... That reminds me, um... To be honest, I've got no idea what happened, Kazu-chan, or why you're not fit to be a teacher anymore. You seem really kind and wise to me, I feel like I could go to you about anything.

I had unforgivably harmed a number of my students. In good conscience, I could not be in their presence after that.

Huh... You're better than some of the teachers at my old school then, 'cause they turned a blind eye to a lot of stuff that hurt the students they taught and even praised the people who were pretty much the cause of it~.

It's in the past, but none of 'em have really owned up to it the way you have, so you're pretty much the blueprint of what a good teacher oughta be~.

[sagami and kunugi are good too... they didn't have a hand in it, though, so they're exempt; purely from a "teachers who are at fault for something" kazuki is the best]

Makes him think about the teachers here, how much of a "blind eye" they're turning to what goes on in this school, despite having no active hand in all that happens. Just math exams, maybe. ]

You are kind to say so, lad, but that does not excuse what I have done. The school has grown much since then, asides. We have many more teachers now, who can provide the students with what they need to grow.

It doesn't! But it's also okay now, because you're helping them in a different way -- you're helping the ones who ask for it, like me and Na... the others!

I think you oughta be able to forgive yourself a little, Kazu-chan. Growth only starts once you've let yourself heal and stuff like that... and honestly, I don't really wanna listen to a bunch of adults that just let the things they do slide by again.

[he'll do it on certain things for class when he bothers to care, but... subaru can't say that he'd listen to them outside it.]
