to slightly stir Noah's messy hair and nothing more.] But, um... the most I know about the human body is where to hit to make it count. I know that's morbid, but Elrios isn't a safe world — that's stuff anyone who leaves a town has to know to be safe and make it to their destination. I don't know much about internal structures other than... "internal bleeding is bad" and "losing a limb could kill you" and basic stuff like that. The obvious stuff.
[So, yeah, someone teach this kid more about human anatomy. It'd help him.]

[ it's the spellbook that noah has with him which he reaches for, with it in his grasp, he lifts it above noah's head to slowly bring down — it stops a mere centimeter from his hair, pieces of hair barely brushing the book's cover before he sits it down. he replaces the book with his hand, and he pats gently against noah's head. ]
I couldn't use a book, but a touch works all the same.
[ to hear about his home world, it's just a mystery along with what both dynamo and add has offered to midori on occasions, but there's always something new to learn. all he's known is fighting, which isn't a bad thing when midori too trained himself at a young age to "play" in that way, but he's sure both him and noah's reason for taking lives are different. he finds no joy, but midori does, luckily this isn't about him right now. ]
Harque would want you to make the most of yourself, and I'll make sure you see to that. If I didn't, I'd be lying about the vow that I honor...
[ retracting his hand, he sets them on the table by noah's own as he looks over his arm. ]
This world isn't safe either, but knowing how to save someone will come in handy... I'll help you, but this takes time to learn. If you wish, we can use your body to study while honing your skills, but... that must sound terrifying. I only suggest since I can do emergency surgery if anything goes wrong.
[ while that's true, it opens opportunities for midori to get inside of noah in more ways than one, and even his head if he decides to do so. the sludge and slime inside of him can be replaced with confetti and candy, he could make this bleak life appear like something. ]

Uh-huh. Exactly like that.
[Even including the ruffling of hair, too. It makes warmth bloom in Noah's chest, that memory combined with everything occurring now. Midori is just... so, so cool, and wise, and if he's going to fill the blank space that Harque left behind, Noah's one hundred percent in. It's how he is with all of the older guys at the school, really; Midori is kind and intelligent like Harque was. Komaeda is a cryptid, but fun to interact with. Childe teaches Noah things and offers advice, too. All of these influences are bad but what does he know? He's young and impressionable.
The offer to learn how to learn more about the body while using his own, though, that's interesting. Noah tilts his head like a confused cat at the offer.]
Is that... safe? It sounds effective since I don't want to just... y-you know, walk up to someone and say "Hey, are you hurt, do you want me to heal you?" 'Cause that sounds weird, but... I don't want to do anything too risky, either.

[ there's an unmistakable genuineness in his words, a kindness in his eyes as he looks in noah's direction at the surprise then curiosity that appears on his face. jade meets with the surface of the sea covered by night's blanket in the other's gaze, and the pupil reenacts the role of a star within the center. midori chuckles softly while his hand reaches out to settle over noah's own. ]
It must be hard not knowing my credibility.
[ noah has never seen him work, but might put in the trust to listen to the ideas that midori has for the long term when it comes to his training and studies. it would be the best choice, midori is quite the teacher in this field for he has dedicated his life to doing everything right, to learn how concepts tick so that he can use them in his favor. ]
You must know Miss Helena! A splendid young girl I've had the pleasure of working with. Recently, she suffered a great deal of agony to her legs... due to her condition, she should have lost them.
[ a bear attack. the truth in that is there for that monster had sunk in its teeth and claws to destroy the flesh, muscle, even down to precious bone. after that encounter, helena shouldn't be able to walk or have the ability to do so later, no amount of healing would repair wasn't been shattered. ] Ah, luckily I was able to work my magic!
[ knowledge, time, effort, love, and other things like that. ]
Nothing like yours, [ a small joke ] but I made the impossible, possible. That's why you shouldn't worry, I could save you from the brink of death if you manage to find me in time.

[Noah frowns deeply, concerned, but if Helena is okay, then... that's really all that matters, isn't it? He wouldn't have been able to do anything against a bear attack other than kill the bear, and knowing him he'd have showed up too late to help anyway. See, this is what Noah means when he says he doesn't trust himself to be there whenever something happens. If he was omnipotent, that would be handy.
More to the point, he gives Midori a cautious little nod.]
...okay. Teach me how to save lives. I'll trust you to guide the way.

[ it's like midori read his mind, but he knows the other is concerned for his friends and would think that even a predicament like that is his fault. ]
Think of it like this. When someone is injured, they have to take them to the hospital immediately! There isn't a doctor on duty during the scene... so there is a gap always.
[ with one hand to lift, he pats noah's head gently. ] But we can check on every person here ensuring that they're fine, I'll even take you on my rounds.
[ and teach him how to save lives. ]
