[ Komaeda tosses the can away and Kazuki turns away from him to go retrieve it, because he's a gardener and Komaeda is an afterthought. ]

[ Kazuki picks up his watering can and for the rest of the night he just waters plants in the opposite direction Komaeda's megaphone is pointing. ]

I'll be good... I'm just really bad at conversation, so it's hard...

[ Goes around behind him and waters Komaeda's shoes ]

[ If Komaeda tosses the can away again Kazuki's pouring the rest of it onto his head ]

Ahaha... I would, but if I do... they'd die, I really don't have a green thumb...

( the last thing he needs is the life essence of the flowers leaving and then kazuki blaming him for it. )

Did you water them often when you were... uh... alive?

I never was, in the sense you are thinking about. I have always been a spirit.

[ Still, he insists on giving Komaeda the can. ]

I will be here to make sure you do not overwater the plants. Even if you do, they are resilient. You do not have to worry about killing them.

I can't imagine a world where living creatures don't die around me, but...

( how is komaeda-arata supposed to hold the can and the gun, well, he'll take it in his other hand, the weight now with him, and relinquishing kazuki from it. he turns to the plants, staring down at them with his back to the other, and the light turns away and is now on what komaeda-arata has to tend to. )

These plants are ones that have always grown in this land. They too will live and die, regardless of my presence. That lad's plants are different: cared for, cultivated for a reason. Mine are simply here to live.

anyways, it looks like this thread is after Natsume's so it's up to Alice whether he ended up planting chamomile for Komaeda to drown or not, but presumably most of the plants are indoors in the gardening club. ]

I gave him the means to grow his own stock. Whether you take or he shares is not up to me, but I have given what I can.

( he's going to walk away from what he's watering, then take a few steps over to his eyeless companion. )

What about limbs? I have a finger left.

[ Kazuki looks conflicted, like he's imagining Komaeda with a thumb and no other fingers on his hands. ]

Humans grow in much the same way plants do. They need fresh air and water, healthy food, sunlight in moderate doses.

Nope, I want to grow actual limbs within the ground.
