ethics...club...
Who: the ethics club and whoever wants to crash their party
When: whenever in august!
What: just a mingle post for the disasters
Warnings: uhhh...........well there's a bunch of problematic people here probably, so we'll see how this goes. will update.
The "ethics" club isn't really that well furnished so far. So far, there's only a few things -- things that only Josh is able to access, as well as a dart board, a cheap (and faulty) polygraph machine, and a button maker?
Well, the other members will have to make those. But he does have a certain design for it, if someone was interested in ""helping"" him make the pins...
Otherwise, Joshua's probably usually in here, in classroom 2-D, and he won't turn anyone away. He might warn of anyone coming in of their eccentric group, but he doesn't really mind either way.
But there are papers spread around, not that he really wants to do the work of ensuring that his club stays open, but he figures there's no use in just ignoring it. So there's probably going to be some reports to go through on the papers, or something that could be defined as work.
Loosely.
There's a folder on the desk he'd moved next to the door which holds the topic of the month on it for whoever comes into the room:
good and evil: how do you spot the difference? Do those lines truly exist?
He's very interested in what people would say about it.

Um... [ They speak aloud to nobody to particular. Its a bad habit, but maybe someone will come over and explain something if they hear Crona is confused. ]
I don't really get it. Dividing everything into lines seems hard to deal with...I'd have to sort so many things, I wouldn't get any sleep. [ They tap their chin. ] Um...evil is, a sin. And good is whatever the opposite of a sin is. I don't really get either, because people scare me, but I guess thats how it is.
B. [ Crona is...weirdly good at darts, and at some point during the club meeting they'll wander over to the board and start playing. It's clear they have no idea of what the actual rules are, but they're having a good time collecting a dart and throwing it over and over again. They startle when they spot someone nearby. ]
Oh...do you want a turn? I can stop.
a
( crona attened hope class for a reason, but that's not going to stop komaeda from taking the folder as he points at the questions offered to them. it's pretty simple when komaeda looks at it as he manages to split good and bad into two separate things: hope and despair. despair can't even hold a candle to hope, but this isn't asking which side is better, it's asking how they're able to tell which one it is. )
Even though this is Ethics Club, should we begin our session of Hope Class to jog your memory?
( it HAS been awhile. )

Oh so just…hope being good right? [ Hope is the greatest good that makes other things okay. Which is probably the opposite of a sin…but sin could be inate right…? Hm. ] Waaah. I didn’t forget! Morals are hard…
[ They shake their head quickly. ] I don’t mind at all! Maybe other people would like to help out with hope?

I don't think it's so black and white, is it? What if someone else's "good" is another person's "evil"?
[just. y'know. to fuck around with Crona some more.]

Eeeehh… [ They turn to frown at Joshua ] Don’t make me confused! I can’t deal with ambiguous sounding questions like this!!
I already said I don’t get people. [ They almost mutter “stupid” under their breath but think better of it, because Joshua is nice and this is his club. ]
So if people think different things, what does that have to do with me?? They should just figure it out themselves…

He's just kind of standing there watching a few feet away, arms crossing over his chest and head slightly tilted as he watches without any particular expression on his face sans for an observant (maybe curious) demeanor.
He shakes his head and lifts up a hand when Crona mentions stopping. ]
Like I'm gonna go after someone as good as you.
[ Although... ]
Think you can hit something else though? You should try for a harder target.
dito my friend dito
[ Crona hasn't used a spear but they have had to aim their blood so they should be...okay. If they don't trip on it. They like the charm on Dito's spear a lot, though, so they'd love to borrow it sometime. ]
A harder target... Um. I guess this target is soft, should I aim at the wall? [ They don't actually wait, tossing the dart in their hand straight at the wall with zero regards for the property damage to this classroom. They fiddle with the others and give Dito and expectant look. ] Er...I guess its less fun without something to aim at...?
bestie.......

Please, keep going - I'm not very fond of sharp things like darts, anyway.
[but she knows the sound, from friends playing and then arguing over the rules. it feels like a distant life ago, even though it isn't - so it's a familiar sound, one she associates with calmer moments.]

Komaeda might be pumping out buttons or whatever when Josh approaches him, shifting his hair behind an ear as if that ever helps anything.]

Dito is watching this, tilting his head and kind of amused because Komaeda is struggling, and that's inherently great to him.
At least, until he realizes a split second too late the fridge is fucking tumbling down toward him, and Dito falls back in a scramble, ending up on the floor with his back and arms against the wall as he looks up at the fucking looming refrigerator.
He blinks for a second up at it, because he's still not used to his body being back to how it normally is again -- i.e., he can't get fatal wounds easily anymore. He's instinctively used to being squishy like when he first arrived at this place. ]
Hell--
[ He finally spits after a pause, moving one of his legs up to press his boot against the fridge, kicking against it abruptly to shift it back into place. Perhaps a little too hard, since the momentum might push it over back on top of whoever's on the other side if they don't catch it in time. ]

Wow, is... was that a lie detector?
( might not be anymore, but y'know, all those parts — they look kind of familiar. it's not important why they're familiar, but the point here is that... there's probably something resembling a frame still sitting out here, so it isn't difficult for amami to piece it together in his mind, more or less. he sounds pretty impressed when he does. )
Didn't think they'd have one of those in a high school. What are you trying to do with it?
( because right now it sure does sound, Well, )
(no subject)
[a]
Grenore-kun, are you making things difficult for yourself again?
( add knows things down to a science, and some people can debate if good and evil is part of that — it contributes to their actions, at times, but that's if he wants to study humans. komaeda remembers that the other is more fond of machines than anything else, so he picks up a few more of the pieces. )
Back home, there was someone who could have been the Ultimate Robot. ( not exactly, because he was a different title, but he did get turned into a machine. ) I thought... he was amazing, that hope could be found in machines as well... What do you think, are robots able to pinpoint the difference between good and evil?
( maybe the other will be interested from that point of view. )

Dito squints as he's messing with the machine in question, although Dito really has no idea what the machine is or what the fuck Add is talking about. His brow furrows and his eyes narrow almost instinctively, though.
He crosses his arms as he takes a step closer to the other, a little curious about what the hell he's doing. ]

[ Not the invite.........
Honestly, Dito's probably half here because Zero is also here, and he has a tendency to drift wherever Zero goes. Also he is kind of interested in Joshua, if only because the other humored him with his goreposting, even if he doesn't trust the dude as far as he can throw him.
In any case, there are two points of interest that attract Dito.
One being the messy pile of papers spread about everywhere -- it makes him wrinkle his nose. It's not his problem, but it does irritate him slightly. He doesn't give a shit, but he can't help thinking about how it would never look like this if it were his paperwork, akin to what he did for Five.
Not that he's ever doing that shit again. So he scoffs, pulling out a nearby chair to sit in unceremoniously before tossing both of his boots up on the table, crossing his legs slightly as he throws his hands behind his head. ]
This place is a fuckin' mess.
[ You're not helping anything, Dito... ]
𝟬𝟮. )
[ This doubles as the wildcard option.
But also Dito can be found hovering around the dart board, experimentally pulling out one of the darts from said board and poking it against the tip of his finger, as if to test how sharp it is.
It would be so fun to do something else with them, he almost considers stealing a few here. Piercing things is fun, after all. ]
1.
[which is Helena's true barometer for things, though it being difficult to find anything is a bit trying. the stranger's voice sounds suitably annoyed, but she's in a decent mood, and a little mess won't alter that. instead she's still checking out the room, wondering what exactly an ethics club in a high school is supposed to be doing.]

B. [The miscellaneous option! Shin's been trying his very best to seem like an unobtrusive piece of furniture because everyone in this club is deeply concerning and makes him extremely aware of his inevitable mortality (not you Helena, you're fine why are you hereeee) but don't let him get away with it. Corner him about the good/evil question he's been ignoring. Rope him into something. It's very hard to say no to this group.]

( he grabs at the other's scarf, pulling a little more so that he can make sense of his muttering — he's gotten used to this, catching the end of his complaint. funny enough, you think he'd be free from komaeda's annoyances by actually doing his job for him, but he's not, and komaeda sets his chin on top of the male's head, eyes peering down to watch the buttons being made. )
