Mmm... okay.

[ It doesn't seem equal— material objects will never be worth as much as experiences— but the thing that makes them unreasonably happy is actually the fact that Subaru remembered the word triboluminescence. ]

What do you think about wind chimes? I was thinking about trying some of those for when it gets cold— they'll sound super pretty in the winter when the air is still and sound carries much further than it does in the summer! Since the sun sets earlier too, if we hang them outside, we'll be able to hear them even when it's dark.

In Lanling, there were was a vendor who had a lot of 'em for sale... They reminded me of you, to the point I wanted to get some as souvenirs, so I can definitely say that I love them a lot! I think they're a great idea, they'll sound so nice at night~. No matter how dark it is, they'll always be there to guide us right back to each other!

What sorta chimes would you do? Wooden ones? They have a pleasant knocking sound~, but metal ones are the ones that sound like bells... Oh, but I like glass the best, they're like stars.

Metal for the winter, because the chiming can be heard the clearest. Colored glass is better for spring and summer when the skies are clear and sunny and the color will stand out the most then. Wood will have to wait until summer too, since they might get soggy when it's raining or snowing. People will just have to buy one of each.

[... he says that but he's a little nervous, lifting their face with his hand and kissing them. it's not like the usual brief, light ones; it's hesitant and a little restrained, like he doesn't want to be too much (and he knows he's too much sometimes, he does,) but very warm in the cold night.]

[ It really is warm. From the back of their neck to the tips of their ears, spreading all the way down to their toes with the flutter in their chest and weakness in their fingers that meant to pull Subaru closer but instead curl against his back. Lightheaded, breathless, a little scared to open their eyes and find it all just a dream.

They like kisses, they decide as they shift so they're lying on top of Subaru instead of beside him, so they can more properly return that kiss once they catch their breath. It's kind of like a concentrated hug, except you're thinking a thousand things and nothing at all, both at once. ]

[the initiative is a surprise but definitely not unwelcome, heart leaping into his throat and then swallowed right back down as he grips the back of keigo's jacket -- his jacket, if that's what they have on tonight -- and keeps them there, eager to kiss back because

surprise!!! he has decided he likes kisses too, they're very head full head empty and subaru finds he doesn't even mind the control of the situation being out of his favor, because that's actually quite important to him, just because... well, because he's decided he likes being kissed. doesn't mind being the kisser but definitely likes following.

so how's keigo feel about making out because subaru isn't intending to let them go anytime soon]

[ They kiss like they have no idea what they're doing and they don't, forgetting to breathe and holding their breath on top of that so if they look red and feel lightheaded it's because they're this close to passing out, they're never read a manual on kissing ]

[wonderfully subaru hasn't either and double wonderful is how he can just sort of pick keigo off himself, lifting them a bit so he can catch some air, flushed and warm and antsy with the same energy he always feels around them, agitated like a hive of bees as they swarm something new.

it's not an angry energy by far, but boy if he doesn't have a lot of it.

.......... ah he doesn't know what to say. let him sit up and he'll kiss keigo again, a little headier and eager compared to the first one he did; he's not afraid of burning them anymore, but how is he supposed to learn the rhythm of breathing when he feels so breathless just going into it in the first place???]
