So, there's this tree that I have. ( they can talk about his tree instead; he's been meaning to for a while. )

It's a banyan tree, I think — the kind with roots that hang down. You probably know about those, yeah? But it does something a little strange. If you touch it, it tries to kind of hold your finger, and I don't think that'd usually happen with this kind of tree. An underclassman of mine, good with spirits, said that it had "good vibes" too. So I was wondering if you might be willing to give me an opinion on it.

Yes, I am familiar with banyan trees. They grow upon a host, climbing and strangling it with their roots in order to grow, and eventually the host is cut off from all light and nutrients, and will die. Fascinating, aren't they?

They require plenty of sunlight, and watering enough to keep the soil moist. If you are not sure how much to water the tree, you can set the pot within a shallow pan of water, and its roots will take what it needs.

[ If he bleeds in the water the tree will probably grow faster, Kazuki does not say because this is unofficial advice ]

Blood is a good source of nitrogen for plants, but you should take care not to overdo it. Mix it in the soil, rather than pour it directly over the plant, or the acidity may end up doing more harm than good.

He is right, lad. A life is a life, and even a plant's is not a trifle matter. If you simply wish to take care of a plant, I have many who would appreciate the companionship. If you wish to grow something ornamental or to be eaten, those are different considerations. Tell me your thoughts, so that I may help find one that suits your interests best.
