( oh, 48 minute hug, that works. but hm... a glance out of the corner of his eye, and softly— )

Kamo-kun, we're gonna miss the sunrise...

( weren't they just looking forward to this!? )

[commences]

Oh... the sunrise?

( he's going to try and tickle npckun's sides to try and get them to let go, sometimes you must be evil... )

Did you want to watch with them, Rokkun? It'd be nice, I'm sure.

The sun rises every day.

[ But it's not every day that they get everybody there with them, all at once in the same place. Rokkun looks like he doesn't even want to breathe the same air as Amami, pressing his face against the top of npckun's head instead.

The tickling does get them to squirm and let go, though, attaching themselves to their brother's side, away from Komaeda's hands.

Sunrises really aren't all that impressive. There's this very specific shade of blue that they wait for, dusty with hints of purple, and then all too quickly it becomes day and it's warm and bright and they feel like they can breathe again. ]

And we'll be here every day too.

( that doesn't make it any less worth the time — neither the sunrise, nor their company.

but his smile is warm and fond as he leans back, letting them enjoy their brother's company in the meantime. though, a moment later, he does seem to consider what he said. looks a little sheepish about it. )

Ah, well — Arata-kun, I don't think he usually comes by on Sundays, but maybe you can convince him to drop by now and then.

[commences]

( once they're out of his reach, komaeda will take his hands back because npckun is no fun! what's wrong with tickling, but he'll accept it, and instead sit down properly and look off to the side.

he'll dig into his pockets to pull out his hope fragments because that's important to hold up to the sky to see how it shines because of the sunrise, and it sparkles like the sea. next, he takes out his pocket tissue to hold to his cheek next, but... he notices dried blood on it which causes him to stop everything.

he's blocking out all sound for the moment, focused on it, and it only takes a moment to think of how this could have happened... where... and he looks at rokkun, but since this is npckun's moment komaeda will NOT ruin it, he willnotruinithewillnotruinithewillnotruinit.

so he settles his organic hand on the rock pavement, and drags his nail-less fingers against the ground like he wants them to bleed... sometimes pain makes you hold back, you know? )

[ I had to pull up the thread to see why Rokkun was bleeding in the first place and he'd cut his thumb on that hope fragment which is actually also going to be bloody when Komaeda holds it up for all to see.

Rokkun picks up Komaeda's hand before he scrapes his fingers to a stump, stop that. ]

You can find me in the art club room after classes on school days, Kogamo. I won't be around as much the month after next, though.

[ This second part he says a little louder, meant for both npckun and Komaeda to hear, and Amami can eavesdrop if he has to. Maybe he can get surgery in November and I don't have to play him for a month or two ]

( how you will be escaping the horny teenage boy with destructive impulses one way or another. which is fine, really, but amami still looks pretty curious about that, because he absolutely assumed that second part was intended for him as well. why wouldn't it be? except he doesn't have the context for it, so it begs the natural question: )

You have plans, Arata-kun?

( he's ignoring komaeda waving his bloody everything around for now. rokkun's got that covered, probably, from the looks of things. )

[commences]

( komaeda's actually upset! which this was meant to be something nice... it's like his hope is covered by rokkun's blood now... and that sends a shiver down his spine. now there's blood on all his things (especially the pocket tissue saihara gave him?!!?!?!? HE DIES NEXT MONTH!!! AAAAAAAAAAAA) so he snatches his hand away from rokkun as he looks at amami instead.

hmph! )

( frown, frown. )

[ Why is Amami speaking to him /: ]

...Yes.

[ ...

npckun looks up at him because ?? ??? what happened to happy family bonding? Rokkun wouldn't have elaborated otherwise ]

There's a metal rod in my leg I'm going to get removed, so I'll be out for a while.

[sisters]

Ahh, gotcha. ( he was there for the initial injury so, yeah, he gets it. )

Speedy recovery and all that. Hopefully you shouldn't be out too long, if all goes well.

( maybe rokkun should be the one writing letters for kamo-kun while he's away. could set akki up as their delivery boy. amami trails off here, because he's really thinking about it. at the least, they can send some get well gifts to rokkun, right? )

[commences]

( his entire attention is on amami right now, turned in his direction so no one can see his own face. their exchange makes komaeda's eyes widen for a moment until his expression softens when he hears the reason. he's getting that looked at? he knows he can't frown about it, they already had a conversation where hope is born from despair, and situations like that apply.

...

that he shouldn't feel responsible, and so he won't, but komaeda does what komaeda desires.

it's for the moment though, because his brain takes a minute to buffer so that it understands that despite he's going in for that, if it's a month or so... that's a good thing, they'll fix him, help him. anyway, he can't talk when an ultimate is talking so he just wheezes a little, happily. )
