hey did anyone else get suddenly slapped in the face with a random flashback out of nowhere or is it just me?

no it doesnt have anything to do with my mental health it has to do with the school

my wrist was hurting where the tally used to be? and then i remembered it happened before
they had just appeared on everyone out of nowhere. some had dozens, some had one. the counselor didn't help any but the nurse said "a tangential reminder of an essential part of their soul, their memory and their very sense of self, something that would prove to be as important to them as either, and that it was also meant to be a physical reminder of what they've done and what's been done to them, one that can never be erased."

she said they were necessary for us to grow but didn't explain what them carrying over meant
she said that i didnt have to worry because i only had one, but i should try to help others with more- or stop people who wanted to get more
she also said they'd disappear when we were ready
