Truthfully, I do not know. I have lived, and sinned, enough that if my life must be extinguished then I will not fight it. At the same time, I wish to watch over my students as long as I am able to... and when the time comes that I am no longer able to, I expect to become naught but the essence of the forest from which I was originally given form.

I was just thinkING, if you wanted to move ON, I'd like to help YOU. You've helped me quite a lot with my thoughts--it would be only fair for me to assist you in reTURN. Dead or ghost or otherWISE, no one deserves to stay trapped in a plane of existence for too LONG.

shuts it and thinks about it, really thinks about it. It's difficult, killing people you like; but it wouldn't be the first time. He pushes himself to standing, brushing dirt off of his clothes as he thinks about what it would entail—the steeling of his heart, the ability to fight a spirit, the silence of the courtyard in the aftermath.

It would be better for everybody involved to ask somebody willing, who would not hesitate, like that Hanako kid who he suspects would have ended his life those few months ago if there had not been others with him. He would have been dead, everybody would be safe from him, it should have happened.

Still, there's that part of him that wants to spend his final moments with the students he cherishes, rather than being struck down by fear and anger. A Korosensei death would be the ideal, actually. ]

I appreciate that greatly, lad. But I hope also that it does not come to that, and I will be here to know you have found peace and acceptance, and have moved on.

( Natsume relaxes a little, when no definitive date is set, when he isn't asked to do anything right this moment, when the implication is that despite his willingness there's hope that he will be long, long gone from this school by the time Kazuki has to leave.

That's lonely in its own way, but it's one he prefers. Even if he can—even if he would, if asked—he would rather not.

He's found he isn't that fond of killing, no matter what his biting threats might say. )

I have not. This tree is one I planted with the very first class I taught. ...You are thinking of planting more trees in hopes of spreading the burden of the flowers?

Truthfully, I do not know. It would take many many years for cuttings to grow to maturity, however.
