[While he's guarding over some bodies... Hey he has questions. Alternatively might be starting a fight.]
What is it that drives humans? Or, perhaps more aptly, non-demons? Mortals? Whatever you slot yourselves under, what makes you do the things you do?
Why do you unrelentingly get into strife with one another — incriminating murderers, only to turn around and commit a murder yourself moments later and being shocked when others despise you, rinse and repeat ad infinitum until everyone's hands have been bloodied? Is it vengeance? Survival?
In the end, why do you forgive the people who you spend hours condemning? Are they absolved of sin because you say they are? Are you simply tired of fighting?
Demons and mankind are quite similar. I believe we're all guilty of the same things — all of you are so far from Heaven's Gates that it's laughable, same as myself. The events of the last month have me thinking about all of that, and...
Those of you who think you're going to Heaven at the end of your life, assuming here is not your final destination: Why is that?
Just some questions. Have a nice night.

If I may ask: Why are you driven by combat in particular?

[Y’know. No biggie.]
Well, that and being so close to the border between life and death is pretty much the only way to feel alive, y’know?
Hearts beat at their fastest when someone else is trying to snuff them out.

Is conquering the world something akin to godhood for you, or a dictatorship? I'm genuinely curious.

Ruling has no real appeal to me, it's more or less just about proving myself as the strongest. Once I've done so, I'll just have to move on to the next goal that I can find to interest me. Other worlds... All of reality, perhaps. I've no doubt that someday I can conquer them all.

r...religious blasphemy warning???
[Fuck you, God.]
It's true that, at least in the Devildom, necromantic magics are rather common. I think you might not come back as yourself, though. You might look a bit ghastly and rotted.
attack and dethrone god
It might make me look more impressive, who knows? Honestly I haven't given dying much thought, which I guess is... Ironic, given the circumstances. I always just sort of thought that if I really needed to I could get my hands on a Gnosis and become immortal that way. A lot easier than necromancy.
It also comes with less zombification, which is always good for the mind and body.

A gnosis... do you care to explain what that is? The term is unfamiliar to me. But, if it prevents zombification, all the better for your universal conquest, I suppose. Stay limber.

Plan Z would have probably just been to attack the Hydro archon and take her gnosis for myself, reach immortality... That sort of thing. There are other ways, but that sounds like the easiest. It's also quick and straight to the point.

I see. What an interesting system where you come from. I almost wish it were that easy for my world. The Celestial Realm is particularly nitpicky on who travels through the ranks and when — and there's paperwork to fill out besides. I cannot imagine having to do paperwork to become God Himself, personally.
[Like, if his Father ever retired... who's going to do all the paperwork for that. Insane.]
That's plan Z, however. You're telling me you have twenty-five other plans in place?

Not really! I sort of just tend to make things up as I go along. Improvising is more fun, after all. I essentially just mean that if there were no other options and I needed immortality fast, that probably would have been the method I stuck with.

I see, however. I suppose it makes sense. My siblings are much more improvisational than I am. Satan in particular tends to plan meticulously... Mammon hasn't come up with a plan a day in his life unless it was to make money, and even then, he messes it up in the end anyway.
[Insults Mammon (affectionate) on the purgatory internet]

How many siblings do you have, by the way? I know you mentioned the war that sparked from your sister’s passing, but I don’t think I’ve actually asked for a head count. It seems like both of us are from rather big families, though. ^^

In order of age, they're Mammon, Leviathan, Asmodeus, Beelzebub & Belphegor who are twins, Lilith, and then Satan. Satan didn't actually get to know his elder sister as she had passed before he was created.
Big families are common when your background is extremely religious. :) At least, that's how it is where I hail from.

I don't think religion has anything to do with my case, it's more-so that the outskirts of Snezhnaya are difficult to survive in. More bodies in your corner means more chances of survival, or at least that's my assumption. My parents could have simply wanted a big family.

I would think it would've been the opposite. Is food not a struggle to find where you come from? I've never lived somewhere completely inhospitable before — well, by my standards, anyway — so I have to wonder if having more mouths to feed is beneficial or not.
That aside, how old is the youngest brother?
