When I hid in the bleachers of the Mordovia Arena.

( it's meant to be a fond memory, but he remembering being told that he got caught, but he'd like to go back just to see what that was like. it's interesting given the fact he was there too, and considering the time frames... ah, but that's a story for another day. )

it's hard to miss the way subaru's eyes light up with recognition, especially since he tilts his head a bit.]

You must be horrible at geography, but yes, it's in the capital.

( he lifts a finger which happens to be one. )

It's located in the central part of the city and is within a walking distance of the city's key infrastructure.

[hehehe. subaru rubs the side of his phone idly, wondering if he should pause because it's not really part of the interview, but he's edited videos before it'll be fine!!!]

I'm not that bad at geography~, I just wonderin' if it was in Saransk or not. Rocchan didn't mention anything about an arena, just churches and colleges and stuff like that... What sorta sports do they play up there in the cold?

( whoever said he went with rokkun? he's not going to explain his life with someone who lacks talent, and so he crosses his arms and turns away. )

[a pure assumption, honestly, if rokuro talked about it and komaeda talked about it]

Why not? I thought you guys were chummy.

You wanted to interview me, not me and him.

( it's going against the reason subaru is doing this, and so komaeda will turn away from the camera. he doesn't want to be involved, which is obvious as he attempts to walk away from him. )

[... oh, okay, no that makes sense--

he clicks off the recording and shoves the phone into his pocket, stepping quick to beside komaeda as he shows his empty hands.]

Gotcha. Interview over, I'll stitch in a better ending if I need to put one there. Now can we talk, Maddy? I wanted to ask you something anyway, since you know a lot about him...

[he's going to be interviewing rokuro when he gets back anyway]

I'm not his keeper, but... Sakasaki-kun did add my name as a reference on the slideshow.

( if anyone needs something out of him, komaeda's able to change his mind, as long as it's reasonable — the other acts with his heart around him, apparently. even now, he's not sure what he should do about that, it feels awkward talking about someone who will be completely honest with him, but has a penchant for lying. )

( he's only talking because the other's hands are empty, and so he feels fine enough to do so. )

Um, so, I didn't actually hear-hear Saransk from him, I just learned more about it... I learned a lotta stuff about him actually, it was fun.

( it's not unfamiliar, having someone be direct, and komaeda raises a hand to his chin like he's thinking about what's been said. he knows the answer, obviously, subaru doesn't know, but he does. talking about the arata siblings seem so easy considering how much komaeda plays in their lives, so he hums in thought before shrugging. )

Kudo-san also mentioned Saransk, does that make her part of their family? Despite her sharing the same club with Rokkun at one point?

( in a way he asking for the other to explain, considering the dots don't connect well from point a to point d. ) ...I know of Saransk too, so what does that make me...?
