[ the white gloves he was wearing is covered in red, and he's slowly stripping his hands of wet gloves to drop into the miniature trashcan by him with the weight of his foot against the switch. it's the heavy thump inside that really brings out how covered in blood the gloves were, and after he smacks his hands together to act as if he's removing any clinging debris.

Interested? [ he doesn't hand over a flyer like he did last time, but instead he holds out a sheet of paper in his hands. it's just about the human body, but specifically the brain which is drawn neatly on the paper with scientific terms pointing at various parts of the membrane. ]
The hippocampus, the neo-cortex and the amygdala are what handles a person's explicit memory. I would simply have to stir awake a certain memory in order to paint a bigger picture, it's akin to... listening to your favorite song over and over again, and one day you stop!
[ his hands drop down to his side. ] You forget all about that song and go on with your daily life, until one day, a melody sticks with you in the recesses of your mind but you simply cannot recall the song, or the lyrics, just that little tune which itches your brain. So what do you do? You begin to try and figure out the melody through humming, or even the words. You only need a starting point.
Right, I get it. Like that one handkerchief trick — you just need to pull on the first one, and the rest will come along with it.

( all of his, essentially, they come down to people. there's no avoiding that he's going to have to trust someone if he wants to follow through on his memories, and while seiya has been troubling to properly track down, hiyori... well, hiyori has ranger's recommendation, and ranger's proven himself to be telling a story consistent with what the others remember — and with more details besides. if amami has to look at what's available to him, if he needs to take some kind of risk... this alone feels like the safest bet to take. )
