...Thank YOU. ( ...though
speaking of people who are, technically, perhaps: ) Kazuki-san, do you... would you consider yourself at the end of your LIFE?
no subject
Truthfully, I do not know. I have lived, and sinned, enough that if my life must be extinguished then I will not fight it. At the same time, I wish to watch over my students as long as I am able to... and when the time comes that I am no longer able to, I expect to become naught but the essence of the forest from which I was originally given form.

I was just thinkING, if you wanted to move ON, I'd like to help YOU. You've helped me quite a lot with my thoughts--it would be only fair for me to assist you in reTURN. Dead or ghost or otherWISE, no one deserves to stay trapped in a plane of existence for too LONG.

[ ... ]
But when the time comes, lad, would you be capable of killing me?
no subject
shuts it and thinks about it, really thinks about it. It's difficult, killing people you like; but it wouldn't be the first time. He pushes himself to standing, brushing dirt off of his clothes as he thinks about what it would entail—the steeling of his heart, the ability to fight a spirit, the silence of the courtyard in the aftermath.
The loneliness. )
...If you ask me TO. ( It's hard for him to say, but he looks up at Kazuki and says it anyway; it sounds difficult for him to say, too, the words hesitantly falling from his lips. ) I wouldn't refuse YOU.
no subject
Still, there's that part of him that wants to spend his final moments with the students he cherishes, rather than being struck down by fear and anger. A Korosensei death would be the ideal, actually. ]
I appreciate that greatly, lad. But I hope also that it does not come to that, and I will be here to know you have found peace and acceptance, and have moved on.
no subject
That's lonely in its own way, but it's one he prefers. Even if he can—even if he would, if asked—he would rather not.
He's found he isn't that fond of killing, no matter what his biting threats might say. )
I appreciate THAT. ( More than the other knows, maybe. ) ...So what do you do with the pruNINGS?
( Back to the question he tried to swerve with, )
no subject
[ And somehow they find their way into the shopkeep's hands, who passes them off in exchange for big bucks ]
no subject
Ah. ( That's nice, he supposes. Hmm... ) You can grow more wisteria trees from their cuttings, corRECT? I remember reading about it ONCE.
( glad he's a gardenia member... he can just know gardening stuff now... me sitting on google at all times )
Have you ever planted any more of THESE?
no subject
I have not. This tree is one I planted with the very first class I taught. ...You are thinking of planting more trees in hopes of spreading the burden of the flowers?
no subject
And— ... that is a good idea, not exactly what he had in mind (he didn't really have any idea in mind, though; he was just curious), but he's looking at the flowers thoughtfully. )
...Would it HELP? ( The tree does seem awfully heavy, so— )
no subject
Truthfully, I do not know. It would take many many years for cuttings to grow to maturity, however.
no subject
It might be worth a shot anyWAY, provided it won't worsen the state of things furTHER.
( like things i won't say because i don't need a CERTAIN SOMEONE getting more ideas )
...The present is all about laying foundations to provide for and assist those that will come after US. The future doesn't solely belong to those of us living NOW. ( it's for other people, people they'll never meet. ) How long do you suppose it'd take THOUGH?
no subject
[ According to Google, anyways. Twenty years. ]
no subject
...A pity we can't do anything for it sooner than THAT.
no subject
Being here and doing what we can is enough, lad. There is no helping things out of our control.
no subject
It's easy enough to say and want to beLIEVE, but harder to put it into pracTICE.
( Even when he works on being more patient... sucks to be a teenager in the instant gratification era. )
Though I suppose that only goes for those of us with shorter lifeSPANS.
no subject
...I suppose it is. But nobody will fault what efforts you make, even if it is not your full effort. I am sure those in the tree will thank you for whatever can be done, not to be ungrateful.
no subject
Even if they don't rememBER. ( Who remembers their tree life........... can you imagine. ) ...I'll assist however I can THEN, for as long as I CAN.
( And in return Kazuki has to promise to spare him when it comes to eating— )
no subject
And I you, lad, for as long as I can.
