September mini-event pt 2

It's early Friday morning, the silence lifted but still a while before npc students will start coming to school. The door to the student store remains locked, despite always being propped open by a doorstop first thing in the morning, like clockwork. In the pool building, the lights automatically switch on for the day, illuminating the water below.

A large black shape floats in the middle of the pool, air trapped in the fabric wrapped and tangled around it.

Standing off to the side, Subaru's in a better position to notice two things:

a smear of blood nearer the door end of the hallway, and something glinting on the other side near the window

gonna let shin handle the shiny object if only bc his boy has seen enough shocking things today and follow the blood himself. does it look fresh, and does it lead anywhere

The smear is very short, less than a foot across, and doesn't seem to lead anywhere. There are no splatters nor smears anywhere else, just this one wide line of blood a good way away from the chalk circle.

this is weird. but okay. he's gonna note this down... anything else from this new spot?
