one fragment ❖ r.furude
There's a poem that I'd like for people to read and share their thoughts on. I'm not sure how good it is, so I was thinking that maybe having it in a public forum like this would allow for some discussion.
Committing a crime isn't scary.
The scary part is to admit it.
Receiving a punishment isn't scary.
The scary part is to know the pain of it.
Neither crime nor punishment will be gone from the world,
Because humans are unable to know their future.
Alternatively, if you do not like poems, or would like another question to chew on: there isn't some sort of magic that can make someone become older, is there?
You can say that curiosity killed the cat, really. If you have your own poems to share, I'd like to read them as well. Writing these sorts of things is a hobby of mine, I suppose.

There is, actually! I've met someone who can make someone older or cuter or whatever he wants. It's not fun though, he does it to suck out your life force.
[ fuck you AND your midnight bliss, maximoff. ]
no subject
Although I wonder if sucking life force can even happen in a place like this, where everyone is already deceased.
no subject
Besides. If we have no life force, then how is it that we can die again while we're here?
no subject
[As much as she hates to say, much less admit to that.]

Oh, but it's nice to dream still.

But it seems that my physical body's time has aged regardless of me saying anything, hence the question.
no subject
You what now?
[ Her body's gotten older-- what the-- ]
Why?? I mean, did you make a wish to be bigger????

but
i know of magic that can kind of make someone older. it requires that time magic be placed on their body first, and then they spend years doing... whatever it is in that appearance and age, and then when theyre done they would undo the spell and "age up" i guess. maybe thats not really the same as what you mean
my older brother invented time magic and i have his spellbook now, so ive been reading.
no subject
Would someone be able to tell if a spell was placed...?
no subject
are you interested in time magic?
no subject
I enjoy seeing and learning new things, after all.
no subject
i dont really know if it'll help you, but if you want to i can let you read through some of my brothers writings about time magic, since i have them

you dont have to repay me rly i dont need it!! but i have a feeling youre going to insist. so if you feel like repaying me, can i actually request help learning how to cook?? im really bad at it and i know you were in the cooking contest
no subject
Well, I have already been teaching Kaede how to cook, so teaching another isn't a problem. I can't say I'm master chef level, but I've done most of the cooking on my own for the longest time.
Just let me know what time is good for all of this.

no it's not we've had like multiple murder confessions on here
pain sucks but some people are into that
humans all die
and why would you wanna look like a hag lol
no subject
[Poems are up to interpretation normally of course, but the writer is literally right here to rebuff them as needed.]
If some people are into pain, I don't think I've seen one yet. And certainly, humans may all die, but that doesn't mean that they necessarily don't live, either. Even in a world without us in it, that doesn't mean life doesn't go on, or their existence isn't cut short.
And I never said that, don't put words in my mouth. I was just simply curious, as I found myself in a much older body this morning. Although I wouldn't quite say that being the supposed age that this physical body is makes me a hag.

I don't think anybody wants to be punished but if you do something wrong then you must know there's a chance, right? Like in Ace Attorney games, they always manage to find the bad guy eventually. It's not like punishment is completely unpredictable.
no subject
Apparently some people say that there are people who are... excuse my language, "into that". There are times, however, when people don't find the bad guy. That they get away with it entirely and win, so to speak. I know that for certain.
Perhaps karmic retribution exists, however.
And while I personally don't think that punishment is unpredictable in of itself; just that it's something that won't be easily cast aside as a concept. It's something that will continue to exist, simply put.
Although I can't say whether I could predict what sort of punishment would come to pass, for any of my sins.

Since not everybody in the world is here, I can't really say if that's the case for everybody... but at least for us, it's probably something we're supposed to keep in mind, I think.

This is my first time experiencing something like this; I've never had to do it before.
[What does she have left to prove? She's died so many times that she can't count them on two hands and not once has she been a place such as this before "moving on". It's odd to her.]
I earnestly don't know much about the nature of this place. It isn't that I was covering my ears, but rather... many other things were happening that nobody had the chance to explain to me much.
Amongst other things, I suppose.
Although if karma is in play, I'd have to guess that I have too much of the bad. I suppose saying that is a bit ironic, however, for a shrine miko.
no subject
I don't really know if there's a value system at play here, like you can gain or lose points, or if the goal is just to reach the end.
no subject
Not once have I rolled ones on the dice and landed in an afterlife school after my passing. I don't understand why I'm here to begin with.
There are an infinite amount of worlds that could be better. But the same goes for worse, too. Reincarnation doesn't guarantee a good second chance.
no subject
I could understand not wanting a second chance. I can understand wanting to rest.
I still want to do things, though. I want to play games together with people - or, whatever it is I like doing in my next life.
