APRIL EVENT LOG/TDM
The opening ceremony starts at 8, with students and staff moving to the auditorium to sit with their homeroom class, calling characters out by name and dragging them over to their seat— physically if need be, and they're much stronger than they look. Much like the graduation ceremony, characters are not forced to come to the entrance ceremony, but the moment they take a seat, they find that they can neither speak nor get up again until the ceremony is over.
A teacher stands behind the podium on stage. Characters may recognize pieces of the speech from the previous year. He takes the time to welcome Yogen High's new students first, followed by acknowledging the transfer, returning, and repeat students. As he goes on, the teacher encourages students to instead focus on their own personal growth, and developing strong bonds that will allow them to reach their goals. He sighs as he explains that the Principal and Vice Principal are currently not available before he reminds students that violence is strictly prohibited and that there will be strict consequences for anyone who is caught engaging in misconduct.
The teacher concludes by noting that teachers will inform them of any important announcements. He wishes everybody a fulfilling school year, and reminds them that they have the power to shape the future. The ceremony concludes in a little under an hour, and the spell binding the students to their seats is broken, allowing everybody to rise and leave.
School lets out for the rest of the day with classes starting the next morning, and while many students take the opportunity to leave, some linger around the school.

Classes resume as usual, and it's the same old routine, with gossip and rumors spreading about, and students growing excited over new club advertisements, and fortune telling ads in addition to upcoming events. In an effort to encourage students to form lasting relationships, the school has set up events for the first week with plans for smaller events throughout the month. The PDA logs have been wiped clean with the start of the year, and all messages from before 04/05 are gone.
✽ Tuesday, 04/06 will be a simple Welcome Back. The day will be dedicated to giving important announcements, including the events for the rest of the week, introducing students to clubs, etc. There will be a potluck with various sweets and snack items, along with time dedicated to getting-to-know you style games and other such activities.
✽ Wednesday, 04/07 will feature the beginning of a Team Building Scavenger Hunt! There are no items to be found, but instead students are given a list of tasks to complete and turn into their homeroom teacher. Examples include introducing yourself to a new student, doing something nice for another student, being asked to identify a specific student who fits a certain criteria, anything that can be used to encourage interactions.
✽ Thursday, 04/08 will feature karaoke night in the music room. There is a karaoke machine set up along with a screen set up, along with some CDs with all the greatest hits of the 90ws. There is a decorative backdrop set up along with party decorations. There are inflatable music notes, cut out notes, microphones, record albums, and instruments taped along the wall, and a box full of props for students to use if they so choose.
✽ Friday, 04/09 will feature a game night held in class 1-B. Desks have been pushed together to form tables and covered in cloths, and various board and card games have been set out for students. There is a TV with an N64 and Playstation set out along with various games.
Outside of classes, the days wear on, and students come in with bruises and scraped knees and elbows and bloody noses. They smear blood on the walls and drip it onto the floor, splatter it onto the mirror without meaning to, bringing along with it a sense of vertigo. Characters looking in the mirror may find that they catch sight of something. It's there reflected in the mirror, a shadowy and dark figure in the edge of their vision, but it the moment they look away it disappears, leaving behind only a chill in the air. The mirror room is almost unbearably cold.

The mirror room is almost unbearably cold.
Characters who look in mirrors will see the shadowy figure reflected in it growing closer to them. It's an odd sight to be sure, and the cold air it brings with clings to the skin, but even as they draw close they seem to do no harm. It's only once they're right behind a character that they'll begin to notice it - the cold that clings to them no matter how warm the room, the faint tingling of their skin, the sleepiness that settles in, and the whispers in their ear.
It's faint at first, barely noticeable if not for its persistence, but over time those whispers will grow louder; the coolness on their skin will turn into a cold that chills them down to the bone, and the unrested feeling becomes a constant fatigue and lethargy. The words and tone vary, as do the voices, but each and every one eats into the character. They might speak of a character's insecurities or guilt, or they might leave them with a sinking loneliness, or perhaps they promise the warmth and companionship that a character desires, or any other number of matters that so often tug at the mind.
The figures can be viewed through mirrors. Those with supernatural sight or an adderstone will similarly be able to see them following characters, latching onto them. Items that ward off the supernatural may help, but the only way to truly ward them off is with bonds formed in the school. The figures seem to be warded off by the presence of another person. The cold disappears with the slightest touch, the whispering stops during conversation, and for that time they're given a brief reprieve. But they often seem to come back the moment a person passes by a mirror once more.

✽ The shadowy figures will appear more frequently where there is blood, fresh or otherwise.
✽ Characters who are isolated will find that they are more susceptible to being followed by the figures, and it may take longer interactions to dispel them completely.
✽ Items from the student shop that ward off supernatural creatures will aide in keeping the shadows from getting too close at first, but their effectiveness will wear off the longer a character is followed. They seem to be most effective when used in conjunction with interactions with others, and especially others who have similar items (i.e. a character with a silver cross and a character with a gold chain.)

YOGEN HIGH
Satoko Houjou | Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni
[ Satoko doesn’t leave when the ceremony concludes.
For a moment, she doesn’t even stand up. She isn’t even sure if she can. But it’s no surprise that she’s so shocked… After all, a whole lifetime’s worth of memories has just returned to her – memories that until now, were somehow, inexplicably gone.
She has no doubt that they’re real. But at the same time… her time in this school feels real, too – she can vaguely remember faces, and even names, but… that doesn’t make any sense. They can’t both be real. So… which set of memories are a lie?
Afraid, Satoko sits there, feeling overwhelmed by the sounds of people talking and the weight of the memories in her mind. Thinking about it, she can’t really remember why and how she even arrived at this school, and as she realizes that, an icy fear grips her heart, leaving her feeling ill with fear. It’s not right. None of this is right!
Yes, it’s… this school. This school has to be the lie – that’s the only thing that makes sense! Eventually, Satoko stands, an anxiety written on her face that makes her look sick, as she desperately tries to figure out what she should do. Should she leave- can she even leave? How would she get back to Hinamizawa? And despite everything, throughout it all, there’s a persistent nagging fear in the back of her mind – that she’s wrong, and it’s Hinamizawa that’s the lie. After all, she remembers this school – doesn’t she? ]
Ahh, I don’t understand! [ She mutters to herself, almost on the verge of tears. She manages to blink them away, but the tightness in her chest is only growing stronger. ] What on earth… am I even thinking?
GAMES NIGHT.
Ohohoho! I do hope you’re ready for me to defeat you all!
[ Satoko laughs haughtily as she prematurely declares her victory over the rest of the students in class 1-B. She seems awfully confident, and there’s clearly been a drastic change in her attitude compared to how she was a few days ago!
The moment she heard about the games night, Satoko knew she had to attend. And to her delight, it’s more than lived up to her expectations so far! There are all kinds of games set up for her to partake in; both familiar and unfamiliar, old and new, and there’s enough of a competitive spirit in the room to keep things exciting, too. In fact, Satoko’s not quite sure where to start, with the number of choices available to her. And so… ]
I wonder if anyone here is brave enough to be my opponent? No matter the game, I guarantee you I won’t lose!
[ …She declares, a smug smile on her face. Will you take her up on her challenge? ]
04/10 – 04/30 ]
[ The voices won’t stop.
Over and over again, they tell her she’s weak. That she hasn’t changed from how she was a year ago at all; that she’s still a burden, someone who’ll never change, no matter how hard she tells herself she’s trying. …They accuse her of all kinds of things… and no matter how hard she tries to ignore them, Satoko can’t help but wonder if they’re true. The reason she’s trying to become strong… is it really so that Satoshi won’t suffer anymore? Or does she just selfishly want him back, want him to be proud of her, without caring about what he wants at all?
The kind Rena-san reminds her of her sins. Keiichi-san, her new nii-nii, tells her she can’t ignore the past. …Even now, though, she doesn’t hear Satoshi’s voice. After all, he’s gone, isn’t he? He doesn’t want to speak to her again, not even in a place like this.
And she’s so tired. Both physically and emotionally, she’s exhausted – the thought of doing anything at all sounds like far too much effort, and that only makes her hate herself all the more. How can she claim she’s strong, when just a few voices are enough to put her in such a state? Looking at herself in the mirror, Satoko stares at her reflection… and speaks to herself, unaware that she isn’t alone. ]
Enough… I understand, already. I already know… how much I hurt him…
WILCARD.
[ Feel free to throw anything at Satoko here! I'm available at
opening ceremony
But without thinking much more about it, she scrambles to race to her, to someone who's the most important to her...]
... Satoko?
[Her voice shakes and cracks. And for once, she doesn't sound like the teen that she looks like, or even the hundred year looper that she should be. No, there's the childish intones as well.]
That's really you, right?
[Not a dream, a hallucination--the real Houjou Satoko.]

But it's so weird to have things feel like 'business as usual'.
She was expecting the worst out of all of this, so it just hits her like a proverbial truck that it's literally nothing.
Well, thank fuck, but at the same time--is this just the calm before the storm?]
↳ option one ( closed to third years )
[Ugh.
After the fiasco that was "being stuck in a maid outfit", she absolutely dreads having in involve herself in any further group projects. And yet, here she is, sighing deeply.
If you're a third year transfer student, maybe you're the one that's wound up paired up with her and while there's a part of her that's so deeply irritated at this development--
--like, why are they flipping the script in the beginning of the school year?--
Well. Maybe it's because it's the beginning of the school year that they're doing this, but still. It's odd. Nevertheless, she smiles in a way that's uncharacteristic for those who have seen her in the past.]
Well, if we're going to do a group project together, we're going to make this the best one in the class, got it? So you better not hold me back.
↳ option two
[Bonding events are totally not her thing, and she definitely wasn't the type to show up and participate in them, but for those who come to karaoke night, they'll see Inaba show up, check the music, decide on a single song--
Mic drop, and then walk out.
Peace.
Someone probably should ask her what the hell was that about, why is she leaving, excuse me???]
↳ option three
[Once the mysterious shadowy figures seem to set into the school and she notices it, the fatigue hits. Of course, being someone who already struggles with sleeping, this is something that makes her feel worse, even when she decides to drink more caffinated drinks.
The coldness too is being offset with more layers, with her wearing blanket upon blankets during the afterschool hours.
And then there's the whispers, mocking her about how alone she is and feels. How she clings onto a life that's far, far gone. To a person who isn't here. Words such as "you're dead, you're here, he's not, he might still be alive, he might be dating someone else by now" and repetitions of that.
It eats away at her and while she's used to hearing voices - not that she'd actually thank Heartseed for the phenomena - and tries to ignore it all.
Ignore what they're saying, she thinks. This is just like those weirdass dreams. If I don't react to them, they'll go away eventually, out of disinterest.
But even if the words don't cling to her proverbially, there are other factors in play, too.
Those in her class will notice that she's yawning quite frequently and while she does answer when called for any questions, her voice is much more drawn out than usual. And given how she tends to isolate herself for long periods of time, there are times when she basically almost collapses on her feet. She can't help but laugh to herself about all of this, though. And those in the halls just might overhear it as she clutches onto her magatama pendant as if her life depends on it.]
Ha... I wonder if this really is a sign that I should stop relying on you...
[It's a cold, bitter laugh as she says those words, leaning against a wall as if it'd help stabilize her footing. She's probably fine, though, don't worry about it. Or do.]
↳ option wildcard
[Want something else? I'm pretty much open for most things. Inaba can generally be found frequently in the library, nurse's office, workshop and cooking rooms most frequently outside of her classroom, although honestly feel free to meet her in other locations. She doesn't really go to the dorms that often and can be found sleeping in various locations of the school each day. It's always a different room every day, there's no exact rhyme or reason for it.
tsundereban!]
More specific plotting can be done via PM, Discord (Len#9692), my plotting post or hitting me up at
3
So when she sees Inaba muttering to herself and staggering in the hall, Nanami's there at her side, resting a hand on Inaba's back. ]
It's okay. It's just you and me. Hey, do you wanna play a game?
[ She gestures to the GGA tucked under her arm, stuck on a pause screen. ]

Tsumugi Shirogane | Danganronpa V3
Ah... huh. [Tsumugi trails off with an astonished mutter, staring around the room and blinking slowly. This was... Sure something, huh. The familiarity of it all is almost unnerving, really.]
This isn't the sort of isekai adventure I thought I'd be part of. I'm pretty sure I've read manga like this before. Or maybe it's like that one anime, with the kids trapped in the school, but it's actually purgatory?
[She brushes her skirts of and stands there, staring thoughtfully into space, looking much more like a mannequin stuck there than a person. The problem is that she's definitely in the way, so maybe try to encourage her to move...]
[B. 08:00 04/06-04/09]
[Perhaps you've been asked to find a student who meets requirements that Tsumugi fits? She can be found wandering the halls, staring at the list she has, or looking at the club offers.]
Is there a sewing club, or a cosplay club, or something like that...? I guess if I have to join a club, something like that or a manga club would be nice. I am the Ultimate Cosplayer, after all...
[What does that even mean 'Mugi...]
[C. Mirror, Mirror.]
Eep! [Tsumugi flinches away from a mirror, shivering violently. The whispers in her ear are almost too much-- whispers of failures, or disappointments. She tries not to listen, not wanting to be reminded of what happened shortly before she came this strange school.
She clamps her hands over her ears and crouches down, squeezing her eyes shut]
S-stop! Be quiet! Leave me alone!
[D. Wildcard]
[Obligatory wildcard! Tsumugi is from the ending of DRV3, but I'll avoid spoilers unless they come up directly in a thread. I'll warn for them!]

[It's the start of a brand new school year, and Kiyotaka Ishimaru files into the auditorium for the opening ceremony. It's a strange feeling to start a new year here, as it mean that it has not been over one year since he first arrived in this school. He remembers that time, and the denial he lived in. He had convinced himself that he must have succeeded in escaping Hope's Peak Academy and found shelter in a different school. But the truth, the brutal reality of the situation eventually hit him from several different angles. He learned that this was an environment rife with its own brand of violence and murder. He was forced into a deathmatch in which he stood as the blood-stained victor. Many friends were made and lost. And he's been forced to face the basic facts of this situation: that he is dead, and this is the afterlife.
But from that, he has rebuilt. He's become the president of the student council, and he's been working to make the lives of the students here better. Now he knows a truer purpose, to work hard at improving himself and helping his fellow students to do the same. So it's with a greater sense of peace that he sits to listen to the opening ceremony. there's still some tension, some fear, some dread, as part of him will always worry about some horrible new danger coming out of nowhere. But for the moment, his fears are unfounded. In fact, the teacher's speech speaks to him. Personal growth... strong bonds... the power to shape the future... and a condemnation of violence.
Sure, it's just the words of one teacher. There is still the threat of further discord and destruction among the student body. But hearing this voiced by an official of the school as part of the ceremong that ushers in the school year? That's enough for Ishimaru to believe. To hope. Tears build up in his eyes, and once he can move again, he swiftly rises to deliver a standing ovation.]
That was beautifully said! Now let us do our best to make those sentiments a reality. Let us all work hard and do our best for the sake of a peaceful school year!
B.
[It's an exciting week for Ishimaru. Not only does he get to attend classes again, there's also several days of bonding exercises to go through! Now that sounds like a good step to him, towards building up existing friendships and making new ones. One never knows when new faces may suddenly become apparent in the school, after all! He'll take part in every activity held throughout the week:
- During the Team Building Scavenger Hunt, Ishimaru will dutifully seek out people listed in his instructions! Perhaps he needs to do a good deed for someone, in which case he will follow them from a few yards back until he finds any opportunity, no matter how small, to swoop in and help! Or perhaps he has to introduce himself to a new student - in which case, the moment he sees someone he doesn't recognize, he will make a beeline directly towards them to introduce himself, bombastically: "I am Kiyotaka Ishumaru! I am your current student council president, and I was also known as the Ultimate Public Morals Committee Member at my previous school. I believe in bold simplicity, and I follow the path of hard work! Let's get along as we embark on our education crusade!"
- On karaoke night, Ishimaru feels less confident. He's not exactly a practiced singer, and he knows that karaoke can be considered to be an intimate activity, but this is fine. This is just another team-building exercise. He can do this! Gripping a microphone tightly, he tries to sort through a number of CDs that he knows nothing about!
- And then there's game night. At least he has more practice when it comes to games! He might seek out a strategy-based board game to set up, or he could be seen studying the rules to a card game. Or eventually he'll make his way to the television, to try some rounds of video games! Feel free to join him.]
C.
[Some students have been so messy! Ishimaru frowns, disoriented somewhat by the sight of blood on one of the mirrors. Despite the feeling of vertigo, he wields a cloth to try to clean it! But he pauses as he looks into the mirror, because he's sure that... he sees something. A shadow in the mirror. A darkness.
Not only that, he feels a chill throughout his whole body. It's like his energy is leaving him! And at the same time, he feels whispers dragging him down.
Idiot. Do you really think you're making a difference? The murders will continue, and you'll be as helpless as ever to stop any of them. No one's getting better. Not even you. If you think you've changed even a single bit, that just proves what a fool you really are...
Ishimaru winces and tries his best to ignore the voice while making feeble attempts at continuing his cleaning.]
D. Wildcard

[After that rebriefing by Nene, Kokichi's far more aware of his surroundings. Trusting of them? No. Never. Perish the thought. But he's aware and that's what matters. He's here by himself - apart from Kaede, who he hasn't seen yet, and Nene, who he's given the tiniest sliver of trust since she got him up to speed.
Still, this means he's yawning, trying to make an effort to seem bored when he's actually paying attention.]
Ugh. Why can't we get up...
[He's also wriggling in his seat. He hates being trapped.
Free him.]B is for Bonding Exercises
What a crock of shit.
[That's the first thing Kokichi dryly says, after being handed his list of tasks. For the Scavenger Hunt, he's probably crumpled the paper up into a paper airplane and is boredly sitting at a desk, flying it around his head. Better that than go do these backpatting exercises. As if.
Karaoke Night, however, is an entirely different story. He's rifling through the CDs, cackling to himself as he pulls out all the ones that he thinks could be some level of memetic. And then he holds one up like a treasure, and slowly lowers it to his mouth, kissing it.]
My precious. My precious Backstreet's Back. It is time.
[He's gonna do it. He's definitely gonna do it unless someone stops him, because he's completely certain this is the best way to make his presence known once more.
Game Night has Kokichi immediately wide-eyed, bolting for the N64 and rifling through the games.]
Gimmie Conker's Bad Fur Day. C'mon, c'mon....Goldeneye, at least....
[He's gonna pick Oddjob if he plays Goldeneye and he's going to have no shame in it because he is That Guy. Of course, he could also be dragged into playing other games...]
C is for Cold
[It's not like Kokichi hasn't taken notice of the oddities going around. The scraped up students. The cold air. The whispers. He doesn't care about the cold. It's the mocking whispers that get to him.]
Why don't you remember? Why weren't you truly here if you cared?
[It doesn't help that he's imagining them being from Shuichi.]
Oma-kun. Oma-kun. Oma-kun.
[He grits his teeth as he walks down the hall, the whispering continuing to bounce through his mind.]
You know what you've done. You'll never apologize. You don't have the courage. You're a coward, that's what you are. A waste.
[And that's when he shoves someone to the side roughly.]
Get out of my way.

It's nothing of interest, really, as they all gossip amongst each other and speak of the upcoming events and clubs - really, the only thing of interest about her is the hazel eyes and the way part of her hair is pulled back in a teal scrunchie - really, something barely noticeable amongst the crowd of students with black hair and brown eyes that fade in and out of one's attention without ever truly committing to memory.
She places her index finger just beneath her bottom lip as she examines the board, her head bobbing from left to right. ]
Whaaat... It's the same as last year...
[ There's a little huff. Then, as though just now realizing it: ]
Oh, wait... What happened to the vice principal...? Hey, hey, do you know~? Did she finally elope!? Ooh, I heard that her and the principal were secretly a thing, you know...!?
[ Who is she asking? Maybe the person next to her. Maybe you. Who knows. Either way, she seems pretty excited about that idea. ]
b. throughout the school (remainder of the month)
[ The girl from the opening ceremony can be found wandering throughout the school for the rest of the month. She seems to be in room 1-D, in the Computer Science class, and the workshop after class. She rests her hand in her palm during classes and doodles during boring lectures, spaces out, and tends to wander while looking at pages of something or another as she passes out through doors and throughout the hallway mumbling to herself about this and that - it wouldn't be wrong to assume she's the spacey type of person who wastes their intellect due to focusing on their attention on other things.
In particular, she seems to have a knack for programming and engineering, and can frequently be found complaining about the "ancient technology" present int the school while in the workshop.
More importantly, if she has the chance, she'll gossip to you about other students, romance, who's seeing who, and other such affairs. Please come to her with all your gossip, and for your gossip needs. ]

[ hit me up at
@nagito komaeda, 04/07
Except that's not what happens today. Maybe it's because she's been so focused on the start of the year, attempting to get to know the new students and transfers and thanking Shin, but she didn't even notice him there - no, she doesn't notice Komaeda at all until her dipped head hits against his chest and she scrambles back. Her face flushes as she looks up and sees who it is, her gaze darting to the side, her grip on the paper containing various upcoming events tightening.
That should be enough humiliation for one day, except there goes the strap of her bag - it clatters to the floor, and various pens and pencils and other utensils scatter about the floor loudly. If that weren't enough, the way that the desk she knocks into tips over and somehow tips into another and makes a complete mess of the classroom will be. It's tipped desk and utensils and leftover notebooks and desks and chairs, and it's so noisy that she's certain the entire school hear tit.
...
Ahhh, she wants to die... But no! She has to play it cool, so, best to pretend that none of that happened, despite her red face and inability to keep eye contact...! ]

Chiaki Nanami | Danganronpa
[ The very first bonding exercise is a game. How could she possibly get so lucky?? But it's a game about making bonds with new friends... those are harder. She still loves them though.
All day Wednesday, Nanami'll be running around with a clipboard - maybe she's dragged you along to ask questions of random students. Or maybe she'll approach you specifically. ]
Excuse me!! Can I ask you a question? Are you... [ Wait, she has to check her notes. She squints at the clipboard. ] If you could only eat one food on a desert island for the rest of your life, what would it be?
[ These are weird questions... ]
04/09: Truth or Dare?
[ Either somebody roped her into this, or she heard it was a type of game she'd never tried before, and she was just too curious. Either way, Nanami definitely feels like she's in over her head.
But it's all for the sake of bonding!! And that's the most important thing. So with a resolute look, she turns to you and asks. ] Okay, so... truth or dare?
Rest of the month: Out of It
[ It's impossible to miss the whispers. She notices it most in between classes, walking by herself as she plays her Game Girl Advance with one of the new games she got for her birthday.
It's her classmates, it's her teacher, it's the mastermind, all calling to her, asking where she is, when she'll come back to them. She'll stop in the middle of the hallway, shake herself, and try to keep going - trying to ignore the not-quite-voices.
Or maybe you're the one in trouble. Maybe you can't keep from hearing them, maybe you're seeing things in mirrors... something's distracting you, something's calling you. And out of nowhere, Nanami's there in front of you. ]
Hey! Do you wanna play the next round? [ She pushes the Game Girl Advance under your nose, distracting you from those idle thoughts. Game on? ]
Wildcard!
[ Feel free to rope Nanami into any other bonding event or situation you'd like! She can also be found at the game night on 04/09, so you can also meet her there. ]

It’s freezing in the school, and at first Shin thinks it might be a last-second cold snap, winter leaving spring something else to make them all miserable apart from all the off and on showers of rain. He shivers as he passes in the hallways, new bag over his shoulder, jacket drawn in close, and hopes he isn’t getting a cold when his breath mists.
Then the whispers start. It’s particularly bad late at night when he’s alone in the shop, especially since things have been knocking themselves off shelves lately, so Shin’s frustration is easy pickings in tying it into his deeper concerns. His feelings of inadequacy, the guilt he hides even from himself, his confliction between the desire to connect and the fear of making mistakes, an untapped well of simmering anger and heartbroken resentment sitting in his gut like the lava chamber of a dormant volcano. For some reason, touching the gold chain and bringing out the compass dangling on the end makes it back off a bit, which is what clued Shin into the fact this isn’t just his mind at work, but it’s been working less and less. He’s somehow even more unhappily hunched in on himself when out and about, and you might be able to catch him muttering ‘shut up’ at the air with vehemence and then him stutteringly apologizing if he thinks you think he’s directed it at you.
Mirrors are hard to avoid when they’re in all the bathrooms and he’s trying not to look, not to acknowledge, but his gaze can’t help but flick up and the figure tilts its head and places it’s palm on the glass, causing him to jolt back and then glance around to see if anyone saw that.]
B. whoaaooaa we’re halfway there
[Shin’s reaction to most of the bonding activities scattered around is avoidance, partly because they’re setting off a part of his brain that’s making comparisons to Attractions, but also from just social awkwardness. It’s not hard to catch him in one or convince him though, especially since they make the whispering take a break, and after a certain point he might just be fully immersed in it. If he knows you he might even approach you about one! …as long as it doesn’t have anything resembling truth or dare in it.
A case in point, karaoke… which should be his worst nightmare, but drunk on enough encouragement Shin will take the stage… metaphorically at least unless we somehow have acquired an actual stage. His voice starts out a little uncertain, feeling out the song, but he quickly gets really into it, forgetting he’s being watched and losing himself in the music, one fist rolled in towards his chest and the other holding the mike. His voice is actually pretty good! Quiet and soft but clear, with only a faint rasp if you’re really listening.
It’s a good song, too! He blinks as it ends and reality sinks back in, turning his head.]
Ahaha, anyone want to do a duet? [There’s a competitive gleam in his eye; he’s actually having fun.] Just don’t be surprised if you lose…

chiaki nanami (ai) | danganronpa
[ The Vice Principal is gone, and in her place stands a teacher. The speech drones on, covering various issues from the past year and emphasizing the importance of personal growth and forming strong bonds. It's nostalgic in a way, reminding her of the beginning of her school trip. That, too, should have been about students connecting with each other, and it similarly went off the rails - albeit that was forced by external factors.
There's something uncomfortable about thinly veiled promise of of punishment, a word that could mean anything from a slap on the wrist for execution, but an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind, and it seems as though there should be a better option than retaliation. But Nanami can go nothing but watch and listen until the end, quiet and thoughtful as she processes the odd mix of encouragement and threats. ]
... What do you think they meant by "consequences?"
b. scavenger hunt - 04/07 - 04/09
[ Nanami has been going through the list, attempting this and that, asking questions and otherwise engaging in festivities. Throughout the week she'll approach others to see if they might not assist her, and if they agree she'll go through the options she has left in order to find one that's agreeable for both of them. But there's one in particular that gives her pause, and she reads it a couple times, blinking before slowly reading it off, ]
It says, "trace the hands of you and a friends on the whiteboard and turn them into the cutest family of hand-turkeys that anyone ever did see..."
[ The first part is self-explanatory, as it involves simply tracing one's hand. The latter might as well be written in a foreign language for as much as she's able to take away from it. ]
Hand turkeys... Oh, I get it... Maybe...
[ She repeats those words a little slowly, in an uncertain voice.
...
...
Whatever she's imagining is definitely not they actually are. ]
c. game night - 04/09
[ It's no surprise that the Ultimate Gamer would attend game night. She'll be trying out the various games and inviting people to play with her. She knows the majority, but there's a few that are new to her. The console games less so, as she sits in front of the TV with a controller. There's a second controller plugged in, though it doesn't seem to be in use,and if she sees someone approach she'll scoot over to make room and pat the space beside her to indicate for them to join. ]
... Do you want to play too? This one is more fun with two players.
d. various - 04/10 - 04/30
[ It's a cold that freezes a person right down to the core, leaving even the heart stopped in place by layers of ice. It's a loneliness that spreads throughout the mind, steadily draining a person of every last bit of motivation and desire. It's like everything's slipping away from her, as though even if those few people she has here are slipping out of her grasp, their hands pulling out of her own as they move forward while she's still rooted in place.
Nanami has always been a sleepy girl, perhaps even one that others could mistake as a little spacey if they only scratched the surface, but even compared to that she's particularly off. She rubs her eyes throughout the day, yawning and growing distracted. One can find her spacing out while staring in the mirror with tired eyes, or blankly at the screen of the arcade game in the dorms - Twilight Syndrome - moving through the murders that have occurred one after another in some vain effort to try and find an answer without having found the question to ask.
Or one might find her asleep in some odd place or another - sleeping standing up in front of said mirror, or maybe in that doorway that you need to get through, or sitting in front of your locket with a bit of drool on the corner of her mouth. Then again, maybe she's lucky and just dozed off by the wisteria tree (hopefully not getting rained on.) Endless possibilities. But regardless of where she is, that cold remains, and she trembles despite the warm weather. ]

[ Pick your poison, or contact me at
D
Plus, she's fresh off of bonding activities that were WAY more fun than this, and she's got new games to play... she's very distracted, is all.
Not distracted enough, though, to not notice her sister slumped in front of her locker, legs sprawled out in the middle of the hall. Nanami very nearly tripped over her, but now she just stares for a bit, coming back to reality and taking in the sight in front of her. And the first thing she notices is the shivering. ]
Hey, hey. [ She kneels down by her sister and gently pulls at her shoulder to wake her up. Then she pulls off her hoodie and wraps it around the girl's front to give her more warmth. ] It's crowded here... let's get you somewhere softer to nap, okay?

alice yabusame | your turn to die
[ Fostering lasting bonds should be a positive goal — it shouldn't seem dubious — but something about this school organizing a variety of exercises for that purpose resembles games bartering trust. At least the stakes aren't quite so high, unless they're all being kept in the dark. There are no creepy opponents to avoid or defeat, and they don't face death during any activity or hanging over their heads, awaiting anyone who performs poorly. Everything should be straightforward and harmless.
Such as the scavenger hunt, which might require a joint effort, much like overcoming deadly tasks, but paper cuts are the worst threat that the lists pose. Alice can be seen with one such sheet of paper fastened to a clipboard, pen in hand, as he makes his rounds to cross items off one by one. Now and again, he pauses to frown at a few, or to glance around for the trail of clues to follow, or he strides over to others to seek out. ]
Share an unexpected piece of information about yourself. The instructions demand it, you see...
[ Then comes karaoke night, something familiar and nostalgic — though here, obviously everyone is sober. By now, the week's activities have become less off-putting, and the music room thrums with the proof. It's fun to watch and to participate, swept along; if he's challenged to a singing contest, Alice won't back down! No matter what song is chosen, his voice will ring out undaunted! Luckily, he isn't a bad singer...
Having spent some time playing games with Chiaki Nanami on several occasions, Alice doesn't object to attending the game night, either. Perhaps he'll have better luck this time, and win any round of any game! Even if it doesn't look like it just yet. ]
b. 04/10-04/30 shadows
[ As the days pass, it's as if the spreading chill and haunted mirrors set out to undo everything accomplished during the first week of the month. Determined though Alice may be to avoid looking at his reflection, after one spooky shadow sighting, it's impossible — particularly given the question of what to do about the ruined stripes in his hair. He restricts himself to quick glances whenever he needs to use a mirror, but even then that figure draws closer each time. The whispers are relentless, and the cold creeps under his skin, settling there.
He's not the only one, but the voices don't say anything that he hasn't thought himself. Lately, his mind keeps wandering back to those things over and over — there is no silencing them. That locker room, the weight of a realization taking shape. The selfishness of fleeing from pain.
It all takes its toll, and around school, Alice is on edge at first, quiet later, his thoughts elsewhere. Paying little attention to his surroundings, he might be to blame for any collisions before long. ]

C, 4/11
trash like him knowing the importance of their lives means he's dirtying it even more— alice, add, and so on, once they find out they'll probably scold him, or even worse. it's not like komaeda can peel pain that well, but he doubts they would torture him. truthfully, they wouldn't do any of these incriminating actions, and it's just the negative part of his mind at work considering he likes these specific people so much that he's unable to express it without worry that something may happen to them.
add already hates him, and soon alice will too... his nails leave behind crescent moon shapes in the map that he's holding, and (un)luckily enough, he manages to bump into someone by the wisteria tree since his head was kept down while reading. knocked back a few steps, he doesn't even look up to see who he's bumped into. )
Ahaha... forgive me, a disgusting ant like me should be easy to avoid bumping into.
( it's said easily as he keeps his eyes on the paper, and he hums, he just has to go this direction to get to the forest and then... it's an early morning, he should be able to make it. )

It helps you learn about a person, it can brew hope if done correctly.
( he removes himself off of rio now, giving him space as he finally notices the ice cream card. ah, that's no good, it's sitting happily in the middle with no real feelings on the concept, but it's not like he won't indulge in it. he could give him a personal prize, one self-made that it would be worth it.
there's a lot to work with. )
So your first one is... an instrument? Mary Anne can play a bit of the piano. ( he probably can't play it well, but what matters is someone who can play an instrument, and it shouldn't matter if they're good or bad. ) Akamatsu-san can, too.
( so can komaeda, but this is about reaching out and learning about others. it's a good chance to try and stick a needle through ripped fabric and bring it back together so it's beautiful and warm once more, hence why he mentioned alice first before kaede.
he loves his ultimates, would point them out first, yet he realizes they need a change of pace. )
