Nope.
[ Let him have his secrets. Curiosity is how you keep people coming back, the same tactic npckun uses, but Rokkun's case is more... Yeah, he doesn't want to say. ]
I got tired of dying. I'm not going to let this place have its way with me anymore, that's all.
[ He's going to destroy the place because it pisses him off. It wasn't that hard of a decision. ]
no subject
( curiosity isn't even what keeps komaeda here, what keeps him here is the other's hope, that one aspect that always draws him closer. it's a make or break deal, and always has been. to learn why rokkun does what he does is a plus, and besides... this is supposed to be about him anyway. )
...Rokkun, you know you can tell me things, don't you... ( how long did it take to even get him to talk about what's on his mind, he's so guarded... there's a reason for it, but even komaeda wants to stick his fingers in the wound to see him bleed. )
How do we dismantle it, I mean it when I say I want to help you... but sitting by idly isn't my thing... let's blow up the tree.
( ...he could also kill himself, listen, he has to be active or he just doesn't care anymore. )
no subject
[ He died, he thinks. Sometimes an invisible gardener will come out of nowhere and slaughter you for even considering it. ]
no subject
So we have to do something you've never done before...
( it's hard when he doesn't know all that the other has done, or what he should know if komaeda's periodically appeared in this school in the past or whatever. )
Maybe you could have placed influence through the student council... you should have tried for it.
no subject
No way. Never again. I can't stand being in that room.
no subject
I didn't know you were on the team, Rokkun... you don't look like the type. ( kinder, ) Did you hate the authority, or lack thereof?
( he's curious!! )
no subject
[ Excuse him? he's a model student to those who don't know better, thank you. ]
I was the authority, and then I got offed and I wasn't anymore.
[ It was a very brief reign, before somebody Aiko'd him. ]
no subject
( whoo, let komaeda crawl up above rokkun so he can sit like... behind his head, and that way he can look down at him. )
Why does it seem like that group has a lot going on...
( is that why rokkun said the student council was cursed like months ago? aside from that, komaeda's going to reach out and drag his index finger along the curve of rokkun's neck at the mention of being "offed"... hm. )
no subject
He catches Komaeda's hand and his punishment for being weird is that Rokkun's going to hold it. ]
Student council places a target on your back, and it really isn't worth the trouble. Did you want to join? There's a lot of paperwork.
no subject
( he'd rather not have a target on his back, which may also seem odd, but the thing is he doesn't want to die hopelessly, and being part of the council seems that way —
as rokkun holds his hand, he states at it like he's confused by it. )
...You signed a contract, didn't you? What was yours like?
( since they're talking about paperwork, and komaeda will just try and lace his fingers with rokkun's own. )
no subject
It was something like... oh, it was a long time ago. "If I survive to the end of the school year, you will let me blow up the school." Something like that.
[ It didn't happen. ]
no subject
...To be part of the student council as the leader, you're given a wish... basically, and the school sees that contract through?
( it... sounds like one for example, and he lost it by dying, but komaeda wonders if that was really is since it was a long time ago... has his attempts been messy before this school year? )
I want you to think Rokkun, and I'll reward you... do you recall Okane-san's contract, and would you know Arisu-san's?
( he'll lean forward a bit, licking his own bottom lip like he's willing to risk it all right now. )
no subject
Sort of... It has to be about the school in some way, or the students.
[ So not a selfish wish. "I want everybody to escape this hell school and go home back to their exact same life before their death" is kind of skirting the line, but the price would be a lot heftier than Rokkun's wish for destruction. Or maybe whoever he contracted with just had no faith he'd survive more than a month and let him propose whatever he wanted. ]
Usually the presidents aren't able to disclose their contracts, or it's void. You get to know the contract for whoever you replaced, so Maya would know Aiko's, at least.
no subject
...Hm, well, then a wish is pushing it if... it's shackle to the school in general, sighs... I wonder what it would have been like to see you succeed.
( he looks up now, leaning up like he's gained his answer, but since it's not what he wanted, he doesn't feel the need to risk it all. though, he can't be too disappointed, rokkun is working with him on this, and he'll bring the other's hand up to his cheek, leaning it against his cold skin like a reward for talking. )
What was the contract like before you?
no subject
Also he's feeling very much like a dog getting petted for doing a trick and he's not sure how to feel about that. ]
Something about ensuring all surviving third years are able to graduate, I think... I don't remember what the price was, but she ended up failing.
no subject
...You've been here longer than most of us, do you believe Arisu-san has the students best interest in mind... considering what you want to do... kill them all for freedom... do you think she'll cause conflict with your goal?
( it's more of a do you think you and maya have the same ideals in line? then again, maybe if they did, they'd actually be friends, but komaeda distinctly remembers rokkun telling him to stay away from hiro, so you know. )
no subject
Hm.
[ It's a "I trust her as far as I can throw her" hm, except he could probably make good distance. ]
I think she's trying to fix a system that's too far gone.
[ Like she believes she can change the rules, and make this place into the school it used to be. Rokkun just wants to demolish it completely. ]
no subject
( that's interesting, how lucky, actually, who knew komaeda's actions brought about that type — it does remind him of when npckun mentioned that someone was a good leader for the school or something, and now komaeda really believes that was maya. considering no one wanted to vote for her. )
She's very well-liked among our peers, you know... would you want her to be successful?
( despite his goal is heavily different from hers. )
no subject
[ Her? And not him who has carefully cultivated this senpai persona that's supposed to be convincing if not for the fact that it's him? Surely he's doing better than Maya. ]
no subject
( he leans forward, sighing softly as his head hurts just a little, it's the sun. )
You hate people around you... you're selective, being noticed isn't your forte, but people are still drawn to that. Unlike Arisu-san, she gives way to moments where she can be bothered by the people, as for you... you're well guarded, you play a role to those that look up to you if they don't know you... people might find it hard to speak with someone who is distant and doesn't want to be spoken to...
( he sighs and he's going to try and lift rokkun's head so it can settle in his lap. )
But then again... it's a selective few that likes her, so you two could be in the same boat, now it comes down to the morality of others. Things like that...
no subject
...It doesn't matter if I'm hated, as long as I'm doing what I think is right. It's not like I don't care, though...
[ He cares... about people as a concept. Maya cares about the individual. Maybe that's where they differ the most. ]
no subject
( he's been around rokkun enough, from the start komaeda had taken him for some easy, country bumpkin that had too much time spent thinking up fantasies in his head. now, it's a little stronger than that, it's probably why he let's rokkun into his lap, why he allows him to do whatever he wants to his body, why he enjoys his company even if things aren't perfect — they aren't, but as long as they have hope, it's fine. )
You're doing this because you care, I just wonder... who is the arrow in whose Achilles' heel...
( and because rokkun cares, it's why he's worked so hard alone, he could be the only person who cares this much, but... )
I care, too, to see you prosper... to see you happy.
( no one can hear them, so it's fine to say these things without concern of someone turning their head to acknowledge them. )
no subject
And then there's the other way around. ]
...Yeah, I wonder who it is, the one person who would be my downfall.
[ plurk pact ]
no subject
Hm... There's all sort of people.
( the young, the old, the crippled and the abled... anyone has a shot at deterring rokkun off the path that he's after, but he feels as if the other's hope is strong enough to overcome whatever may be thrown at him. besides, who could be his downfall? aha... )
If you remember your lives this well, make sure you remember them, and then... you can get...
( leans... )
them...
( leans to cup rokkun's face to keep it straight enough to face him. )
back.
( leans enough to give him a quick peck on the lips, because he does deserve his reward.
me 🤝 you
plurk pact )
no subject
he also has no idea who Komaeda is talking about and all higher thought processes stop at the kiss that doesn't last as long as he hoped and you know what I realized this feeling is like? it's like when something good happens and Komaeda has to brace himself for bad luck being imminent, that is exactly how I feel all the time ]
