[ Their soft mochi cheeks... Hard not to smile when he does that, and tells them he loves them, and that they're good enough how they are. It's warm.

( his cancer moon is acting up, let him go!! can't believe he's gunna be dragging them.

( he'll give them a minute to get their straw sorted, and then give his hand again. that should hold them over for now. in the meantime, amami is going to think through some recipes he knows... for all the ridiculous things he's probably adding to the grocery lists though, it's probably dependent on how successful his requests end up.

[ Nothing overwhelming, just enough to be noticeable. Something easy to eat, like the apple juice that is very quickly emptied once they start, holding onto Amami's hand until they turn the corner and pass by the store and keep walking, and they look over at him. ]

[after the days of no smiles, of disinterest and disassociating when the world darkens, seeing keigo now makes it feel so special. a real star in the pitch of night, sparkling and shining, a glittering memory subaru'll hold close like all the others. it's a relief, a joy, and his ears warm as much as his heart squeezes in delight.]

[ Honestly, their first thought is the tin can-dle that they throw a glance at to see if something changed with it, before looking back at Subaru. ]

Like I said, you can't get by on just apple juice, yeah? You need a break for lunch.

( don't think they can make lunch in the art room, and from the way they don't seem to be headed towards the stairs either, there's really only one kitchen left. some fresh air would do them good too, he thinks; he's not sure how much they're actually leaving their shop in this past couple days, no matter how justified they might be in that. )

[nothing has changed, except they definitely need to put something better under it because that tin can-dle is really gonna be its name with how the wax is no doubt gonna pool and seal the bottom to the paper.]

[ They could get by on just apple juice. It's a fruit, and it can be lunch. But they follow along anyways, sticking close but not too anxiously— as long as it's daytime, it's okay, and as long as they're with Amami, it's okay. There are a lot of people around, but as long as they stick close, it's okay.

Can you say what it is? Since it came true.

[ Like how you're not supposed to say birthday wishes out loud or else they won't come true, but after the fact it's fair game. ]

Like "thank you" or "goodbye"? You don't have anyone you can think of that goes beyond a word? Besides Hiroppi.

Yup! You're gonna think it's not worth wasting a wish on though~.

[as said by someone who's probably been told that before, that he shouldn't place such mundane and normal occurrences in the hands of the stars. they're better suited for goals to keep in mind, things you wanna keep looking forward to in the future, wishes that might fade with time and replaced with something else.]

Whenever I go up there, I always wish to see my friends smile! And really recently, I've been wishing to see you smile. [because he loves it, because he loves keigo.] So you made my wish come true!

Me? I'm not a picky eater, so whatever we make for you, I'll just have some of that.

( going to so many places, it'd be rude to turn away whatever's offered to you. if this man can eat fried worms, he can eat whatever kamo-kun wants without complaint. let him swing their arms a little — you know, the way that kamo-kun would do for them before. )

[ Wishes are for grand, impossible dreams, ones so far away you can't help but ask the stars to lend you a little help. Seeing one's friends smile is too simple a wish... but their own smile really did feel like a grand, impossible dream when they wake up frazzled and go through the day miserable and do their best to appear simply mopey around the people who care. ]
