♡ SPRING BREAK.

[ After what's happened in the beginning of May, now that it's spring break, Inaba opts to use this time to start doing things. With the shadow students gone, she can finally relax on her own - even if she doesn't exactly expect to be alone for long - and while this would be the best time to do investigation work, she opts to think about the future instead of the immediate present.

People may find her in classroom 3-B on her own for a good chunk of the day--she's pushed several of the desks together to give her much more ample space. She has her laptop open as well as several handwritten notebooks by her side.

And of course, given that she'll be here basically a lot on most days, people may see her here at any time of the day. Mornings? Sure. Afternoons? Yeah. Evenings? Also yes.

Does she even sleep? Who the hell knows.

There's just the loud clattering of fingers on a keyboard and occasionally the sound of her scritching on her various notebooks; for those who dare to sneak a peek at what exactly she's doing, they'll notice that each notebook seems to consist of a different subject matter. It's meticulously organized by subject and school year and there's even a notebook meant for general school things as well.

As for her laptop, while she does have one notepad tab open for the same exact notes so that she has it in two different places, she also has a secondary tab open with the title of Student Council Application Plans. The page is currently blank otherwise.

If she's not trying to pull all-nighters with her crazy meticulous notetaking, Inaba can alternatively be found in the library, taking photos from some of the books in there.

But she might also be found at the new cafeteria--which honestly, yeah, this is a shocker to her. But this means that she can borrow the kitchen to which Inaba finds herself trying to make food. She's not really good at it, however, as she keeps on looking between what they've got and the notes on her phone. She's also definitely keeping stock of what the kitchen has to offer; given that there's slim pickings, she needs to make sure she knows the numbers for rationing. ]

[it would be remiss of subaru not to bug inaba every now and then, her reactions are always fun despite his complaints that she's generally got a stick up her ass, and it's really no surprise to him that she's in class even on their week off.

Hell no. I'm not looking to usurp anyone, and I would rather not have the biggest target on my back.

Aw~, but I think you'd make a good one! You and Macchi were pretty alike, y'know. Both sticklers, but not bad to talk to.

[it's just that he and maya had a shared devotion to music. subaru'll take a proper seat, chair turned around so he can rest his arms on it.]

I don't know if I should be taking that as a compliment or an insult...

[ She sighs. ]

This tab is, yeah. It's empty right now though since I haven't exactly brainstormed on what it is I want to do, yet. Joining the student council ended up being kind of a... well. Not exactly spur of the moment, but -- It isn't usually my kind of thing. Everything else is something I've been working on for a while now. A long project, if you will.

If you need votes, then you've gotta show what you can offer to the people. Promises are all well and good, but words are just words. Throw a party every week to destress the school and have it be a thing clubs can get in on. Wouldn't hurt with gettin' to know everyone that's gonna be wanting your favor either~.

We don't have the resources to constantly throw parties every week.

However. It is possible to have a compromise. If I want to become memorable, I'd have to do it...

[ She mulls this over in her head, looking thoughtful. ]

... three days before the voting period. Have it be open to everyone and hear out what people would want out of the student council. Besides, I don't just have empty promises. That's why I've been working on all of these.

[ She gestures at the notebooks. ]

Of course, I know it's a lot of reading, which is why I plan on making alternate versions of them that would be easier on the eyes -- that anyone would be able to parse through, no matter what their level is.

[ Try as he might, Miyuki's just never gotten used to the school after midnight. Obviously he could make the most of his time by actually sleeping for once, but given how high he has to keep his guard up and the fact that he wants to keep his mind occupied most of the time, that sure as shit isn't happening. So he's forcing himself to mostly deal with it.

Which... is tough. Silence is a pain-- if he wasn't mistaken, the human mind can't withstand it for too long or he'll be driven insane, so he naturally makes sure to keep some form of stimulus in his pocket. In this case, a piece of paper crumbled up.

The sad thing is, he knows someone else would probably be awake too... which is why he's even here in the first place. Granted, he isn't really sure if Inaba would be in 3-B today, considering that she seems like the type to not sleep in the same place twice. But it's worth a look? ]

NOT GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP......

[ To be honest, she usually doesn't sleep in 3-B. It's something about the classroom that bothers her, a mystery that she still hasn't solved.

And yet, she's here, clattering away at her keyboard.

She's really focused and into it, but she's also keeping an eye on the time so that she doesn't push herself too much.

After all... if she does that, then there'd be no point in her efforts. But she hasn't seen Miyuki yet, so-- that could either be a good or a bad thing. ]

[ Of course, she's hard at work. Even if she was adamantly keeping track of the time, finding a place to stop wasn't as easy, was it?

...Nah, he shouldn't pry too much in that respect.

He hasn't been noticed yet, which, he can't decide if it's a good or bad thing. He runs the risk of startling her if he just taps her on the shoulder, or interrupts her in any kind of way. So he decides to start out by just taking a seat a desk away. He scribbles in a notebook, and with small movements, tries to tap the edge of the desk in her peripheral vision. When he has her attention, he places the notebook back on the desk. ]

"When's the last time you took a break?"

[ A timer's a little more than useless when you can't hear it, right? ]

[ Her lips move on instinct as to talk but then she glances at the time on her monitor and then at the words on the paper that he's written.

Oh, right.

It's this late already isn't it?

She stretches a bit, saves her files and closes the laptop before writing a reply in her own notes and showing it: ]

Guess I lost track of time.

Thought so. Are you at a good place to stop for the night? You really should get some rest.

[ SOMEONE has to say it. Naturally. ]

I just saved my files.

Probably should find somewhere else to sleep, though. This classroom still makes me uncomfortable, with the spider webs and all that.

Kitchen

[ Joe's curiosity once again gets the better of him especially when he smells something cooking. He pokes his head in first to be sure it's okay before he fully steps in the kitchen. He's kinda surprised to see who's at the stove but quickly gives her a friendly wave. ]

Oh, hey Inaba! Whatcha makin', huh?

[ He may unsubtly be trying to take a peek... ]

Trying to make something basic and cooking salmon -- although I might make some onigiri alongside it. Since that doesn't use up too many ingredients. Need to take advantage of the new kitchen, you know?

Is... salmon easy? It seems hard to me.

[ Joe doesn't know anything about cooking whatsoever. Speaking of that- ]

Need help with anything? I'm no expert but I'm sure I can help in some way!

The recipe that I'm using said 'simple', so it better be!

[ If it's not, she's going to be really mad. Extremely so. ]

Can you help me find some stuff? I need to see if we have the sauces--soy sauce, mirin, some oil...?

[ Joe makes a quiet note of that. But at her request, he gives a quick nod. ]

Yeah I can definitely handle that! Give me some time, okay?

[ He grins before ducking into the pantry. His eyes skim the shelves, trying hard to actually read labels instead of looking over them. One of the first things he spots thankfully is a large bottle of soy sauce he grabs.

Joe sets it down on the counter next to her with a big smile. ]

Good news! Soy sauce is a go!

Nice.

[ Inaba gives a rather confident thumbs up, grinning proudly. ]

Honestly good to know that we have a whole bottle, really. Soy sauce is pretty versatile.

Yeah!! Tastes great with most things!!

[ He gives a thumbs up before ducking back into the pantry.

If he were a smart person, he'd write down what he finds. Instead, he starts pulling interesting things off the shelves and setting them aside. A few kind of oils to cook with... some shelf safe tofu... carefully stored miso paste... ]

Wow... we can make so much with all this! This is great!

That is a lot... it'd be pretty good -- oh, wait, probably be keeping stock of this.

[ She takes out her phone and starts typing really quickly on what they have. ]

Tofu would be good if we have the ingredients for miso, although I guess on its own it also works. We can have it...

[ She flips through some of the recipes and then finds something. ]
