That's the school's gardener way, isn't there another? You can tell me, we have until morning anyway.
( he'd help water, you know, but he doesn't know if he can take his watering can. )
I don't sleep tonight either...
no subject
[ Why does nobody in this school sleep, stop wandering around the school trying to talk to him, I say as I realize it can only happen before midnight if they're talking and I never go to sleep before midnight. But it's 1999, Kazuki is old fashioned. ]
no subject
( why doesn't he sleep? it's not a complicated story, it's the fact his thoughts are too muddled to actually give him answers that feels like a night's rest would be warranted. there are things he doesn't know, he's limited in that, and in return... some nights are worse than others. then to wake up only to be someone's disappointment, and anger targeted towards him only makes sleeping, and living to the next day a chore. )
I'll answer, though... It's not satisfying around others anymore. ( anyway. ) What does Arata Mizuki think of you?
no subject
That is something you would have to ask of him.
[ Part of him feels like he's betraying the counselor for redirecting Komaeda to him, but there's no guilt because helping these children get better is literally his job. Kazuki's just here to water plants. ]
no subject
( all kazuki do is water plants??? honestly, what a boring way to live in komaeda's standards, and if he reaches out... can he takes the watering pale instead? is he able to do that... let him water to see how fulfilling this is, because honestly watching does nothing for him. )
no subject
I consider him a dear friend, and I hope he still does as well.

...
...
komaeda tosses the can aside because he wants kazuki's full attention. pay attention to him, he's dying without someone noticing him! )
Oops! I swung my arm too quick... ( sighs, doesn't go get it. ) Does he ever come to talk to you? He's always cooped up in his office, it must be lonely...

( STOPPPPPPPPPP i hate it, please kazuki, komaeda will follow but he can't see... how he know where it's at, komaeda's squinting!! )

( stop moving away from him! )
I'll be good... I'm just really bad at conversation, so it's hard...

bad luck for something good. )
You're missing your flowers, they're over there... ( pushes his water can to the side so he can stop watering him. )
They look nice... so don't waste your water.
no subject
The watering can presses against Komaeda's hand. ]
I'm glad to hear that. I cannot see them very well, however. Will you water them for me?
[ If Komaeda tosses the can away again Kazuki's pouring the rest of it onto his head ]
no subject
( the last thing he needs is the life essence of the flowers leaving and then kazuki blaming him for it. )
Did you water them often when you were... uh... alive?
no subject
[ Still, he insists on giving Komaeda the can. ]
I will be here to make sure you do not overwater the plants. Even if you do, they are resilient. You do not have to worry about killing them.
no subject
( how is komaeda-arata supposed to hold the can and the gun, well, he'll take it in his other hand, the weight now with him, and relinquishing kazuki from it. he turns to the plants, staring down at them with his back to the other, and the light turns away and is now on what komaeda-arata has to tend to. )
If you're sure they'll hold up... are these related to the ones you gave...
( ... can they not tell spirits their names at night. )
This pretty boy with red hair, and a white stripe... you must have seen him, apparently he talks to you often.
no subject
To live is to die. Such a thing is inevitable, regardless of your presence.
[ I mean. He can say names out loud. If he wants. ]
These plants are ones that have always grown in this land. They too will live and die, regardless of my presence. That lad's plants are different: cared for, cultivated for a reason. Mine are simply here to live.
no subject
I understand that already... people die for a reason, that's why we're able to have stepping stones, if I die, I hope I'm used for everything that I'm worth.
( ...
he holds onto the watering can, focusing on kazuki's plants, but where are the lad's plants so komaeda can overwater because he's insane like that. )
Hm... He got some herbs from you, and I ate them... they didn't taste too bad! Do you have anymore?
no subject
anyways, it looks like this thread is after Natsume's so it's up to Alice whether he ended up planting chamomile for Komaeda to drown or not, but presumably most of the plants are indoors in the gardening club. ]
I gave him the means to grow his own stock. Whether you take or he shares is not up to me, but I have given what I can.
no subject
( he's going to walk away from what he's watering, then take a few steps over to his eyeless companion. )
What about limbs? I have a finger left.
( fear garden by kagamine rin. )
no subject
Humans grow in much the same way plants do. They need fresh air and water, healthy food, sunlight in moderate doses.
no subject
( sounds insane, but you never know if you don't ask. )
I want to feed the pool monster, have you met with it yet?
no subject
[ No limbs will grow but they'll rot and become good fertilizer, so you know what? Kazuki's all for it. ]
I tend to the courtyard and its plants. I have nothing to do with the rest of the school.
no subject
( that's true, you know, komaeda-arata will see what he can do about making corpse fertilizer. )
What's something you never told anyone about the courtyard? If you want, we can talk inside of the school.
( water, water, water... )
