Just the oppoSITE. She had a piece of herself taken from her and placed in a puzzle BOX. Some... things hapPENED, and it was broken instead of being SOLVED. She described to me what she remembered of the person who offered the chance to her beFORE, so I've been trying to find out who's been roleplaying God as a soul surgeon and taking apart things that don't belong to THEM, with permission or otherWISE.

I was too late by the time I knew, but if I weren't...

[ Saving somebody before they die is out of the question; he doesn't have that sort of clairvoyance. If he were there at the time... he'd be kidding himself if he thought he would be capable of playing hero and facing whoever would have killed Leo, so it would have only been after the fact, maybe. Like with Rokuro and the imps, saving a life before the soul departs, the method of which he decidedly does not like talking about. ]

...When a person dies, if there is lingering attachment to this world, there's the chance they'll be able to come back. It's not technically saving him... but he'd be able to wake up once more.

Most of it, but not all... Rokkun— Rokuro— knew me before I knew him, and he's the one who brought me up to date.
