Definitely the ocean. A lot of ships are pretty bright themselves now though, so I'd wanna go like... on a real sailing ship, the sort they had back in the day with sails and stuff!

I haven't been thinking about myself lately, just someone important to me. They're in a bad way, see, so I wanna do everything I can to help 'em out. I figure I'll be fine no matter what happens.

[idly, he glances down at his wrist, though the school's uniform covers it neatly as anyone else's. honestly would make sense if he died like that, he doesn't think he could kill someone.

That's a tough question. To me, it's possible for anybody to survive, even the ones who are scared.

[ Especially them. The weak, the unassuming, the ones you lower your guards around. When push comes to shove, anybody is capable of anything, can do whatever they can to survive. ]

no matter what, if it was natsume and someone else, natsume would choose himself. he's going to live whatever the means. it puts a weight in subaru's chest, drags it to his stomach where it sits uncomfortable, uneasy, and he decides to snip it off and throw it into the corners of his mind where it can fester like everything else! he won't think of his friends as possible murderers. especially when there is no need for it this year.]

[ Eichi-senpai isn't wrong, and reminds Rokkun of something somebody said to him once— how he acted like a wounded, cornered animal, his response being that with a wall at one's back, there is no other choice but to move forward. ]

...It'd wreck my plans if all the other third years died too early, yeah.

Macchi? No, I'd only ever promise that sort of thing to myself.

[ Like a personal goal, or something. Because if he fails and lets himself down, it's fine, that's expected. Besides, he knows better than to voice that sort of wish aloud to anybody else. ]
