natsume'll lead the way though, giving the body a glance — no one he knows, not even in the vague "maybe this one is in my class" sense, which is ... a little better for him. )
You're too heavy for me to LIFT, so get that idea out of your HEAD. ( grumble— ) If I could throw you OUT, I'd do it in a heartBEAT, what other people think of me be DAMNED.
( ...maybe. anyway, stairwell. )
no subject
( thin? a twig? luckily for natsume, komaeda doesn't say anything else on the matter considering he does find him actually pretty. beautiful people, ugly people, he'll let them know when he sees them, but he should accept this decent accusation that leaves from his lips. )
To throw someone out, it'd be best to... take them to 1-D, right? It has a nice view of the courtyard.
( they could always go to the student council, and komaeda could borrow gundham's key to get inside, but that would probably cause problems for everyone involved. what if maya's into dead bodies because of her personality? you never know. that aside, he wonders if there's something they can use to carry the body, because komaeda has done his fair share, and he's not the best person for that sort of mission either. )
...Do you think the workshop has a platform truck?
no subject
Have you ever been to an ordinary high school in your LIFE? ( not that natsume has but ) We'd be more likely to find that type of thing outSIDE, for plants and soil and SUCH.
( except.
Except.
they have elevator construction going on this moth, and natsume looks in the direction of it. huh... hm... )
But perhaps we can find one anyWAY. How else would they get the supplies and tools needed into the school to work on the clocktower's soon-to-be-usable elevaTOR?
no subject
( they're chosen for their abilities, and how they're better than others — it makes him wonder how people are chosen here to attend this school as well, but he'll figure it out next time. what he wants to do is remind natsume that he's far from normal, that komaeda couldn't even be considered the word even though there's a place deep in his heart that aches for it. he ignores it, he doesn't believe it exists, because he only wants to live in a world filled with hope and talent, he'll do anything for it. )
...I wonder what else they have that we can borrow.
( do they even leave their tools here? holy shit, about to take something for the future that komaeda could use. as they walk past one of the sprinklers, the head falls off, hitting the ground with a loud clack, but it makes the "rainwater" wider in its reach. so if natsume doesn't want to be splashed, maybe he should stand next to komaeda closely who doesn't mind taking the hit. )
You're pretty... ( ... ) smart, Sakasaki-kun. Wanting to take advantage of the clueless workers who work in order to make our lives easier.
no subject
natsume debates the pros and cons of getting close to komaeda versus taking the L in the sprinkler, and. fine, he hates the idea of being soaked more than he hates komaeda, so he moves closer to him. )
Smart isn't the word other people would USE, especially with a follow-up line like THAT. ( he also feels like it's common sense, so smart isn't really what he'd call it, either. he's just putting some basic observations on the table. ) At the end of the DAY, the only people we have to rely on are ourselves and those of us that can't leave the school when the rest of the student body goes HOME. Not the worKERS, not the student counCIL, not the teachers or any spirits that may still reside HERE.
( ... )
A little petty crime never hurt anyone anyWAY.
( comments local terrorist natsume sakasaki who unabashedly put a bomb in a bathroom sink and would plant a bomb anywhere else without a second thought )
no subject
( he takes notice of that, especially with how he's splashed by the sprinkler on one side that he's covered in the pink stain of the water, half of his uniform drenched while he stares at the other. to be honest, this is quite surprising, but komaeda isn't the type to put his arm around just anyone. before, natsume hated komaeda being close to him, so it makes him wonder what changed his entire view — no, he's not thinking of the water because it's just a little splash, he should be able to handle something like that, right? )
I don't have much say on the workers, or the teachers, or even the spirits —
( one spirit tried to eat away at saihara once, but that was like him watching how much the ultimate detective's hope and his will to live. actually, that was pretty exciting for komaeda, yeah he was light-headed from stabbing himself, but he'd do it again to see that. )
I will say the Student Council... they're interesting, I believe that Arisu-san has the right idea in enabling the hopes of others, besides, she helped Ishimaru-kun... no one believed he would make it, and he did.
( the way he won't let komaeda help who is also good at planting bombs and moving them if people become to aware of where they are. he does want to learn natsume's craftsmanship when it comes to them, but he guesses his time will come soon, and as they come closer to the stairwell... the body appears to be missing a few pieces of skin. hm, komaeda's not too bothered. )
no subject
...conversation— )
Are you referring to her death MATCH? I adMIT, I can't bring myself to be surprised at all that that was her preferred way of choosing a new memBER... The little wolf lives up to her NAME.
no subject
( that's a sort of symbolism he thinks about, the way she's aware of her surroundings, how she has her own little pack — maybe natsume is also part of that as to why he says that. )
You should be careful, or little wolf will devour you too, ehe~.
( he's going to allow natsume search for where the cart may be, as for komaeda? he's going to go back to the deceased body to grab their wrist, watching as their throat is swollen from something inside, or that's just how they were flattered and the air pushed up. either way, he's using the water to make it easier for him to slide, dragging them back into the stairwell, and he'll use his backside to push the door open so he can get through — )
no subject
( it's what he admires about her - her strength of will. anyway, he'll search for some kind of trolley or pull cart or whatever, dragging it over once he's managed to. it isn't in the best shape, but it'll do, pig. it'll do. )
I'm a hunter THOUGH, ( he says idly, referring to the last patt of komaeda'd words. ) I don't get eaTEN.
no subject
( he mentions to himself, thinking about all the times she's put distance between herself and others, but she does appear to be the type protect what she has. it makes komaeda laugh at the thought, a little jealous that she can do something like that. imagine having someone that you can love enough to kill for — well, imagine loving without an obsession.
is that what he carried the bodies on to the window? lmfaoooo!
upon natsume's return, komaeda pulls the body onto the trolley, and he reaches out with his prosthetic to brush against their neck. it feels thin, that it's ready to pop at any moment if he continues to mess with it. )
A hunter... does that mean you're after her?
( ... ) Or what she loves...
no subject
( she isn't a game to him, so it isn't like he can say her... and hiro has become less a target and more of an existence he appreciates the company of, so he isn't much of prey either. natsume smacks his (non-prosthetic) shoulder, wiping his hand off on the stairwell wall after. )
Stop touching it like that, you FREAK. Let's get this over WITH.
no subject
( he's placed his bets, and maya if you see this, tear him limb from limb. well, that's what he'd think until he's smacked on the shoulder. his brow raises as he looks at natsume, tilting his head like a dog until he glances down at the body. ) Hmmm... alright.
( he stands up properly, leaving the cart to natsume to pull... yes twink, get them muscles in action so that he'll be fit for the host club. )
You shouldn't say it like we killed them... but, it's a good thing they've died like this... their hope was weak, after all... we don't need the weak among our ranks.
no subject
but god....... he hates extra physical labor - practice is one thing, gym is another, and he skips out on the latter almost all of the time. he almost considers just leaving it here, but no, they're doing this he guesses, so he'll od his best to pull it along :/ twink he may be but idols do be movin a lot u know... they got that stamina. )
There isn't much hope can do against attacks people aren't prepared FOR. ( wryly said. ) Can you really judge someone's merit on THAT?
no subject
...Do you believe that's cowardice, I believe letting them know in advance makes things more exciting.
( like how komaeda told hanamura his reason for wanting to kill, and then the chef went out his way to prevent komaeda's antics, but killing someone instead. in the end, someone else will wind up protecting you to prevent the aggressor from being punished. it was an unfortunate scenario for him, because even then komaeda wanted to die... lots of people normally die in his stead. )
That way, you'll have to trust your own hope on how to apply yourself during the time, but who knows... maybe they were aware it would happen? That's just weakness, Sakasaki-kun... they'll never come back, we just have to accept it.
( he pauses, watching the other push the cart. )
To prevent this from happening again, we'll have to protect each other... that sort of hope can happen in the group that you have.
no subject
( give him a sec, ugh— )
Are you part of this group or NOT, Komaeda-san? You can't have it both WAYS.
no subject
( is he twisting this to use it against natsume? well, he sure is. )
I never knew you were a misfit that feels as if they don't belong.
( he knows he can't have it both ways, but he's never asked for much outside of doing things for hope. if there's any side that he's on, this one remains true, he follows where hope goes. he's always been like that, and to stop now would be unbecoming of him. )
no subject
( this ain't about him, bitch. )
I'm part of IT, and unfortunateLY, so are YOU. Don't act as if none of this affects or applies to YOU. ( pissing him off w/this early year tsumugi bs ) Even if you keep being put in the crazy corNER, the others would agree with ME. For better or for WORSE, you're part of the group we have going on HERE.
no subject
( is he really part of this community, or do they keep him because they have no choice? being wanted because they're afraid has less effect on him than anything else here. )
Can you really speak for them all, Sakasaki-kun... or are you speaking for yourself?
( he hums, reaching out to the other to pinch the other's white lock of hair, and he pulls away. )
If you want me around you... you must pity me.
no subject
natsume flicks his hair away from komaeda's fingers even after they've left the lock. )
I wish you'd leave me alone, actualLY. ( at the same time — natsume himself has a problem with leaving people well-enough alone, so he'd probably seek komaeda out to check on him in the end, even if it was merely distanced watching. this is probably karma, though. ) We have a bunch of people who consider themselves to be "GOOD," so whether they really like it or NOT, they'll take you into their FLOCK. Sheep always consider what's best for their entire group and try not to make too many chanGES.
no subject
( while this tends to be a flock with sheep who hardly want any changes which isn't a bad thing, but isn't that putting himself out of the group that he wants to be part of. they always say that safety is in numbers, and that's why sheep don't really stray out from their collective army. there's a certain type of geese that all herd in numbers to appear threatening, and but are easily defeated no matter their attempts if a predator decides to go in. whatever that group is that they make themselves out to be, komaeda hums in thought as he smiles. )
It's hard to tell if you're actually that, or just a farmer who wants to see their livestock prosper.
( but he'll keep both in mind. a hunter, a farmer, or does he just like having control... komaeda has came to this conclusion yet again, but it's not like he can judge him for that. )
Anyways, they need to change.
no subject
...They DO. Being martyrs is just going to hurt them in the END, and unless they're completely incapable of IT, they'll just grow to resent those they sacrificed so much time and emotional labor FOR. ( more people are like him than they are his older brothers, gods so willing to cut pieces of themselves and whittle themselves down to almost nothing in order to entertain and please and make happy the masses.
anyway this is such a conversation to have while they're going to dump some rando's body on their date, can't believe this thread turned out like this. dangan stars. )
no subject
( can they resent someone who did it all for them? hm, it does seem to be part of human nature to adore, and to hate, especially when it comes to things they don't understand. he hums thoughtfully as they turn towards a classroom? yeah, they have to pick the one that has the open windows... and it would be komaeda to happily run over, lifting the windows, and pulling back the screen. )
Growing accustomed to this lifestyle is... just disappointing, and a loss I can't watch the others accept. ( he thinks, looking back at the other. ) Accepting such an easy route... they'll regret it.
( im crying why are they on CRACK. )
no subject
Rather than becoming accustomed to IT, it might be better to say they're trying to make the best of a bad situaTION... Waiting is just as important as acting someTIMES. ( but wait too long for your chance, and you might miss it, might resign yourself to the state of things, might "grow accustomed" to something instead... ) Are you the type to pull the lever to save three people at the cost of one THEN? The trolley proBLEM... Assuming that all four people in this equation aren't any of your precious Ultimate stuDENTS. Just to make it FAIR.
no subject
( he's counting on his fingers because i think this is cute when you make him do math, but there's four people, to sacrifice one to save three... hmmm. )
Before I answer... "they", do you find yourself different to them? You don't strike me as the type to make do with this, especially when you're willing to use others for your own personal gain.
( now for his question... ) ...Ordinary and boring people are the majority because the world is filled with weaklings, and if I had control over the lever... I can remove as many as I need, but that's not my decision —
( he turns around, pressing his back against the wall as he stares at the other. ) I wouldn't be there if none were my precious Ultimates.
no subject
but fine. )
All of them are your Ultimates NOW.
