( on february 2, transfer students will find that there are notes hung up around the dormitory with doctor's scrawl handwriting that a few people might recognize scribbled across it. it reads: )

TRANSFER MEETING
february 2, 5:00 p.m.
dorm common room

( the early-arrivers will find that amami is already set up in the common room, making himself comfortable on the far side of one of the couches with a sketchbook, but beyond a wave and a smile he won't offer much to speak of. it's only once it looks like there's a good handful of people that he'll glance around, grimace a bit, and speak up. )

So... I'm sure you guys already know why we're here, right?

( rest in piss, hiro. legend almost took two transfer students with him on his way. )

I know I might not be the person anyone wants to hear this from, but I figure everyone's had some time to gather evidence and any witnesses we might've had by now. I don't like the idea of this continuing more than anyone else, and if we want to keep it from happening again, it's probably best if we compile what we know.

( and unfortunately what he knows is nothing, because he was busy getting stabbed, so the floor is officially open. )

(ICly, this meeting begins on February 1. However, to keep us from trapping ourselves in another time cube, when things start to slow down, Amami will pitch that they regroup in a couple days. The details don't matter so much, but you can assume they'll come back for more discussion intermittently if anything new comes to light before Disney. This doesn't all have to be in one day! It'd be dumb to trick people with fingerprints. I mean, anybody who touched it would leave them behind, so you'd be all over it, too. [she's gonna give nanami a little hat, she thinks.]

Yep, sounds like a very good idea.

That makes sense, so it's not my doing. If someone was thorough, they'd wear gloves, and the janitor closet is free to use, so it makes this even more tedious.

Everyone involved in this is dumb, though, so we should keep that in mind... Who even wanted to check for fingerprints in the first place? We're not cops. This isn't like TV. We probably contaminated a whole bunch of stuff.

No! There's hope in this, you can't see it because you haven't seen the growth that everyone has went through... it was such a shame you disappeared at such an important time.

( big sigh! )

There's no need to be cops, but we have a few detectives in training... we also have Ultimates!

[taps pencil against chin] If an Ultimate killed somebody, what would you let us do about it?

Maybe he went and killed some classmates for the best again, then. 'Cause it kinda seems like your Ultimates are all ultimately bad people.

Nope, we're not in a killing game, so he has no reason to do that...

( they're not at home, duh stephanie!! he does pause at the statement of his ultimates.

You can blame me, I'm bad for them. I started the first murder, but I'd do it again... and again... and again...

Yeah, I know. I'm really hoping you didn't do this one, though. I'd be pretty sad to have to kill you.

[holds up paper. it's a summer wedding.]

Maybe we should just punish everybody who left fingerprints. It'd be the safest way.

Would I die if I did this murder? Punishments are interesting because your best bet would be just killing me now.

( that way they can prevent any future murders, they can keep ishimaru safe. )

Then you'd kill indiscriminately, and I can't allow you to do that.

( he pokes the drawing, but this time he won't smudge anything. )

Hiro died cold and alone and scared. Again. Anybody involved should at least get cold and alone and scared. It's only fair.

[a shrug] It's only three. And one of them had to have done it, right? So, it's really only two.

[commences]

That's no good, you can punish those with fingerprints all because they were doing their job.

( or a self-assigned role, if they can't figure out who did it, and the culprit runs free, then they do. though komaeda will be disappointed if they allow their hope to waver all because of this. they're getting stronger at every turn, each hurdle they're up against they find a way to jump over it. )

Arisu-kun was going to kill that person, it could have been self-defense. ...His mistake was going alone.

If it was self-defense, they wouldn't be such a frame-y jerk about it. I mean, I'd still be really mad, because Hiro is my friend and I miss him, but I wouldn't want to kill them over it or anything. I'd get it. Stuff happens sometimes.

Killing all three means we definitely get the right guy. It's the only way, unless whoever really did it says something.

[commences]

You're kind, "stuff happens sometimes". If only we had more people with that attitude present.

( you know, then maybe there wouldn't be any fights, and everyone could work together. )

So you want to kill... Hinata-kun, Hiyori-kun, and Akehoshi-kun, because their fingerprints are the only one's left?

Yep! And then we can all go do fun stuff. Well, except them, 'cause they'll be dead, but the rest of us will have fun.
