You know when I heard, I didn't think you were capable of that...

( really, he was shocked, just the idea of hiro having that emotional capacity to go that far, but komaeda-arata was already aware of the little plan between them. he's going to pick up one of the bag of bugles that he brought, and slowly open it to hold out to hiro despite he already has a bag open. )

I'm sure your sister is pretty good at rejecting people, she denies me all the time! Ah, but that's because I'm usually nosing around in her business.

[ You don't need emotions to stab somebody. Sometimes, you need just the opposite.

It doesn't matter, though, what Hiro's reason is, or that he reaches for the other bag of bugles even though he's still on his first.

You understand! She's very distant, so I wanted to at least try!

( excited like a dog, he claps his hands together once hiro takes the bugles, and there's a few drinks nearby if his throat gets dry. )

Arisu-kun... has your sister dreamed of being the student council president?

( if he can't get in her business through her... but he's genuinely curious because maya interests him, and the way hiro thinks is also interesting even though he's trying to understand him little by little. ) Are you excited to have a sister in power... it sounds nice.

[ He can only stare blankly at him, because does he think Maya talks about her hopes and aspirations? More like she decided she was the best person for the job and then stepped in at the first opportunity.

But for Hiro, it doesn't matter, and he shrugs at having a sister in power. In his eyes, she always was, nothing's changed. ]

This is our first year meeting one another, so learning about each other wouldn't be too bad.

[ Hiro sort of opens his arms out, like he's saying they've been here a while. ]

( like... the whole world... is how komaeda sees that. he leans forward, and gives him a hug...

is that what that meant. )

[adsum]

[ Hiro just sits there like the world's worst hugger-backer, just freezes immediately and stares out into the distance until this stops. This is me and hugs. ]

( empty... hollow... komaeda-arata can't live like this.

yeah. it was a nice sentiment, but... yeah

Hiro eats another chip. I'm sorry threads with Hiro is just like this, he's just here for the food. ]

( im crying it's ok, maya enabled komaeda-arata to pursue his route with hiro, he has to see it through.

he looks at his hand... a hug lost in the void. )

( maybe hiro know after maya called her weak and had it coming for her death. )

[ Give it to npckun, they'll never let a hug go to waste

I had to go find that thread and damn, Maya really said those exact words, wow. With that opinion, along with the fact that Maya doesn't consider most people friends, Hiro shakes his head, and holds his hand flat, palm down, in front of his chest.

In his opinion, Maya's opinion of the president was neutral. She spoke harshly of her to Komaeda, but that's just Maya. ]

[commences]

( i know, that's why they tried to steal his arm...

maya is savage as fuck ori, i was crying, i was like damn what aiko do (die), but that was komaeda-arata's impression of maya's thoughts on aiko, so it seems like they didn't get along. he stares at the way hiro places his palm to his chest, and he nods in understanding. )

What did you think of her? The old student council president...

( he wants hiro's thoughts, and then he thinks about how maya gave him a bento for being good to hiro, and he wonders if this counts. )

[ lowers his hand just a little ]

[commences]

Ouch... didn't think of her at all, huh?

( runs in the family... he sees. )

[ Hiro shakes his head because no... She was the president but she wasn't Maya, so why should he care? ]

[commences]

( aw... that's so cute, komaeda-arata isn't thinking that, but i sure am. )

Then who do you like?

[adsum]

[ holds up and wiggles two fingers, his universal sign for his twin, he likes one person and one person on—-
okay, maybe two or three people. But that's it. ]

[commences]

That's not a lot, are they your friends or enemies?

( they say keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but isn't that sort if validation what people find nice when they know they're friends? not in komaeda-arata's case, but... whoever hiro cares for. )

[adsum]

[ He makes to hold up one finger, because who likes their enemies? But then he thinks about Kouji and sort holds up like... one and a half fingers, one finger and one bent one ]

[commences]

( i hate that kouji is an enemy, but that seems right when he watches how many fingers go up and partially down. )

There's some people I think you'd get along with... you don't have to talk to them, but I'm sure they can be useful by getting you snacks and having small talk... So remember these names, alright?

( first and foremost. ) Fujioka-kun.

[ Kouji is something

It's all Hiro can do but stare blankly at Komaeda and nod his head, because sure he can memorize the names. He knows of Fujioka, but doubts that guy would buy him snacks unless Hiro asked for them directly. That's more Arata's thing, with his stockpile of points and the easy way he seems to make smalltalk with his kohai, but not much more than that. ]

And then there's Crona-san.

( that one's pretty easy, actually, and he wonders if hiro ecen knows who crona is. )

The skittish student that sleeps under tables, you must have seen them!

[adsum]

[ ...

points at himself, holds one hand flat palm face down and points at the top of his hand with his other finger: he has not seen Crona because Hiro is the student that sleeps with his head on the table all through class. They're not even in the same grade? ]

( what does same grade have to do with this... it's free stuff. okay, so he doesn't have a positive response for crona, so maybe there's someone else he can say.
