They're cute! I'll have one, and we can save the rest for lunch when we're too busy to make something else!
[ are these the wasabi ones, did Nene teach him this ]
no subject
Hm? You mean your friends, right? Sure... they can have the rest. How many of you are there?
( so he can make enough out of what he has here, because he's rolling their heads one by one to set to the side as he looks at the nori paper. )
You can cut out the faces and patterns... ( no... hikaru actually gets a good batch, no wonder rokkun got the wasabi... )
no subject
[ He can't have forgotten already; he's already practicing cutting out shapes from the nori, which is good because it looks like he needs the practice.
Not that Hikaru's are going to be much better, but they do what they can... V shapes for the ears, little triangles for the nose, strips for whiskers, misshapen nori scraps can be spots... It's the eyes and mouth that are hard, since most people have a special device to neatly stamp out those sorts of things. Or, according to Google, a machine to cut nori using lasers. ]
no subject
( absent thoughts are common, his brain cycles through the old, pushes in the new, and he moves forward so he doesn't think about the past. he can't take it back since he already commented on it, and his eyes glance towards hikaru like it's unknown to him for someone to willingly want to go along with him — honestly, they could have accepted eating the nekonigiri, and then carried on elsewhere. )
What did you want to do first, you belong to me for the whole day.
( with the heads modeled, he's going to slide them over to hikaru to add the faces. ) You can make them look like your friends, then.
no subject
The nekonigiri get a layer of nori laid over the top of their heads, kind of the like the black hood they all wear. ]
Covering up the ceiling is probably going to take some time, so let's tackle that first, before it's noon and it gets too hot.
[ When the sun is directly overhead and makes them feel like retreating somewhere with a solid roof. ]
no subject
not the cultist cat, which komaeda stares at. )
Can we borrow some of the outfits from the cultist club? ( probably not what they're called, but that's fine. ) We can stitch it together, and then a little piece of your efforts will be embedded in it!
( now that he thinks about it, black will soak up the sun's rays, and that way no one has to suffer from the gnawing heat. he already doesn't like to be in the sun, but there are days where it feels... worse? or maybe it's his imagination. either way, he'll scoop some rice into a bowl as he slides it over to hikaru, and he'll turn off whatever he used to cook with. after, he'll grab his cold toast to take a bite. )
Come on, you're way too slow.
no subject
[ Are they supposed to make their own cat or eat the rest of the rice? They're just going to hold the bowl between their hands for now. ]
Sorry, but we got these from Lucifer-senpai, so they're special. I can't let you use mine, and we don't have extras lying around... I'm sure there's black fabric at school we can use, though.
no subject
( maybe, but listen, komaeda gave them majority of the rice, and the little cats that he made are fine. already sitting on the table for hikaru to grab those too, if they want. )
We could always try the principal's office.
no subject
In our closets? More aren't going to magically appear unless Lucifer-senpai's handing them out. We can ask him.
[ Why would they be in the principal's office... They don't want to go to the principal's office, the ac is turned up too high in there. ]
no subject
Lucifer-kun... ( hm. ) I got him to handfeed me once, so I doubt he'll give me a cloak...
( honestly, i could make komaeda regain his little halloween reaper fit for this year... then he can look like a cultist! anyway. )
Unless you want to ask him yourself... Get us 10 of them.
no subject
Okay!
[ Lucifer-senpai will absolutely, without a doubt, pull through for them, they have complete confidence. ]
Wait right here, I'll be right back!
no subject
Okay, I'll finish these up.
( so he's going to drizzle on whatever fat cats that hikaru made, giving them spots or stripes, and then he gets a little creative to make a clover on one. that's by taking one piece of rice, rolling it in the liquid, and then putting it back so that he can make the shape. komaeda is no artist, so of course the cat's tail falls off, but it's fine... they have nine lives.
he'll stay there for as long as he remembers to.
...
...
which is three minutes, he wants to follow. )
have y'all's robes
It's probably not hard to ?? make a cultist cloak ?? like they're just cloaks, plain black and simple in design, but give him a few hours to crank out ten of them.
Hikaru could ask anything of Lucifer and he'd say yes honestly, so this isn't a huge deal to him. He won't even question it.]
no subject
no subject
fuck komaeda tho
But Hikaru is baby.]
no subject
...they'll be out of eyeshot so there's no need to chase, so he will turn back around to the rice and kitties, and hopefully by the time hikaru comes back...
komaeda will have almost near perfect nekos for hikaru to come back to. it's because a few are missing whiskers, or eyes, but he seems almost satisfied with how they're nothing at all like he originally did, and he just wanted to play around since the other was gone. )
no subject
But that's for later, and Hikaru returns to the kitchen empty-handed. ]
Senpai says he'll— oh! These are cute. [ trotting over, when they spot the completed cats ] He said to give him a couple of hours and he'll have ten cloaks for us.
no subject
( like he's confused that's even said, but he focuses on the cloak conversation after. )
Ah, Lucifer-kun, how kind... how kind... he must like you a lot, that works out for us.
( because that means he can send hikaru in, and as long as the other is chipper about whatever they ask for, they should be able to get it. ) Goto-kun, why do you live in the dorms?
( he asks, handing the plate over to the other so their hands are no longer empty. )
no subject
It's an expression that dims, though, when Komaeda asks that question. The plate gets set down on the counter, and they go looking for plastic wrap to save these for later. ]
...Things aren't great at home, so I like it better here.
no subject
( you'd think komaeda would be more mindful considering the type of home he comes from, but no, he doesn't even think about it. instead, he wonders if saying something like that house will go up in flames, and then you can get a greater home would help. )
Did Saihara-kun know about what happened at home with you, or did you just choose to follow an Ultimate of his grace?
no subject
Nobody ever asks, so I don't talk about it much. I don't think Saihara knew either... At least I don't think so? [ Maybe he detectived his way into knowing? ] But he asked, so... I guess, yeah! I chose to follow him.
no subject
...Maybe he did, he was very talented... a bright light to us all, and his hope was practically the sun that shined here in this place. People relied on him, and they should! His talent was beautiful... maybe that's why he helped you...
( he did help people who didn't deserve it, but now he has to ask because apparently nobody asks. )
What was your home like... that made Saihara-kun bring you in...
no subject
Home is an apartment complex, actually. We lived on the sixth floor. Maybe he wanted to save me from all the stairs? There's so many people, sometimes taking the stairs is faster than taking the elevator.
no subject
...Why would he save you from that? Saihara-kun wouldn't be bothered by something so simple, there has to be something else.
( because... )
...He was kind. He wanted to help others so you must be in need.
no subject
Yeah, he was kind. I don't really get what I needed saving from, but I'm grateful that he asked. It's been fun. Everybody here is so weird, so it's been fun to watch. I'd rather stay at school forever, than go home.
