[ Idly, they bring their fingers up to their own face to touch, but drops their hands after a moment ]

I might be able to find something. What is your friend like? Or what do you think would look good on them?

[sisters]

Off the top of my head, I know he likes gardening. He's not much of a conversationalist, but he's a good listener — used to be a teacher.

( that's everything, right? not like amami has been too interested in asking him about his other hobbies. )

I think his old one used to be a fox mask, but it ended up being damaged a while back.

[ Quiet, a good listener, likes to garden... npckun thinks they would probably get along with a teacher like that, but they're not too sure. A commission's a commission, though, and this is plenty to work off of. ]

You said you'll help, so pick one: red, blue, or purple?

[sisters]

Blue.

( red is more aesthetic, but it's also the colour of blood. purple might work for the wisteria, but in the end, blue is a calming colour, and they want kazuki to be calm. )

[adsum]

Done! I'll have it to you in... a week and a half. You'd better have the money by then!

[ it's going to be this mask ]

[sisters]

No problem, I'm good for it. How much?

( need to make sure they're fairly compensated... because it's super pretty. )

[sisters]

I'll bring you everything I've got back in the dorms.

( close enough...? )

[ Rich people really are insane, it's like they don't even hear the hundred

What are things you're good at? So I can use you better.

[sisters]

I'm pretty good at drawing?

( kamo-kun says he is and therefore they're correct. )

I'm not bad at cooking either, I know how to do hair, nails, makeup...

[adsum]

[ Maybe they will hold off on art projects. The other things, though... If Amami is good at cooking, then he's good with timing and measurement. Doing hair takes a lot of patience, painting nails is very precise work, makeup is basically painting and understanding contours and colors. All useful skills to have. ]

You didn't need to commission those gifts from me, back then. If it were my birthday, I would have been happier having somebody give me that time and attention, rather than receiving something somebody else made.

[sisters]

Yeah, I'd have liked to do both if I could've. ( had planned to cook her that meal off her list too, actually. )

It was her first time celebrating it though, and I think she was really looking forward to the whole thing — gifts included. Did I mention that she was so happy with them, she asked me on a date later?

( well, more like a "date" since he didn't take it to be anything serious, but like... obviously the gifts were appreciated. kamo-kun did a good job.

that said... he tucks this preference away in his pocket for later. )

[ Oh... They suppose, yeah, receiving gifts is the most standard part of birthday and people don't really go the "spending time together" route unless they're old or are like them, who doesn't exactly know what to do with material things that's theirs to keep instead of passing through their hands like all their wares. They look down at their hands, at the ring on their thumb, then back up.

Yeah. ( watching kamo-kun fondly, he offers up a smile when they meet his eyes. )

She's a pretty interesting person — gives off a vibe like everything is new to her, so she's excited to experience it. Even the little things, so it makes it easy for you to enjoy them too... I think you'd like her.

[adsum]

...yeah.

[ They probably would. They can relate to some extent— trying to read as much about everything as they can so they can at least pretend to be knowledgeable and well socialized like a normal person— but there is also so much they haven't seen or experienced. ]

Like going up to the roof to see the stars, or building sandcastles by a pool.

[ Little things that mean so much ]

Just like that.

( the way his expression softens, it's a critical hit to the heart. )

If I get the chance, maybe I'll introduce the two of you some time.

( they can try some new things, make some new memories together. )

[adsum]

Maybe.

[ There's that little bit of nervousness in their expression at meeting new people, but if Amami is there with them, it'll probably fine, hopefully, maybe.

But I want to spend time with you too. You look busier.

[ Going to class instead of going missing for twenty days and wasting his time playing with them ]

[sisters]

Maybe.

( he'll repeat after them with a smile, as if to say, only if they want to. and for the rest... double checks the calendar... )

Yeah, I'll visit lots too. I'll bring that inarizushi by early on tomorrow and, if you want, we can spend the whole day together.

( ...trust him this time, okay? )

[ parents up... tomorrow is Sunday, which means most people are too busy not shopping and it's pretty slow, though they'll always feel that fomo if they're not physically there.

Just you and me and nobody else? From dawn until dusk?

[sisters]

I'll be here at six sharp, and I'll stay 'til you kick me out.

( or at least, you know... stay with them, wherever they wanna hang out. )

I'm kicking you out at 10PM.

[ Otherwise, yes. ]

Will you take me to the rooftop?

[sisters]

Haha, early bedtime, huh? Once we eat, we'll go anywhere you want. Can't get off campus, but that aside...

( the possibilities are limitless, as long as it's on school grounds. )

[adsum]

Normal bedtime.

[ excuse all y'all who are awake at 3 in the morning, I see you ]

So we'll go to the rooftop. And maybe... the pool. As long as it's during the day, I think I'll be okay.

[sisters]

If you say so. But yeah, sounds good. You have swimsuits here?

( last time he went, they just kind of made do with what they had, but if it's planned... )

Maybe we can actually go in the water while it's light.

[adsum]

Yeah, but they're not on display since it's getting too late into the season for them. I'm not going in the water, though. I don't know how to swim.

[ They will go to the pool and sit on one of those beach chairs and that's it, maybe ]
