You're really happy just being someone's TOOL.

( he smiles, not even correcting natsume because he's not wrong, but it is true that komaeda's more focused on the others here than himself. if it's for hope, he'll die, if it's for hope, he'll do everything that he must to see them prevail. he doesn't assist hope that's low as despair, or the kind that's given up — like natsume, his is stronger than others, so komaeda would do as much as he can for it. )
Isn't that why you play nice, Sakasaki-kun? To be wanted by others, to bless them with your hope for the right price? It's a give and take relationship, which is right, because you can't just have a hopeful future for free... you must act to deserve.

Second or ground FLOOR?
no subject
( you can tell him, he's learning himself because he's not goo with talking with others either. sighs, he'll have to get better at this. at natsume's question, and he answers like it's obvious. )
Ground floor.
( because the lower they go, the more audible the sound of rain will be, so come on natsume, don't be slow... your date isn't here forever. )
Perfect, right? You can buy yourself a snack if you're hungry.
no subject
I might just buy a drink to throw in your face if the date starts to TANK. ( it isn't a waste of merit points if he has merit points to spare And it feels satisfying enough. ) As the one being ASKED, I'm allowed that MUCH.
no subject
( he'll do what he can, because by the time they make it to the ground floor, natsume will see there's water seeping from under the stairwell's doors. not only that, it seems to be a pinkish color to indicate that something isn't right, but the sound of "rain" is louder now. komaeda reaches out, pushing the door open, but it doesn't budge. he looks towards the other, chuckling sheepishly as if this isn't part of his plan. )
A little help?
no subject
as long as it gets taken care of before tomorrow, it's probably fine. natsume stares at the pinkish water and steps into it, joining komaeda by the door to help push it. may as well get this over with and accept his hubris for what it is. )
no subject
there might be a dead body laying on the ground that he could accidentally trip over and fall into the water if he's not careful!
aside from that, all the sprinklers have gone off, and the pink-tinged water rains down like an actual shower. komaeda laughs softly, holding out his arms like he's offering the setting over to natsume for him to have. )
Just for you, Sakasaki-kun! I'm surprised that it happened myself...
no subject
there's no bringing back the dead, though. there's no chance of it.
so he steps over the body and into the sprinkler shower, making a face as he does so. ugh... ugh? )
And how, exactly, did it just hapPEN.
( because yes, by his tone, he sounds like he doesn't believe it """""""""happened""""""""" at all. )
no subject
( he didn't which is the truth, he only watched it happened, and then decided it could work in his favor. despite the disgusting water is raining down filling the halls, it'll probably leak out from the exit if they're lucky. it doesn't matter as he looks towards natsume with a gentle smile despite the dead body close to them — )
The how doesn't matter at all anyway, this is what you asked for... so there's no reason to understand it.
( he's pulling out his pda, checking how many merit points he has as he points in the direction of the vending machines. is natsume sure he's not hungry? )
no subject
You're too clever for how stupid and ugly you ARE. Your hair looks like it was scalped off a recently dug-up CORPSE, and yet you've managed to genie your way into a DATE.
( food..... god he wants nothing to do with this, but he said a date! he did! so they're on one! absolutely horrendous!! )
Just get me some green tea and some shokupan if they have IT.
no subject
No one's really complimented my look in such detail!
( he laughs, not too bothered by the insults since natsume has this constant need to destroy him. as they make their way towards the vending machine which komaeda makes sure they walk on the side so neither of them are drenched. )
It makes me wonder why you'd go out your way! I guess I should say something nice back... I think the way you furrow your brows when irritated is an iconic look for you.
( :) once there, komaeda searches for what natsume wanted, but he sees that it's all sold out, so he gets him something close to his desires. something green and something bread. he gets him some watered down version of this and a plastic wrapped chip buddy. )
no subject
no subject
( he'll take the chip buddy though he........ guesses........................ )
no subject
( luckily it hasn't been opened??? open it and then threw it at him, bitch! so he's going to pick it up off the floor, and attempt to open it just in case natsume's maiden hands cant. )
Especially when this is a date for you...
( the water continues to rain down, and around them there's a few indents here and there from where ball monokuma ran into things. aside from that, the body down the hall is sliding along the water, and it's mouth parts almost like it's gasping for breath, but you know... can they even see that? some weird shit is going on over there, but this ain't about the corpse, this is about natsume. )
no subject
If I thought you'd want to fulfill that particular WISH, I wouldn't have put it up at ALL. ( natsume looks past him, taking in the scene... except for the body, he's going to ignore that.
...he's begrudgingly curious, so: ) Why did you take IT?
no subject
Because you went out of your way to grant one of my wishes, then failed the other.
( he's a masochist who likes verbal abuse, natsume already fulfilled that one as soon as he spoke to komaeda. )
You look like the type of person who doesn't handle rejection well, so indulging you this way opens the possibility of bossing me around without the commitment. ...You'll break up with me before the date is over, so we should enjoy this while it lasts.
( what do you think? :) )
no subject
( just. putting that out there, taking the can of juice and ... not immediately throwing it back on his date, so that's worth something, maybe. natsume purses his lips, idly thumbing the can.
he'd only meant to grant one anyway, but it hadn't even been the one he sought, because he hadn't fulfilled the requirements. some magician of happiness he is - you can't please everyone either, though. )
I'll accept your reasoning, I GUESS. ( :/ ) There aren't many date activities we can do inSIDE, particularly considering your culinary skills are laCKING.
no subject
So you must know others aside from cooking, right?
( komaeda knows that natsume is skilled in his craft when it comes to making bombs and the like, and he still finds that sort of thing useful. bomb the yogenment, he thinks. he won't press for it just yet, instead, he'll think of something else related to the date that they can do. he gave him rain — the cool, pink tinge that's better than the summer heat is a nice way to relax. )
We can go back and forth on ideas... I'm thinking a funeral would be interesting.
( "interesting." yeah, he does, besides they already have a body here that can be used. )
Then we can debate on how they died, what do you think?
no subject
No THANKS. I'd rather we bury it or someTHING. ( before someone finds it? great date activities: dig a grave ) It's disrespectful to the dead to talk so frivolousLY... They can't pass on peacefully while disturbed like this eiTHER.
no subject
( they could cut it up to put in the sinks, or they could flush the remaining parts. or stuff it in the stuco office so that it rots, and well... maya will to suffer. )
Hm... what about the killing game not too long ago... do you believe they passed on peacefully?
no subject
The courtYARD... and no, I don't think SO. ( a brief look up at the sprinklers - do those shut off on their own. he doesn't know. dammit. ) People who die suddenLY, by murder or otherWISE, tend to have regrets — that's what keeps them tied to this mortal PLANE.
no subject
I don't have regrets.
( that's what he says on the matter before staring at his prosthetic arm — he's done things he shouldn't have like watch others die, how children slaughtered their own parents and other adults, how he fueled war in a city just to see the outcome of hope and despair. )
Those who regret upon their death are weak, perhaps lonely... but they're the perfect stepping stones for the strongest beings to walk the earth.
( ... )
Have you tried escaping the school through the window, we can hoist it out!
no subject
he doesn't know where to begin with— any of that, but at least the very last part is something he can respond to, so he choose to ignore the rest (temporary) and focus on that. )
I haven't tried escaPING, considering there are a limited number of windows I'm able to open and get the screens up ON, not to mention how many of those actually face the courtYARD... ( which is like one, because floorplans are hard, i understand ori's struggle ) But I do know an opening implies our passage THROUGH. I'm just not accustomed to climBING, and I'm not risking my body just for a little jaunt around the SCHOOL.
( he didn't say no to hoist the corpse out the window thing though. )
no subject
( he jokes, shaking his head as he glances in the direction of the body as the water pools towards it, past it by slipping underneath the doors. it's not like he hasn't dragged a body before, so he takes a step towards the direction while staying on the side so he doesn't get drenched. )
Dito-kun wanted to throw me out once, so maybe if I'm thrown out again, the screen will open.
( come on natsume, lead the way, and komaeda will handle the dirty work. )
