( on february 2, transfer students will find that there are notes hung up around the dormitory with doctor's scrawl handwriting that a few people might recognize scribbled across it. it reads: )

TRANSFER MEETING
february 2, 5:00 p.m.
dorm common room

( the early-arrivers will find that amami is already set up in the common room, making himself comfortable on the far side of one of the couches with a sketchbook, but beyond a wave and a smile he won't offer much to speak of. it's only once it looks like there's a good handful of people that he'll glance around, grimace a bit, and speak up. )

So... I'm sure you guys already know why we're here, right?

( rest in piss, hiro. legend almost took two transfer students with him on his way. )

I know I might not be the person anyone wants to hear this from, but I figure everyone's had some time to gather evidence and any witnesses we might've had by now. I don't like the idea of this continuing more than anyone else, and if we want to keep it from happening again, it's probably best if we compile what we know.

( and unfortunately what he knows is nothing, because he was busy getting stabbed, so the floor is officially open. )

(ICly, this meeting begins on February 1. However, to keep us from trapping ourselves in another time cube, when things start to slow down, Amami will pitch that they regroup in a couple days. The details don't matter so much, but you can assume they'll come back for more discussion intermittently if anything new comes to light before Disney. This doesn't all have to be in one day! When you guys get married, am I invited? My uncle said I could be a flower girl at his wedding, but I'm pretty sure that will never happen.

[holds up the paper she was doodling on. eerily photorealistic sketch of komaeda and rokkun holding hands. rokkun is in the wedding dress.]

Nice sketch, it looks just like him. That's not what's important... if you paid that much attention to the case like you do the lines you drew, maybe you'd understand the discrepancy in evidence.

( he places a hand on the drawing, smudging it a bit so that he leaves a fingerprint in the corner. )

So, it's something about the fingerprints? You could just say what it is, y'know. If you went into his room and pressed his fingers against the note or something...

You have superpowers, so that's not a really convincing argument... And you want to die, so...

I mean, I guess you could've just given him the paper while he's awake. It's not like anybody would be suspicious of that. It's just paper. He's probably held a bajillion pieces of paper in school; you just pick one of those out of the trash or something. How are we supposed to figure out if somebody just did that?

You tell me! It's not what I was getting at, so I can't say much to your theory, but you can hash it out with me if you so choose.

( grabbing her drawing, he looks it over while humming softly. )

I guess. [really she should charge for her commissions, but. pulls out another sheet of paper and gets to work.] Who's the bride when it's three people?

[sighs] Fingerprints, fingerprints, fingerprints... Those are weird things to look for. And why's everybody sending notes about stuff? You shouldn't go someplace just because a note said so. If somebody wanted to meet you, they'd just tell you about it. We live here.

You shouldn't listen to a ghost that told you to make a fae portal and walk through a mirror, but you did so anyway.

( come on now, everyone can make mistakes sometimes. )

Hey! That was a very good idea! I was just sabotaged by an evil floating baseball bat or something. I'm gonna wear a helmet next time.

It'd be dumb to trick people with fingerprints. I mean, anybody who touched it would leave them behind, so you'd be all over it, too. [she's gonna give nanami a little hat, she thinks.]

Yep, sounds like a very good idea.

( not. he's not budging on his thoughts on that matter. )

That makes sense, so it's not my doing. If someone was thorough, they'd wear gloves, and the janitor closet is free to use, so it makes this even more tedious.

Everyone involved in this is dumb, though, so we should keep that in mind... Who even wanted to check for fingerprints in the first place? We're not cops. This isn't like TV. We probably contaminated a whole bunch of stuff.

[commences]

No! There's hope in this, you can't see it because you haven't seen the growth that everyone has went through... it was such a shame you disappeared at such an important time.

( big sigh! )

There's no need to be cops, but we have a few detectives in training... we also have Ultimates!

Nobody here's grown. They're just crazier.

[taps pencil against chin] If an Ultimate killed somebody, what would you let us do about it?

( and look at him, he's as talented as ever... the dreamy look he gives when he looks at amami. )

( looks at him now since he can't look at amami. )

It was for the best, and they were his classmates.

[sighs because clearly he isn't getting the "important to ME" undertones.]

Maybe he went and killed some classmates for the best again, then. 'Cause it kinda seems like your Ultimates are all ultimately bad people.

[commences]

Nope, we're not in a killing game, so he has no reason to do that...

( they're not at home, duh stephanie!! he does pause at the statement of his ultimates.

You can blame me, I'm bad for them. I started the first murder, but I'd do it again... and again... and again...

Yeah, I know. I'm really hoping you didn't do this one, though. I'd be pretty sad to have to kill you.

[holds up paper. it's a summer wedding.]

Maybe we should just punish everybody who left fingerprints. It'd be the safest way.

Would I die if I did this murder? Punishments are interesting because your best bet would be just killing me now.

( that way they can prevent any future murders, they can keep ishimaru safe. )

Then you'd kill indiscriminately, and I can't allow you to do that.

( he pokes the drawing, but this time he won't smudge anything. )
