THERE AINT NO PARTY LIKE A BLANKET FORT SLUMBER PARTY
Who: OPEN to anyone and everyone!
When: May 22nd (Saturday) after 6pm and the following morning
Where: Class 3-D
What: it's time to heal from all the chaos and murder with a blanket fort slumber party, hell yeah hell yeah
Sometime after school has fully closed for the day and everyone else has gone home, a sign is put up on the door to 3-D. In rounded letters and surrounded by drawings of flowers and a couple cartoon cats, it reads:
BLANKET FORT CONSTRUCTION ZONE
slumber party @ 8pm
all are welcome!
(rule breakers will be sent to JAIL)
... if you show up early, everything might still be in the process of being set up, but by 8pm most of the desks and chairs in the room have either been pushed to the sides or stacked strategically in the middle to form mighty fortress walls. These are, of course, topped with blankets for cover, because it wouldn't be a blanket fort without blankets. Blankets are a limited resource at the school, so it's recommended to bring your own if you don't want to share a fort with someone else. Or maybe just steal a big scrap of fabric from the art room. Close enough, right?
Aside from the obvious arrangements at the centre, there is an un-blanketed pair of desks set aside for snacks. Nene made cookies, and Clamor has put out a bowl of healthy nuts and fruit (as if anyone would actually take those over the cookies). For drinks, there are a few bottles of juice and one pot of (thoroughly filtered) tea and a few cups to use. A small folded sign at the table politely reads "Don't be greedy."
If you are greedy, or if you harass anyone else just trying to have a good time, you risk being sent to...gay baby jail™. It is, as always, a cardboard box situated in the farthest corner of the room, and guarded diligently by only the most fearsome of dads and buff teenagers. You have been warned.
There is also a second cardboard jail cell on the opposite corner of the room, which is not labelled (yet). The inside is absolutely covered in scratch marks, since it's the same box that was used to catch the cat earlier in the month... but now it's jail 2: jail harder. It is reserved for criminals who cannot be allowed to collaborate during jail time, and you know who you are, please just behave yourselves.
This is meant to be a slumber party, so eventually, an amount of slumber will be expected. Luckily it's the weekend, so everyone is welcome to sleep in for as long as they want... just don't sleep in too late, unless you want to get stuck helping with clean up.
((OOC: It's another mingle!!! Feel free to make your own toplevels and comment around, start some party games, bring some extra snacks, hijack Nene's nerf gun to lay siege to your neighbour's fort... w/e!
This is meant to be something of a break from the usual death and despair of murderschool, so please don't do any actual murders in this log that is literally the lowest bar i can ask of y'all. Put warnings in your threads as needed! General chaos is fine, but characters that cause too much of a disturbance will be manhandled and sent togay baby jail™. You have been warned... twice!!
ICly the fort construction and party is being arranged by Clamor, Noah, Sidney and Nene, but basically anyone who wants to pop in and help out is welcome to, and CR may have been asked to join/help out in advance. If you need an excuse for your character to come, someone else could've dragged them there to chill—just ask!
anyway that's all pls have fun, go nuts))

( yeah, he doesn't even know if noah is there, but he sure is laying here to be annoying. )

[Get OFF of him!]
Can I help you?!
no subject
( let komaeda dig his hand into the fort to try and grab at noah, he misses many times, but he's laughing as he does so. )
I wanted to ask if you wanted to be up to no good with me.

[One missed grab winds up tickling Noah and he makes this endearing little snort-laugh noise, sputters for a second, and then manages,]
—what kind of trouble?

We should put together a game, I'm thinking Would You Rather...
( but with consequences. )

Hi!
no subject
Ah— Nene, um... are you having fun so far?
[Noah has a Very heavy-looking fantasy book on his lap and his notebook is, per usual, next to him in case he decides to start sketching.]
no subject
Mmm... Yeah! It's not too loud for you and your reading, is it?
no subject
[He just sort of... maybe looks at her for a second too long before he turns back to pretend he's interested in this book more than he's interested in her.]
I just... I've never been to something like this, is all.

( it's a big group with komaeda, rika and ouma, at that. )

Oh! May I ask what you're drawing?
no subject
O-oh, um...
[Noah turns his sketchbook toward Turing, a little shyly at that. He's mostly just drawing cartoon cats, but there are a couple sketches of a girl with a sword which is inspired by what he's reading.]
Nothing much, r-really...
no subject
I like the cats! They're very cute. [ It helped that they liked cats to begin with, too. Though eventually, the girl with the sword did draw their attention. Their own artwork was usually abstract or of landscapes, so seeing drawings of people was interesting in its own way. ]
Who is this? Did you use a model for these sketches?
no subject
[He holds up a heavy-looking fantasy novel that he stole from the library. He'll put it back before midnight, he swears.]
She's the princess of this nation and she's also a knight, or she wants to be. Uh... she rides a dragon but I'm still trying to figure out how to draw a dragon.
no subject
[ Hayden had never read them any sort of fantasy books. They had only been allowed to consume educational programs and similar, and fantasy books definitely did not count according to his pragmatic views. Therefore, talk of princesses and knights and dragons was just...amazing! Turing wasn't quite at "vibrating out of excitement" levels yet, but they were certainly staring at that novel in awe for juuuust long enough to make it obvious before they snapped back to reality. ]
I wish I could help you with drawing a dragon, but dragons aren't what I usually draw.
no subject
[Noah's eyes light up at the comment. A fellow artist... Well, he doesn't consider himself much of an artist since this is all just a way of keeping his hands occupied more than anything and he doesn't think he's really that great, but... either way, he really wants to see Turing's art!]
Do you, um... do you have any drawings on you? I want to see.

Ne, ne - Are you a robot?
no subject
Yes! To be more specific, I am a Relationship and Organizational Manager, or ROM for short. Are you familiar with ROMs?
no subject
How can you operate though the way that you are though?
[ Please dont mind her. ]
no subject
My diagnostics aren't showing any issues and my battery packs are charged, so I...operate in the same way I always have?
[ Turing was pretty sure that wasn't the correct answer but that was the only answer they had! ]
