( on the desk is assorted colored paper with stringy fabric laid everywhere, a few bottles of glue, a couple of scissors, curling ribbons, hanging swirl decorations, crepe streamer, iridescent foil door curtain laying all over the table, just a messy table that has everything that they'd need. he stands behind it, looking at them both with a concerned look on his face before he glances away, focusing his attention on something else that doesn't seem like a slap in the face. )

I'm thinkin' green and blue, probably with a couple yellow too, but mostly those two. We're gonna get a theme going in our room, so I want to try and build on that for Kamo-kun. Actually, this is perfect timing. Where'd you get an idea like this anyway?

( he watches how subaru leads amami to a table, and there's a slight frown on his face, a brief crack in his warm smile as he finds it a difficult sight to see. now he wants to touch amami, but wouldn't help him before during that problem that spiked within the meeting? what's the different from touching him then and touching him now... has he grown closer, become drunk off the warmth that an ultimate radiates? covered by the width of his umbrella that it blocks out everything else around him?

( like, why does he not want to sit next to them? makes him feel like some kind of teen bully in a movie. like, this is the cool kids table, only orange knights are allowed to sit here, and is there even a reason? well, of course there is — but the most obvious reason really doesn't leave him with any choice but to agree with subaru, sliding off of the desk he's made himself comfortable on so that he can wander his way over to where these two are chatting.

he's lucky, because subaru coming up on komaeda's right means amami can come up on his left. it leaves them both on his good side for hearing, and he'll reach out to lightly touch his hand against the small of komaeda's back, leaning forward a bit to offer a reassuring smile. let him just... try to herd komaeda back towards the table that's all covered in their supplies. )

You've got more set up over here than we can use by ourselves anyway, so you might as well join in.

( actually, he was doing fine at the table by himself because here he could think about things, and maybe nit be so obvious about his concerns and worries, his awe and amazement, his jealousy that's deeply rooted in his soul when he sees another person with an ultimate, and he didn't give permission. he bites the inside of his cheek as he presses fingers against the lantern as he tries to think of more jellyfish facts, and it's when subaru makes his way over that komaeda can agree about the texture — that's until he feels subaru's grasp around his own, bony fingers — close, close enough to a skeleton. )

...I already know how to make it. ( his eyes drop down to the hand being held, and just by acknowledging it by sight that he seems to freeze up. he hasn't yet taken his hand away, and he's grooming his thoughts for a better reply as to why he's fine here, and then double trouble makes his way on komaeda's left, a hand on the small of his back, and it's in that moment that komaeda's hand is progressively getting sweaty. too much body stimulation and he yanks his hand from subaru, and he takes a step forward from amami. )

( that stutter was to catch his breath, and the way his eyes widen as he looks at them both. what's this? a silent understanding between them both? oh, it makes komaeda wary, but with a practiced smile, and a hand on his hip as he tries to not garner the attention of the students in here — ) I accounted that you'd both probably want to make many, considering Akehoshi-kun's unhealthy obssession with suncatchers, and the fact you spoke highly of the beach... ( what a dismal situation to be caught in, and here he was trying to share his newfound knowledge. ) ...Do you both understand?

( clearing his throat, he speaks more confidently as he raises a brow at them both. )

[komaeda can have his hand back, it's fine, though subaru puffs his cheeks a bit. much like their stall bonding earlier the month he won't take another step forward, clasping his hands in front of him instead as he watches komaeda with interest... it's definitely new in a way, mostly because subaru doesn't pay attention in bigger crowds to the other's reactions to stuff. but this is smaller group so of course he can.]

It's not unhealthy~, they're pretty so I wanna collect them!

[and they feel special too... because they are special... subaru can't wait to see what he gets next time he comes around and asks for one. amami can handle the other part right, subaru doesn't have a good enough reason aka one komaeda will take]

( yes, future tense, because it's still going to happen. anyway... he'll cross his arms lightly over his chest, exhale a bit of a sigh. )

( doesn't look happy about getting it, but the point remains; in his experience, pushing komaeda past this point isn't all that successful, and it's generally easier to give it a few minutes to soft reset his chances and approach from a different angle. he does look pretty troubled as the glances back over to the table set up for the crafts though... )

( he's out of it, or maybe that's how it seems as he stares at the two with a dead, empty look in his eyes while they finish the entirety of komaeda's response. did they really do that? take one part and another finish it off? the more he thinks about it, the more he starts to apply every worst scenario in his mind — how close are they?

( he lifts his head up from the table to look towards amami first, taking in his appearance, putting some things together, and then he focuses on subaru. )

[subaru puffs his cheeks at that, because he was gonna anyway and now he doesn't want to, but
