[ The canvas leans forward until it's resting against Komaeda with nothing holding it up, so that he has no other choice but to pick it up or have it fall on the ground. She's sure he can find a place something like this will brighten up the room, where it can be hung and appreciated by many different people. ]

[commences]

( he's grabbing it now, holding it up as he looks down at it. an action is difficult to parse, he thinks, his fingers curling tighter as he lifts it up into his grasp.

he reads it as if she doesn't want it here anymore, but he could also leave the room with it. he doesn't care for aiko that much, and so her things are meaningless to him, too.

...

the painting is only a thought because he remembered it as a... final item left behind for them to look at. )

Hm...

( he looks back to see if any of the students are watching. does anybody care if he just holds this? so that haruka can pass him another hint. )

[adsum]

[ There are, but nobody makes a move or says anything to stop him, whether it's because they just want Komaeda out as soon as possible, or because Aiko was not a student who universally made friends enough for anybody else to hold her work in sentimental value. The one person might have been Chiaki, as a fellow artist, but she's not here.

The hem of his shirt tugs forward. He's spared icy hands, but he has to be led around like this instead. ]

[commences]

( she's not here or will ever remember, so there's that. he holds onto it, watching as his shirt is tugged by nothing, but he knows that she's there. also, wish someone looked or said something at komaeda so he could glare at them because he doesn't care. mind your business talentless scums.

he's going to follow after haruka, but he's going to turn towards the exit of the room rather than finding where to set it up here considering they'll just put it back once he leaves. or maybe he should break one of their arms if they try any funny business. )

We can take it to the library.

( said aloud, his words said towards the ground of where he's looking, yes students, please think komaeda's insane. )

[adsum]

[ They already do.

That insistent tug urges Komaeda forward down the hall, down the stairs, makes a left instead of a right at the ground floor and then disappears altogether, leaving him in front of the door to the courtyard. ]

[commences]

( he follows accordingly, all the way down these twists and turns until they're at the door, with the painting still in his grasp, he'll reach out with his organic hand — pushing the door open so that she can walk out first if she's still next to him, and then he'll follow right after. )

( he looks around, then down to his side. )

Why here?

[adsum]

[ Because... because...

Because why? There's no answer, no indication that she's nearby. No cold touch, no tugging fabric. ]

[commences]

( where did she go?

excuse me, ma'am?

he'll take a few steps forward, and then stop, but he guesses he should walk it over to the wisteria? which he'll do, and once he's close enough that he can set it on the ground, he'll pull out the hacking gun to flash it around in search for her.

hmm!! )

[adsum]

[ She's... not here! Nowhere near the tree, nowhere on the grounds, but if he points the gun towards the library window he might see a little ghost girl poking her head just above the windowsill and making shooing motions at him.

A painting's supposed to be hung up where people will enjoy it. So go do that. ]

[commences]

( shooing, but not come here, oh my god she wants him to hang it on the tree? he looks up at the branches, seeing the petals and searching for the newfound blooms — he understand how this works, and so he wants to hang it on the branch where saihara is.

he did solve her case, and he thinks that he should be able to see the painting while he waits.

...need rope. )

I need rope, go retrieve that for me!

[adsum]

[ Haruka lowers her hands and looks a little disappointed at him. ]

[commences]

( what does this mean...

alright, what about... )

...The dormitory?

[adsum]

[ Komaeda's at the tree and Haruka is inside and she can't hear him.

She makes the shooing motions again. ]

[commences]

( he'll put away the hacking gun so that he can pick up the painting properly again, and if she keeps shooing him then this isn't the spot either, so he'll begin walking to the dormitory with it? he blinks confused as he does it though, but if he makes it to the dormitory successfully, he'll probably hang it up in the middle of the hall where the other paintings are located.

a shame she isn't here to see it. :( )
