I only know the big squishy green ones, but those were on fruit trees, not in a forest like this. I've seen butterflies there, though, so there's got to be some, somewhere.
no subject
( why do you use komaeda for evil, obviously when komaeda and hikaru are gone on a field trip!! )
I haven't been to the forest here... what's the best route we can take to get there?
( as for caterpillars, i tried to google the ones that makes the cute fuzzy moths but i can't find them, i hope they find those... they mean so much to me. )

The campus is surrounded by forest, so really, we can go however we want. Just behind the dorms works just fine.
[ And they'll be able to walk straight out into the tree line, turning back around to see if Komaeda's keeping up. He can get as far as that before blacking out. ]
no subject
( let me tell you i get so scared, i can't even google spiders, if i see sumn w more than 2 legs i am OUT!
he's listening, because he'll be willing to go with hikaru to the forest, thinking they're a good luck charm until...
...
...
you're telling me he just faints right then and there? well, he's hikaru's problem now... is he still holding the glass jars? he's probably going to stab himself on impact, but you know what...
...
... )

Komaeda opens his eyes to find himself lying at the base of the wisteria tree, surrounded by spider lilies with a wet towel placed over his forehead. Hikaru is sitting next to him eating lunch, because there's nothing else for them to do so they're just going to work on this. ]
no subject
komaeda closes his eyes, returning to the darkness just so he can open them again to see if hikaru's one, which they're not, and it's a surprise to him. his vision feels lightly blurry when there's a sea or red wrapped around him, but he'll take a deep breath and just lay there. )
...
( he parts his mouth open to speak, it's like he forgot his words for a moment, and he closes his mouth again trying to register the situation. why is he here, and he even looks up at the wisteria petals... which one is his dead friends... okay, maybe he can say something worth while. )
...Goto-kun?
no subject
[ They set the food aside and turn to face Komaeda, ready to help him sit up or stare blankly at him if he decides to keep laying down. ]
How are you feeling? I turned around and you were on the ground.
no subject
We get a little further every month, ah... I'm sorry, Goto-kun... I guess I can't go to the forest with you...
( he clears his throat, shaking his head. )
...I'm feeling disappointed.
no subject
[ aka they'd be dying in their black robes if they stayed too long outside, and Hikaru's own is laid over their shoulders instead of with their arms properly through the sleeves. ]
no subject
( he has a headache at the moment, and he lifts one hand to rub at his temples... he doesn't understand why, but he's never been the type to be in the sun. so that's right because he... burns easily. )
...I always wanted to have darker skin, but the sun is really bad for my complexion. I didn't mean to cause problems for you.
( he feels bad... )
no subject
It's no problem! Really, it's not. It's not quite camping out in the forest, but we have a tree here and a picnic [ sort of, it's partially eaten, but sort of ] and the shade feels nice, doesn't it?
no subject
( because they'd take up pieces of the deceased, and that happens to be their so called "peaceful" expression when asleep. now he doesn't know if that's how it works for hikaru, but considering they're part of the cult, and should know about this already makes komaeda wonder. )
It's perfect, though.
no subject
[ It's with a concerned look on their face that they look back up at the canopy of flowers above them, and no matter what, all they can feel while sitting below is peace. That despite the number of people who have come and gone in their life, the thought of them still being here, watching over them, is nothing short of comforting. ]
...I like it here. It makes me feel as if I'm not alone.
no subject
( spices things up even though it's pushing it, even though it's the people that's died above them, and one of them are saihara, and komaeda frowns slightly. one of them are also rika, and his mouth twitches a bit, and then he wonders who will put up with him now. not that people don't put up with him, but it was a little different... those types of people are rare — reckless where others aren't, a third option when people see one or the other. )
...Isn't this tree dying, what will you do then...?
no subject
The tree's not going to die... It can't. It's been here as long as I can remember.
no subject
...Has it? How long has it been here?
( it's pretty big, and god knows hikaru didn't see it as a sprout... )
no subject
[ They weren't there, they don't know. Maybe if the one guy who knows would tell people. ]
no subject
( since hikaru seems to know everything. ) Oh... we could always ask the gardener, have you met him? He might be able to help us make our own camping area...
no subject
Oh... No. I've seen him around sometimes, but I haven't talked to him before. He makes me kind of nervous, actually.
no subject
( turning hikaru to a life of crime, yep yep... )
What makes you nervous about him, though?
no subject
[ Why are you guys friends with him ]
no subject
( alright, now he's going to look hikaru in the eyes, curious. )
If you could kill him, would you?
no subject
[ But they do not meet Komaeda's eyes. ]
It's like when you find a spider in your house and are kind of creeped out by it, but you take a sheet of paper and move it outside instead. He lives in the forest, doesn't he? I bet he'll be happier there.
no subject
( i couldn't do it because spiders scare the fuck out of me! that aside, komaeda notices they don't look at him, and he smiles like he's content with the choice they chose. )
I've always seen him here, taking care of this tree... he might not move much, I think he's trapped here... should we set him free?
no subject
That would be best, right? Do you know how?
