✽ Silence lifts at six in the morning, and there is still quite a bit of time before classes start. Early risers who decide to return to school from the dorms cross the courtyard and open the double doors and—- something cold and wet drips down onto their head: old blood from the torso of a student(?) bound by rope and strung up above the doors to the courtyard, body burned black and cut in half at the waist.
✽ The air is heavy, and the entire school smells of blood.

Action: He. won't want to deal with the body specifically. but he's here to be dripped on by popular "PLEASE DO IT" in discord, he's an early riser with a spot of breakfast in hand so like, what's the scene.

actually he'd probably at least look for a way to get the body down for other people to deal with but if that's best left to body people don't mind that

Action: Add wants to make sure the workshop is okay because this is where he does all his... Addtingz, but also just to see if they see anything amiss along the way.

Action: She'd like to check the room and see if there's anything amiss in a large sense - aka, a death - or in a smaller sense, if anything's missing or been reorganized.

Action: He'll squint at the torso-half of the body for a minute, and he'll investigate that if it can be identified as someone he knows. If not, he'd keep moving, heading down the hall towards the library, student store, auditorium first, stopping if there's anything else out of place.

Action: After seeing... the body............. he'll have noticed a couple of people heading to the lower floors to check things out, so Hinata will go higher. The last time Hinata smelled this much blood was in the memories (that are not actually his??? does he know this yet who knows but hopefully that's not relevant for the investigation) of him and Saihara dying, so that's the first place he's going to head. Anything out of place on the way or once he gets there?

Action: If I'm reading correctly, no one's taken that body down yet, so... Ishimaru's just going to carefully do that and try to investigate that body!

Action: While he's on body-guard duty, the only specific question is whether that bloodstain looks like there's been any movement, or like it just appeared under their chest as if they appeared out of nowhere and leaked on the ground, then got found, and they just never moved or bled anywhere else.

Aside from that though, he wants to start with checking the length of the hallway area for any clues!

Location/body: Classroom 2-C & then 1-A? Komaeda would wanna check the classrooms of his ex homies...
Action: Got a text over the forum from Amami on who they found, and so rather than checking the bodies... He doesn't think anyone checked the classrooms, so he's just seeing if there's anything left... like Shuichi's hat, or Rika's things.

Location/body: Third floor classrooms (starting with 2-D, since 2-C is covered)
Action: Looking to see if there's anything immediately off, especially given the locations of the bodies; whether it's at the doors or inside of the classrooms itself and will do a further scope of the classroom just in case.

Location/body: the void
Action: PRESUMABLY SPLITTING OFF FROM KOMAEDA Add is staying behind in the 2nd floor void while Ko goes and does Ko things elsewhere, but anyway. I am being told to investigate the rest of voidschool so Add is going to do exactly that, we're doing a full sweep of all the floors starting from the ground floor up to the fourth + the rooftop to see if there's anything that stands out on the voidschool end of things... excluding the void-void, because uh. If anything was left floating in there it's probably long gone by now, rip.

Since most changes in the void don't seem to rly "stick", he's also going to be paying attention to the shadow students to see if they thin out on certain floors or in certain classrooms. If there was a fight in the voidschool, some of the shadows may have been damaged in the process... gotta know if we're gonna have another mass migraine epidemic and where it may have occurred.

Action: ???? this isn't really directly related to the investigation, but uh. we sure are using one of the bodies from it SO. putting it here anyway. there is also an IC thread ongoing down here.

IMPORTANT NOTE that this will be occurring ICly after the body has been fully examined for clues, so if anyone else wants to go back and check something on gonbei-chan we can just assume it happened before Add gets his grubby hands on the body.

Anyway, what we are doing to poor gonbei-chan: void experiments babyyyyyy. Add wants to FULLY see what the fuck happens when a corpse gets sacrificed to the void, especially now that he's seen evidence of it receding upstairs... but for now, we're going to examine what happens when they bring gonbei-chan's corpse into the voidschool and toss it into the void themselves. Sorry shadowstudents, this one is theirs.

- Add will be going into the void alongside the corpse to see exactly what happens to it up close: if it just floats pointlessly in there or if something special happens to it. He'll wait at least a few minutes even if there are no apparent changes, just to be sure. He'll be bringing his one (1) Dynamo with him as his return method (can't really fly around effectively since it's just one bitty drone, but since there's no gravity in the void-void he can use it to push himself back to the school when he's done).
- Subaru will be on standby at the "boundary" between the school and the void, probably standing a few feet back in case the void starts expanding.
- Crona is also on standby w\ Subaru and has their flying skateboard with them. If something goes wrong, Add will give a signal for them to try and retrieve him via cool void skateboarding if for whatever reason he can't get back on his own or needs to get back more quickly (Dynamo stops working, the void/corpse? does something weird to Add, a giant space monster appears and tries to eat the corpse, y'know, typical void stuff).

Action: me still hung up on void things while everyone else is actually trying to solve the murder but I SWEAR THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL, ANYWAY,

After what happened with gonbei-chan, Add wants to know if some, all, or none of the remaining bodies trigger a response from the shadow students. We're not dumping any more bodies into the void (Amami would definitely kill him), so he'll be moving any bodies in places that are too close to/overlapping with the void to prevent that, and we're just taking a very brief trip to The Dark World™. Only long enough to see if any shadows are drawn to each body before bailing everyone out w\ mirror pieces so the bodies can't get dragged off.

Of the 8 remaining bodies, are the shadows drawn to any of them?

Action: He's doing what Komaeda asked :' ) asking the teacher when's the last time Rue Ryuzaki came to class, they were going to... [hurriedly thinks] study together... but he hasn't seen them around lately. Just a bothered third year possibly getting ditched by a fellow third year, that's all.

( so, anyway, after giving saihara his initial look over, amami's going to give in and make his way back to rika and this girl who he's never met before, but at least seems to be taking this seriously. he kind of pauses as his gaze comes to rest on the stab wound on her chest, the cuts in her uniform, but he swallows down his feelings the way he's supposed to. glances to inaba as he crouches down next to them. )

Sorry, you don't mind, do you?

( he'll indicate the body with an absent hand gesture. )

I-- [There's a pause, hesitant for a moment before answering:] I don't.

[Her voice comes rather clear-cut, but there's also something about it that seems rather distanced and cold.]

It doesn't look like that there's much else to find except for the wounds, and I have a pretty decent memory of the placement.

@ first(?) floor outside the elevator, after everyone is done examining bodies

[for whatever reason, it's Subaru that's still hanging around gonbei-chan when Add happens to stroll over looking for bodies, so.

looks at the corpse leaning against the wall... looks back at Subaru]

[subaru's sort of here to make sure no one takes? the eyes and arm? mostly the arm because the eyes are at least back in the pocket, out of sight out... not out of mind.

seeing add there, uh, hey. don't mind the knife in his hands, it's at least cleaned on gonbei-chan but he's gripping it tight.]

Um, sure. I dunno what we usually do with 'em, so...

( komaeda's going to bring himself towards the bodies of both rika and saihara, but he stops short of fully towering over them. saihara doesn't sleep as peaceful as before, and the anger upon rika's face tells a lot to the story as well, but looking at expressions doesn't give him enough data to continue, and so he asks properly. )

I want to touch them, you can observe me, if you'd like.

( amami is watching carefully as komaeda approaches, and he's weighing the risk-reward ratio before the question is even asked aloud. he doesn't seem to need any further consideration once it's out in the open though, because he'd already been considering it for a while yet, and he nods in response. )

... Yeah. Just don't mess around this time, okay?

( he knows komaeda's habits, but... he also knows that there was probably nobody here, himself included, who admired saihara more than komaeda did. that komaeda and rika might have gotten along like cat and dog at times, but she really did smile when playing around with him. so there's a little bit of hesitation, but in the end, he does feel like the other deserves his chance to learn what he can about what happened. that he's sharp when he wants to be. that he'd be good help to have on their side, in figuring out who did this. once amami's answered, the body he gestures to is saihara's, carefully set to the side of the hallway so it isn't treated like a centerpiece. )
