The wolf left from the pack that it originated from, most likely used to being alone, or did its family die... you can never tell with animals like them.

( his eyes remain on the spear, and he uses his organic hand to rub along the length of it, brushing his finger over the point. ) Hm... but if it's hidden, maybe it wanted to stalk Lumberjack Rokuro, he does have a lot of meat on his bones.

It reminds her a bit of that virtual reality program, the meteor shower just for her because he couldn't stomach seeing it with her, and how here he suffers too just to try to bring a smile to her face.

I have a few other TRICKS, but they're a little more dangerous; even this one can hurt you if you get in its WAY. ( ... ) I wanted to learn magic to help THOUGH, not HARM.

I figured this was a nicer way of showing you it rather than cutting myself just to heal it UP, and making you worry I was going inSANE.

Maybe, with the right contract, but it wouldn't be real.

[ There's probably ways to make another person feel hopeful, the same way morphine gives him euphoria and makes him feel invincible if he can make it out of bed. But it's not real, it doesn't last. ]

You wouldn't accept that sort of hope, so if that's all you're looking for in a contract, don't bother making one.
