BACKDATED Sept... 24th? | Magic Lessons, Ring of Light, etc

[Lucifer wakes up that morning with a ring on his finger, a familiar one that he hasn't seen in a couple thousand years; there's the familiar thrum of magic from it, an old comfort, and he can feel it enhancing his already-insane magical abilities so much that he feels like he might explode.

But this ring, he decides, will not be his — for thousands of years it never was anyway — and so whenever Sidney comes back to their dorm room that day, Lucifer will approach him with a little smile.]

Sidney. I have something for you. Give me your hand?

[They've already practiced a little bit of magic here and there, but this should help further the lessons along.]

[Late at night — not late enough for silence to blanket the world, but late enough for it to be considered suspicious for someone to be out of bed — Lucifer comes back to their dorm room, wings tucked against his back and gloved hand clutched over a deep, wide gash from the top of his shoulder to his chest. He's trying and perhaps failing to be quiet; every so often a grunt of pain escapes him, or a sharp intake of air breaks the night's stillness.

In any other circumstance, he might revert back to human form, but he doesn't think he can right now. The agony from the wound is too much for him to bear, and he can't exactly focus on maintaining that false form right now.

Currently he's trying his damndest to get his torn shirt off so that he can deal with this injury, and also trying not to wake Sidney up... please do not perceive him thank you.]

( it's a quiet moment between them. sitting side by side, sidney leaning on lucifer with a book in hand- sometimes he gets help turning a page, sometimes he just sets it down to move it himself- and two cups of coffee. but then sidney pauses, and... almost laughs? )

I had a thought- I'm not a man of faith myself, but I know some of the kids will want to celebrate it- Christmas, I mean. So tell me, how offended would you be if I decided to show Clamor and Noah at least the festive aspect?

( it's asked with humor, but surely lucifer can tell it's a sincere question- if lucifer shows any discomfort whatsoever, he'll nix the whole idea. but given gatcha otome-style fanservice-- )
