( he whispers that first, soft and light, his words showing that he's looking forward to it himself. he hums, nothing too uncomfortable into rokkun's ear, and a hand reaches down to rest on the other's waist. )

...About those marks we all wear and graduation, do you know the highest and lowest count there's been?

( the way i remembered i was supposed to talk to him about this clue, but i was obsessed w his cheeks. )

[ He shrugs. It's not about erasing tallies; it's about never getting them in the first place. There's no point to it, but still... ]

Some die sooner than others, but... ( that's not what this is about. ) there are some people who don't have any tallies, I believe this school offers tally erasure... but it's not the same.

Why would you want to erase your tallies?

[ It's a mark of... something... Whatever it is, it's easy enough to just cover it up like Rokkun and many other students do, or be like Seiya or Chiaki who would break your arm if you try to touch them ]

( he lifts his right arm, looking it over despite the sleeve that covers it — he can imagine the tallies behind the fabric. )

I could remove this whole arm... but I guess these are etched onto my soul no matter what. ( he looks to rokkun. ) Have you ever thought about removing yours?

( hums softly, to call it unlucky... he thinks over subaru's words, and sighs. though, not like something is bothering him, no, not to the point he needs rokkun to ask him what's on his mind. )

[ There's a whole bunch of tallies. Skin looks a bit raw compared to last time, but nothing actively bleeding, and if Rokkun is annoyed at Komaeda doing what he wants, it doesn't show; after hitting a certain point, the number of tallies become meaningless, at least visually. ]

I think you have it backwards...

Thinking about freeing everybody by burning down the tree? Or do you have another plan?
