(mingle) cat herding, round two
( on february 2, transfer students will find that there are notes hung up around the dormitory with doctor's scrawl handwriting that a few people might recognize scribbled across it. it reads: )
TRANSFER MEETING
february 2, 5:00 p.m.
dorm common room
( the early-arrivers will find that amami is already set up in the common room, making himself comfortable on the far side of one of the couches with a sketchbook, but beyond a wave and a smile he won't offer much to speak of. it's only once it looks like there's a good handful of people that he'll glance around, grimace a bit, and speak up. )
So... I'm sure you guys already know why we're here, right?
( rest in piss, hiro. legend almost took two transfer students with him on his way. )
I know I might not be the person anyone wants to hear this from, but I figure everyone's had some time to gather evidence and any witnesses we might've had by now. I don't like the idea of this continuing more than anyone else, and if we want to keep it from happening again, it's probably best if we compile what we know.
( and unfortunately what he knows is nothing, because he was busy getting stabbed, so the floor is officially open. )
(ICly, this meeting begins on February 1. However, to keep us from trapping ourselves in another time cube, when things start to slow down, Amami will pitch that they regroup in a couple days. The details don't matter so much, but you can assume they'll come back for more discussion intermittently if anything new comes to light before Disney. This doesn't all have to be in one day! Feel free to PM/ping me anywhere if you'd like me to add any other helpful links. )

[ yup, that's you, dumbass with too many friends. ]
Still, with everything we've come up with, and how much evidence we've gotten...
It's so weird that for all of our fingerprints, it's only just now paying off.
no subject
Oh...you mean Sou's new trick...?
[ She thinks about it for a second, then shakes her head. ]
Sou doesn't kill people. [ Not without having eleborate, personality warping meltdowns about it. If he'd really killed Hiro and Maya he'd probably be way more energetic right now. Burning every bridge...looks at him and Helena...well burning more bridges then usual! ] But it is weird...do you think someone planted that evidence because we've been taking so long?
no subject
[ Just stands to reason, of course. ]
Most people don't kill people. It doesn't mean they wouldn't if it came down to it.
Oh, but would it be him? Only a dummy would put themselves out in the spotlight like that so often if they killed someone.
no subject
you get it, chase. anyway--]
... If someone wanted to control the flow of conversation, they'd take any chance they could -- even if it meant putting themselves in the spotlight. I don't think we should rule out anyone.

[ Counting out on her fingers. So there was the first main game, abandoning her to Russian roulette, the sacrifice card, and the second trial...does trying to get her to fight with Keiji count? She's not going to count that. ]
He gets pretty shouty and starts lying a lot when he's trying to pull of a big plan. Even his eyes get weird...just accept it when I say this absolutely isn't how he'd act if he was trying to hide something!
[ She's an expert! ]
But your other point, Bonnie-chan! So this note wasn't to mislead us, but to guide us. A wrong note...at the right time...so we'd think about this again?
[ Who would do that...Looks at Komeada.. ]
no subject
( why is she looking at him. )
no subject
[ Let her pull out her notebook real quick, come on over here. ]
no subject
( he'll follow to look at her notebook? what is going on, are they about to play mash? )
no subject
[ She scribbles something for a second, before holding it out in front of her. Two names in Sara's normal neat handwriting.
1). SUBARU AKEHOSHI
2). KOUJI
She'll hand it out to Komeada then, like c'mon. catch!]
Which one goes first?
no subject
Do you want my handwriting so you can use it for future crimes, if you want... I'll help you commit murder!
( sparkle, sparkle! )
no subject
[ His sparkles...such overwhelming purity. Too bad she's not going to murder anyone, ever! ]
But c'mon, there are so many notes right now. Kouji, Subaru...lots of people turning up places they can't be. Lots of handwriting that doesn't match up with reality.
[ Taps the notebook. Once! Twice! ]
What comes first, Komeada? Do we write a note from Kouji to throw the group off the scent. Or do we write one from Subaru, so people come back together?
no subject
( how can he abide by such strict rules when all he can do is murder. he'll play nice, sitting down as he looks at the note before him. )
What places are they turning up that they shouldn't? Let's start there.
( between kouji and subaru, did they really show up in places that they couldn't be? )
Food for thought: what mileage does one get out of using someone who isn't here to protect themselves?
no subject
[ Two different notes, two different names, two different locations. Perfect handwriting from people who either couldn't be there, or vehemently claim they weren't. ]
The investigation can't go forward. We're stalled out against Kouji's absence, and Subaru's word. The thing is, we can't get anything more out of Kouji Seki, his name and handwriting is a dead end. That's why his note was easier to find, right?
...Meanwhile, Subaru...was someone Hiro could have trusted. He's a plausable suspect for us...a plausible name for our mystery note writer to use...or an admirable bit of evidence someone planted to make this puzzle harder!
no subject
( making sure he came along, contemplating whether they should show up, things like that. well, that's how komaeda would think. )
For now, we'll think of Seki-kun and Akehoshi-kun respectively as the suspects, along with Shirogane-kun.
( he'll tap the pen against the notebook. )
If you could put the two notes in order, how would you align them? Then play the scenario out in your head.
no subject
[ That's just logical. Hiro wouldn't be dumb enough to follow a note from someone who's vanished for months out of the blue. ]
Subaru was acting a little suspicious in the first trial, so if Hiro saw a note from him, he'd be willing to believe. He follows it...and gets locked in the President's office. Our killer didn't even need to get their hands dirty...in fact...I think in all the murders they haven't used strength much. Gas and freezing, something indirect...only Maya being strung up implies they're strong.
[ Anyway...she's getting off topic. ]
Then secondly, they wrote the note from Kouji, and left it where we would find it. Kouji's handwriting...they could have copied from his locker...because Sou and Nanami saw something was taken from it.
A lot of preparation went into this...

( a small shout out to god first as komaeda looks over the information that he's given, placing it through a filter in his head, and he snaps his fingers after a few seconds. to have a note that directly sends him to the principal's office would make sense, but it's just the same as what he told subaru: )
Let's say the first note was insurance. Think of it as: point a, to point b, to point c. That way, you can supervise to make sure your victim is alone —
( that's why he finds that there's two notes, now for the important part of the conversation since they can get off topic. he doesn't think sara's wrong, but she'll walk him through this, he does believe that. )
I want to make a correction, Arisu-kun would trust Seki-kun. When he stabbed the latter last time, he did it because Seki-kun said it would save everyone... ( though it was brief, he recalls that the other said something about missing him as well, but would kouji really go as far as to murder maya, and then hiro? it seems unrealistic. ) I've even heard from someone that Seki-kun always has a back-up plan, but would you really call this entire set-up as one? I doubt he can give you all this much growth and promise through three murders.

[ Wow. This Hiyori sure has guts, but it sounds like he sucks at murder. Not that this one isn't easy! ]
Why, of course! It got us looking at Mr. Subaru again, so maybe we'd have to look at who's around him that could pull this off.
...and, maybe cause trouble.
[ ok but she'd be disappointed if it were komaeda tho...... ]
no subject
[ Yeah...shocking huh. Great thing she hasn't tried. ]
Look around...we should do that! Focus on who could do this!
no subject
I'll trust you to know then, Sara, but I'm a little surprised to hear that about Hiyori-kun of all people at the same time.
[once... twice... four...?]
no subject
He's calmed down a lot.

You're right as rain, Miss Kaede! After all, in this case we're not talking about strength, just who could've led poor Hiro astray.
If someone had the evidence to show Hiro, that'd set him up to be picked off pretty easy.
