[ Nanami takes the item in hand, now with his signature. Taking the clipboard and covering a bit of her face. Eyes had moved away as if trying to read something on the side ( Processing her data bank of information ). Then returned back to him with thoughts after having processed them. ]
... I want to hang out with you more. I don't understand you sometimes, but out of everyone I have met. You understood me more then Hajime-kun sometimes did, and I never felt like I appreciated that enough.
[ Nanami took a moment to think on her words, they were the truth. Even at the end when she was the traitor, and he didn't even know who she was. It begs the question of whether or not he even knew the truth now - did he? Or did he just dance around the subject, because at the end it didn't change anything? Or was he hold onto that fact, knowing she couldn't admit it herself? ]
Anyway isn't that what friends are for? [ Honestly every time she says this, its a real question as much as it is a rhetorical one. Or prosed as a joking phrase. ] Helping each other out, and inviting each other to do things.

...
( at this point, he wishes that he had the clipboard so that he could place his attention on that than her words. he likes to think he's aware of people's feelings, that he understand those around him without inviting himself in their life. he keeps them at a distance, but he likes to think he, of all unlikely candidates understand them. he looks down at the table where he had signed, and then he looks up at her to read her previously hidden face. )
Ahahaha, you shouldn't say that so freely, you'll hurt Hinata-kun's feelings.
( he hears her, but he's unable to keep a topic on himself, but he understands what she's getting at. despite his efforts within the virtual world, he understood her enough. that's because komaeda took his bonds with others serious. he thinks about the bond he shares with nanami, and while he doesn't know everything about her predicament after he dies — he feels a little different now. whether that's good or bad, he doesn't say. )
You don't have to invite me Nanami-san, as you know... I appear when everyone least expects it!
( but it does feel... nice. )

[ Nanami says this with a serious face, very excited to know that Nagito Komaeda will be something special like that. In her mind, its painted rather perfectly, finding that the role suits him best entirely. He was someone who came and went with the wind, and you accepted that fact about him thusly. Otherwise trying to hold down onto someone who moved with the flow of things, would just be inherently silly. Or worse, detrimental to him. ]
... Ne, ne - What have you been doing lately? Did you meet the other Ultimates from Hope Academy theres so many of us now! Not only that, there are also more new faces.
[ The comment about Hinata goes passed over her - she heard it. Processed it. Accepts it, but doesn't really understand how to respond to something incidentally like that. The girl knows he is teasing, but how does one respond to remarks like that without feeding the idea of being teased more. In the most simplest of ways, she merely moves on from it.
Asks him a question. Keeps a casual conversation flowing, no different from anyone else. ]

his eyes lift to meet hers, and he's silent until the topic causes his eyes to widen just a bit before they return to normal, and then his smile twitches — turning up properly. )
I've met many while we've been here!
( a subject that he knows so well, one that he's knowledgeable in, and now that he thinks about it, it's probably a good idea to speak on them. they're alone, and no one will know, and there's a passion in komaeda's voice as he begins. )
Ishimaru-kun... the same one from Future Foundation's black book...
( from what the book told him, he already knows that ishimaru took part in the first killing game, and he even knows the cause of his death. understanding how he took part in monokuma's efforts before any of them was quite the discovery, but even now komaeda's aware of the truth. he knows that his knowledge isn't as lengthy as komaeda's own, like how the game has actively went on for a long time, or how junko enoshima was defeated by his classmate who in a way is hope. as he thinks about it, his heart falls into his stomach, a little torn, but he manages to move on. )
I didn't account to meet the dead, but... isn't it amazing? ( he wonders if nanami will agree. ) Hope truly is radiant enough to affect the state of the world even after death!

[ Nanami cant figure out the right words to say when viewing over the fact that many of the people here who she knew, were marked off as dead. That didn't even include the suspicion of the other Ultimates like Rantaro or Saihara - who of them were dead before coming here? If at all? ]
Ah... No I guess I am glad, because it means we can be together all over again. At the same time, this is just another killing game so those feelings fall short - right? I don't think anyone deserves or belongs in a place like this. A game where people die, isn't a fun game or a game at all.
[ She surmises, especially when the place seems to coincide with rules of Jabberwock island and Monokuma them self. The deaths, graduation, and the countless sort of individuals put together that are forced to live and talk to each other. Mark her as strange, and eerily familiar. ]
... Thats why... [ Her purpose as an AI comes together all over again, and the sole fact that Nanami herself were the class rep in her living life. It was hard for her to not attempt or naturally try, to bring folks together. Whether it was something inherently intermediate or reflectively consequential. In the same way she created this club, especially with the slight want of someone if anyone. Figuring out what she were. ] ... We should work together. To figure this place out....
[ Something she remembers Monomi constantly saying, and frankly Nanami at times failed to follow. Thinking she alone could stop everyone from killing each other, it was always a group effort. Maybe this time she learned not to relay so much on Hinata and maybe on everyone together. ]

( he's neutral despite his efforts towards the transfer students, and then whatever he can do for the locals. his attempt at finding the side of whose hope shines brighter than the rest is difficult in a school like this, considering only so much can be done to make a spectacle of it. it's because of that is why he takes precaution, looking over every student individually until he finds the right person or side — )
If this is like the last killing game...
( his words come off hesitant, unaware of how the ending played out. how does he explain that he doesn't know anything after the final moments of his death? the scene of everyone brought together to defeat enoshima to bring themselves towards graduation. the frustration shows on his face as he remembers certain emotions of anger, irritation, desperation, and finally his own hope when he gambled on his luck. it's a phantom pain where he can still feel the spear through his body, the burning pain that came from stabbing his legs — probably amplified too by fukawa's scissors in the same area. )
I'll do what I have to in order to see hope win. ( he laughs, looking up at nanami as if he's searching for an answer. not one that says he shouldn't do this, nor is he looking for her approval on the things he wants to do, but rather... when this is all over, and they wake up, will she...
hm, that's too much to ask, especially when he knows. )
That's pretty much all there is to it, so as long as you all stand together... Absolute good will come from it!

[ In that moment perhaps she wonders, if he truly had any memories of the life after Neo Program. It made her wonder because, the way he spoke were as if he immediately were plucked from the island itself. There were many thoughts for her to surmise in the way that he simplifies things through his moral compass of hope. Every part of her wished that more of the class were here, if only to deter him from doing things she could not stop him from doing herself. ]
You too Nagito, you have to make sure to be there with all of us at the end.
[ Meaning, stop self sacrificing yourself. ]
The future wont be the same, without you.
[ Thinking quaintly to herself, if she had even knew a slither of what the other would have done before he relied on his luck. To defeat the despair remnants then, she would have told him not to go so far and to believe in the future. If only she could have known more, understood more, been more capable. Regardless the words are left from her mouth with a gentle note. Pulling the clipboard away from her face so he can see all of her expression, which frankly were not much. Outside of the small definitive smile Nanami offers him. ]

( he slept, he lived, he died, and he woke up again to a world that was different from the norm, but everything he knew came back to him as he was stirred from his sleep. he remembers the program that he was trapped in — a world where hope didn't exist, and talent didn't matter. he was just some ordinary kid, living his ordinary days with the students from hope's peak. it lacked hinata, and it lacked nanami, and that world was literally a sickness that he had to get out of. )
It's not what they think it's going to be.
( he starts, thinking of hinata, thinking of gundham, and the list can go on and on, but the others are here. she has to know what the future is now, right? well, back home, if they're ever able to go back. as he talks about it, it's not that he's sensitive to the conversation or upset with what happened, no, it's not like that at all. )
The future is a disaster, even if I'm not involved...
( it's said like a joke despite how self-deprecating it sounds, but he'll leave that up to nanami to decide. )

So it tickled her, in that common sense aligned right. A soft laugh, very small. Almost an exhale of breath and she quickly answers, ]
It's still your future anyway.
[ That was after all ultimately, what each of them accepted at the end. Especially Hinata when he and the others chose to graduate and make their own miracle. ]
I'm sure ever you can make something out of that.

( about the future, what they'll come to realize at the end, even though komaeda doesn't know the exact outcome — he know he waiting for hinata to save him from that nightmare. the future he woke to was just as it was depicted in the future foundation's book with them as remnants, and the past all flooded back to him reminding the ultimate what brought them to that unfortunate lifestyle. it's their future, and to komaeda, he's not too beat up about it, but that's because everything turns out a positive for him. )
Or him... what your future has in store.
( he noticed the way hinata depended on her at the slumber party, how they laid there pressed together. he doesn't know what they spoke about, but he did happen to catch it when walking away from them. what they do isn't a big deal to him, but he knows that hinata doesn't know the full truth. he wonders if that was knowledge he learned once he managed to come out of the neo world program, he must have had time to come to terms with it since komaeda was the last one to stir from his sleep. )
...But if you didn't tell him then, you won't tell him now.

[ She asks almost immediately. Without hesitation. ]

( yeah.
goodbye! )

( and she can follow him all she wants, but he's not going to budge... it's because he's bored of the conversation now. )

[ Nanami just states rather plainly. ]

( he looks at her, smiling softly. )
Does that bother you?

[ She thinks musing over the conversation. ]

( he's not running from it, and he would love to delve deeper in what he knows, and what she does as well. )
Out in the open where anyone can hear, I do have tact, Nanami-san.

[ She states plainly, as if his own statement were merely foolish to even say. ]
Just kidding, youre right after all.
[ Then again that was the point at least for her. ]
no subject
( just in case she needed a reason why he's against speaking, but it's not mostly about them. )
The same can be said for most of these transfers, while they can make their own hope... Ultimates shine more brilliantly than them.
( so if this is something she wants to talk about, then he can exchange words in a disclosed location. )
no subject
[ So she says. ]
It's fine if you don't want to talk about it... But dont misunderstand.
[ A pause. ]
.... Ne, you know Senpai right? The guy Rika-chan talks to? I seen you talking to him too before.
no subject
( why is komaeda always misunderstood? he never misunderstands, remember that. )
...? I talk to a lot of people, who are you referring to?

She feels sleepy...
Change in a sense that they are no longer abused, or brainwashed into the actions of what Junko Enishima wanted from them.
Not Changed in a sense that, Komaeda has to view others the same way Nanami does.
It was why she asked him the question that prompted this direction of conversation. As if she failed, once again her flag check in a relationship game. In trying to correctly maneuver points with others, and gain their acceptance. Gain their want to have interest in her - she failed again.
She feels sleepy...
It was that she wanted him to accept her for who she is, in the same way she accepts him.
However she is not allowed that sense of closeness with anyone, let alone Komaeda who she perhaps hoped to have that established with if at all anyone. Almost relaying on the perspective conception of his mind. How he already seems to understand things at large, that others do not. When he breaks things down from a 3rd perspective. It was why in her own foolish but girlish desperation. She had followed after him, as if wanting something more from what he was giving her.
Nanami thinks on it, the value of the exchanged. How she failed, and how she foolishly wished to work against the laws that seemed to abide against her. It makes her feel foolish to try to even establish meaningful relationships. When she cant even tell any of them the truth of the matter. At least upon the island there was a purpose for it - here it almost felt as if she were cruelly trying too hard to fit in.
As if trying too hard to formulate moments where each and every one of them can figure it out for themselves. Was she trying too hard? Creating the wrong sorts of paths? As if she were either developing some otome game herself, or playing her cards the wrong way. The same sort of values she held in wanting Hinata to treat her like a girl, she wanted everyone to know some how about her truth. Chose the right words. Chose the right path, to figure it out on their own. When it were as it is, she wasn't suppose to be doing any of this. It went against her very nature - but she was trying.
Especially when making the club but an obvious attempt at a plea for help?
She's almost seemingly begging for anyone to help.
She feels sleepy...
Anyway, she actually does not take long to respond.]
