...The present is all about laying foundations to provide for and assist those that will come after US. The future doesn't solely belong to those of us living NOW. ( it's for other people, people they'll never meet. ) How long do you suppose it'd take THOUGH?

( if he recalls correctly, he had a lot of people who listened to him on the field, but komaeda never met them so he wouldn't know exactly. )

Orion, cute, and also easy. He holds his hands out palms up and imagines it, and—at this point, it's not too difficult for him to call to the magic he's been working with. He'd been complimented by Clamor and Noah both, which is nice; calling it, asking for it to respond to him and figuring out how best to manifest it, had been the hardest part for him. Magic control is now the hardest part, but he's working on it.

And as he focuses, his hands glow; from them arise sparkling lights, first just barely hovering over his fingertips before they move higher and start to align into a shape that'll become familiar to her as certain points become brighter and others dim. It's a little hard to see them in the light though, huh?

...So he makes the constellation walk away from them, sword resting on its shoulder as it moves—this is a little much for him, notable in the way it quivers as if about to give the further it gets, but he puts a a little more of himself into it and manages to knock the lights off.

Much better. Better still as he calls it back over in a jumble of stars and rearranges them again into Orion, no longer flickering, and Natsume no longer tense or trembling from exertion.

It's not so bright that both of them can be lit by it, but the magician between the two of them is at least, and he smiles as he glances across the room; he won't hope she's as enchanted as her brother had been, but he thinks it might be nice if she were a little impressed, at least. )

It's incredible what you can learn here when you beLIEVE.

( And have a good teacher, and magic that can be taught, and spend a lot of time learning it, and tire yourself out to impress cute girls who don't hate you. )

You're the Lumberjack, Rokkun, the protagonist of our story, you should fill in the blanks.

( because why wouldn't he when he has the chance to create whatever appeals to him? he's the one who has to draw it, and the fact that he vetoed mrs. and mr. spore in such a manner is just the start. )

He thinks of his dad and... the guy's a dick, but he wouldn't call the man hopeless. He always felt like the opposite: he knew exactly what he was doing and was doing what he loved and seemed... happy. Which makes everything so much worse. ]

...No. Hope is special, and no contract could give a person that properly. Hope is by the person, not because it's forced.

( even if komaeda says it like a force, like he wants to drown everyone in it, that's not how it works. the hope that he loves is more romantic, those that can't fin strength from it will use it accordingly, and create more hope along the way. it's a bright light that covers everyone in its warmth, and komaeda hugs himself in thought as he thinks about it. hope can get under one's skin, become that feeling that tingles beneath the flesh and keeps them warm for a moment, and disappears, but it's always there whether they feel it or not. )

...I just wanted to say it to see how you'd take it. If it was something that could happen because of a contract, to learn the extent of it...

He wanted to say something about needing Komaeda, being needy, nothing quite works out trying to phrase the thought so he doesn't and just takes Komaeda's hand to pull himself up, leaning his weight on his good leg and pushing off on his knee with his other hand. Can't wait until he's morphined up and can sit and stand without hurting. ]

( us moving it to like the last week of october.

komaeda doesn't know what's going on in rokkun's head, so maybe that's for the best but as soon as the other is up, he looks him over one good time. he keeps his hold onto the male's hand, not moving because he wants to know what rokkun chooses to do — his reactions are always recorded in komaeda's book (in his head), and so even after something like this... he wonders if the other will let his hand go, or if he'll just walk without saying anything. everything feels so sensitive, and what are the chances something bad may happen, they've been fine right here so far.
