( on february 2, transfer students will find that there are notes hung up around the dormitory with doctor's scrawl handwriting that a few people might recognize scribbled across it. it reads: )

TRANSFER MEETING
february 2, 5:00 p.m.
dorm common room

( the early-arrivers will find that amami is already set up in the common room, making himself comfortable on the far side of one of the couches with a sketchbook, but beyond a wave and a smile he won't offer much to speak of. it's only once it looks like there's a good handful of people that he'll glance around, grimace a bit, and speak up. )

So... I'm sure you guys already know why we're here, right?

( rest in piss, hiro. legend almost took two transfer students with him on his way. )

I know I might not be the person anyone wants to hear this from, but I figure everyone's had some time to gather evidence and any witnesses we might've had by now. I don't like the idea of this continuing more than anyone else, and if we want to keep it from happening again, it's probably best if we compile what we know.

( and unfortunately what he knows is nothing, because he was busy getting stabbed, so the floor is officially open. )

(ICly, this meeting begins on February 1. However, to keep us from trapping ourselves in another time cube, when things start to slow down, Amami will pitch that they regroup in a couple days. The details don't matter so much, but you can assume they'll come back for more discussion intermittently if anything new comes to light before Disney. This doesn't all have to be in one day! Goodness, if Miss President's note was forged... whoever did it must be pretty good. After all, didn't one of you show it to her brother to confirm it was actually her handwriting?

That kind of thing absolutely takes a lot of patience and talent. Not bad!

As for the the reason she stayed... if it was a request from a friend, maybe she'd agree to it?

She'd stay after school sometimes for Student Council WORK, for her club activiTIES, or for Hiro-kun himSELF. He visits the counselor every so often; I've caught the little wolf waiting for him to get out beFORE.

She needed to have a good reason--or a reason she thought was good enough--to stay at school; she wasn't the type of person who liked wasting TIME. ( ... ) That's why she had maybe three friends, to be gracious about IT.

Well, based on everything, it's not for Hiro. Those on the student council would have a good measurement on how late that sort of work runs generally, right...? And if I'm remembering correctly, Subaru shares a club with her, right? Would there have been anything needed to run late that day, I wonder...

[Time to eliminate possibilities and cut down time!]

But if it's not any of those, then... I'd hazard a guess it might be a threat, if it wasn't something coming from someone she trusted...

Meetings don't usually run longer than two hours. She kept things moving pretty well, actually.

That said, we typically only meet on Mondays and Fridays. The 11th into the 12th would've been Tuesday and Wednesday.

That's good to know, at least. I'd ask more about the details... but I'll leave it for another time, since it's not relevant to this case.

But then that makes you wonder even more, doesn't it? What made her stay, really.

There are a few things I can think of. Most of it's baseless speculation, but... if it wasn't at someone else's request, there could be the option of her having been forced to stay.

Although, forcing President Arisu to do anything would've taken some doing.

Mm~, it depends? Macchi complained about stuff, but she'd usually go with whatever people asked of her -- whether it was to play piano for me, or to have a private conversation somewhere. But if it was pointless, she'd usually cut it short and leave.

...refresh my memory. Did we ever establish a time frame for her death? If someone were able to convince her to hang back for a conversation, there's a chance she may have been killed around the same time she would've went home in the first place.

[Avoiding Subaru's gaze, what with this now having been established to be either the 13th or the 15th and thereby either way both post-Disney and Shin having done a little more investigation, he does pipe up.]

Ah, it was sometime between 10:50 and 12:50pm, if the body itself is to be believed... It'd have to have been a pretty long conversation, ahaha.

With Shin completely distracted speaking to this group of losers, it gives her the opportunity to slip right in. One aspect of being a hunter's just to keep yourself unnoticed, even in a room like this!

Which is great, considering she's about to wrap her arms around Shin's waist from behind and lift him off of the floor, keeping her balance pretty damn well and rocking him just a bit. ]

[It's well known or perhaps not that Shin can easily be snuck up on if he's fully focused on something... as a hunter's quarry he stands no chance whatsoever.]

[He's been gaining a little weight back with better eating but he's still almost more bird than man; up he goes, flailing a little for balance that isn't really up to him as his beanie falls off and the contents of his zipped up pockets make various noises sliding around. It takes a second or two in his extreme startlement to register what exactly's taking place beyond 'something is grabbing and lifting me'.]

[He doesn't carry yen in Yogen, at least on his person... it's all in merits on his PDA because part of the school or not it at least needs his fingerprint to get in. Walking to work in the shady part of town at night will create some lines of thinking.]

[It doesn't hurt... okay maybe he's a little winded from being squeezed. But there's been some hefty damage to his pride and dignity. He doesn't stumble as he's half-dropped and let go, but his arms briefly do go out to keep his balance.]

[They had that whole body search a while back, remember? Since I'm deciding just now one of his pockets was unzipped because he stores his hand there, there's no yen but there is now Maya's house keys, a lighter, a PDA (also Maya's), a painted rock and a gun magazine clattered on the floor, and Shin's knife was sort of starting to come out with the shaking but got stuck. He's hurriedly trying to pick them back up and stuff them all back in and meets Subaru just as he claims the beanie.]

Which is mostly to say that she had gotten a decent enough look at what was grabbed. those keys, the PDA, and-- well, the gun magazine must've been from what he was talking about earlier, with someone shooting Hiro? Mildly suspicious, but not altogether related to the task at hand, really.

It's hard for her to figure if any of these are worth mentioning, but. On the other hand. ]

...gosh, nothing too bad here. Although, I'm curious as to how long you'll be hanging onto so many keys.

Oh, well... I mean, after a point it was just me and Macchi, 'cause of finals [subaru lookin his clubmates in the stasis eyes] and all that, so it got put on hiatus until the next year. Macchi still went to play piano every now and then, 'cause I asked her to so I could sing... But it wasn't like she was the president or anything like that, just the pianist, so there was no real reason to keep it going. Before you ask too, I didn't ask her that day.

Mmm. If that's the case, then that narrows down the amount of people she'd potentially stay for. Anyone else, it would've had to be a really good idea or reason.

The problem being, it sounds like Miss President would have had to stick around for six or so hours-- she'd have been locked in her little space for that long. She'd have been pretty bored.
