ethics...club...
Who: the ethics club and whoever wants to crash their party
When: whenever in august!
What: just a mingle post for the disasters
Warnings: uhhh...........well there's a bunch of problematic people here probably, so we'll see how this goes. will update.
The "ethics" club isn't really that well furnished so far. So far, there's only a few things -- things that only Josh is able to access, as well as a dart board, a cheap (and faulty) polygraph machine, and a button maker?
Well, the other members will have to make those. But he does have a certain design for it, if someone was interested in ""helping"" him make the pins...
Otherwise, Joshua's probably usually in here, in classroom 2-D, and he won't turn anyone away. He might warn of anyone coming in of their eccentric group, but he doesn't really mind either way.
But there are papers spread around, not that he really wants to do the work of ensuring that his club stays open, but he figures there's no use in just ignoring it. So there's probably going to be some reports to go through on the papers, or something that could be defined as work.

Absolute good...that depends on the person, doesn't it? My "absolute good" might not be the same as someone else's. That's why the whole subject is interesting, isn't it? What people define as good and evil...

( don't think he can slide that easily, but komaeda's curiosity is there when it comes to what josh finds as the "absolute good". while he asked the questions, he never answered them himself, and as their club leader — everyone should know him a little better as well. komaeda too is mysterious, and despite seeming like an easy book to read, that's all it is... that's what it "seems". he doesn't wear his feelings on his sleeve, and the smile he offers now isn't genuine, it barely reaches his eyes.
the way he watches josh is practically like he's looking through him, almost like no one's there, until he blinks a few times to refocus. he's there now, komaeda has his moments where hope gets the better of him, and it's the only thing he can fixate on. )
I want to know your definition, too. Let's start here, about those... evils. For me... it's nothing but worthless cowards running around, clinging onto those greater than them... smothering, extinguishing the light of those who are meant to shine brilliantly. A disgusting evil, putrid, and yet... I have to conversate with them so the hope I love so much isn't tarnished.
( how evil that komaeda has to suffer, but when it comes to his ultimates, he'd do anything. )

Hmm...I'd say that true evil is stagnation, and the people who wish it on culture. The whole purpose of mankind is to change and improve, and those who would try to enforce the status quo, I believe, could be what I'd consider "evil". Other than that, my preferences aren't so black and white, as long as my ideals are being met. People kill for the greater good, and people are kind as a way to be "evil" to others to betray them later. You can twist any kind of black and white notion to something more gray.
But it's important to others, so that's why I posed the question. Even if they pretend they don't, most have their own opinions of it. They have very defined terms, but it's only because they don't see the bigger picture of what's going on around them.
[a beat, and he spreads his hands out a bit and smirks.]
There's only a few who can honestly judge good and evil, and it's not the common man for decide.

( it happens in a few ultimates, komaeda has showed his dislike for when it happens to them, and that being evil is... he doesn't know if he can see it that way. the talented aren't evil for when they are frozen in place for a moment, annoying, but never evil, but the population that deny to see what needs to be done, afraid of taking a step forward, that is... in a way stalling their hope, and that fear, that weakness is capable of eating away the light of those who soar higher above them. )
Black and white, though... a world filled with hope is all that matters, absolute good that'll shape those that understand it.
( he places his hands on the table, crossing them as he leans forward to stare up at joshua. his thoughts are interesting however, catered to the population than himself which he finds just as interesting, why does he care for that group as a whole rather than select people. komaeda understands people are different, they're not from his home, so... there's things he needs to understand, this unique interest in joshua that makes him sit in place and continue this conversation. )
What are you searching for from asking that question to everyone here, the truth or the lies?
( for komaeda doesn't lie, he's honest to a fault, but this doesn't mean what he says is right. ) If you understand common man can't judge it properly, but you have a good eye in differentiating between the two.

It's as I said when I got here. Meaningful questions will tell you more about a person than asking how the weather is doing or how certain people are doing. There's no point in that -- I'd rather just skip all of that. I can tell between truth and lies when people try to answer those sorts of questions, but each are equally as interesting.

You could say that the only people who could judge are God--or Gods, depending on your beliefs. [or composers--] Otherwise, it's too biased to be believed in my opinion.

( komaeda may be on his religion era, but there's something about that which makes him comfortable. he may not understand what a composer is, but he does know that in the end, back home, god was absolute hope — all talents combined into one. god's also here within yogen, younger and confused, but nothing to speak about at the moment. )

Not all of them are worth much... but it's a shame... they say god has different faces, that there's only one and we are watched by the one... but that's untrue. ( he sighs, shaking his head because when he thinks of god now, hinata's abilities have been... wiped clean. ) It does depend on who you speak with in the end.

Joshua looks almost concerned for a moment, because he is even more recently sure that his twin is a little off his rocker here. he's Perfectly Sane so he doesn't know the feeling, but he's not going to comment because he doesn't want to slow Komaeda's roll or anything.

That's why this sort of thing is so interesting, isn't it? There are some who are held to the morals and ideas of a singular god at times. It's almost as if some of them don't have free will -- but that's not surprising. People will always reach for the truth of why they exist and where the universe came from in that respect.

( to share someone like that at their prime, if only josh could see them, but all he's saw so far is... a disappointing version of them. it's wrong of komaeda to think that way, but he still yearns for that side of hinata that he no longer can be. it's difficult, he goes through a mix of emotions when it comes to him — some days he's satisfied, other days he's happy, or disappointed. he wants him to have talent again, but that's not information he can give off so easily. )

Joshua is so not used to people being like this. wanting him around. the only one who did (besides mr. h, he doesn't count), was Neku.

it's not exactly the same wording, but it's close enough. Komaeda actually wants Joshua to be here with him. even if they're both twisted and fucked up, it's almost sort of comforting.

he shows none of this on his expression, instead moving to the table and sitting on it as he looks down at Komaeda's pencil and paper. instead of showing all the turmoil he's feeling on the inside, he just puts on his classic smirk, running his hand through his hair as if nothing was wrong.]

( at hearing the blood pact, komaeda glances at the palm of his organic hand, and he remembers the last time he shared something like that. someone here almost died, and so he closes his hand, and he nods, sighing softly as if dejected. )

Everyone here won't fail to impress, but most have trouble utilizing hope, and that worries me as well...

There's no need to bleed for anyone if you run a club... how this will go, at the end of the school year... you should repeat the question to see how you helped them in their search to understand the difference between one and the other.
