02/07 - 02/11 School Trip
✽ At 8AM sharp on Monday the 7th, all students are asked to gather in the auditorium to go over the school trip to Tokyo DisneySea; those who decide to stay at school, however, are instructed to attend school as normal and use their days as a study hall or free period. Those grades won't keep themselves up, after all.
✽ Those who are going on the field trip will be given the rundown: they'll be staying at DisneySea for five days and four nights, at the Hotel MiraCosta located inside the park. They'll be lead in lines to the front gate of the school, consciousness wavering as they pass through the open gates, and they open their eyes to find themselves in the parking lot of Tokyo DisneySea, sluggish and drowsy, as if they'd dozed off and had just awoken from a very, very long drive. Characters will have to wait in line for quite some time, with the rate of it moving at an achingly slow 0.00000005 miles per hour (or so it feels) before they're able to get their tickets to the park, a knife, and their complimentary map to guide the way.
✽ Welcome to Disney! DisneySea, to be precise! Made up of seven different port areas, it's a treat for those who enjoy the water—and one for those who don't as well, considering its expansive amount of land-locked attractions. The world is your oyster after you enter the Mediterranean Harbor with its Venetian gondolas and southern European charm, with the American Waterfront to your left and the Mysterious Island straight ahead. Past those are Port Discovery, Lost River Delta, Mermaid Lagoon, and the Arabian Coast—it's probably not doable in a day, so isn't it lucky you get to spend the a whole five days here instead? Characters such as Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Donald Duck, and so on and so forth can be found wandering the areas, with Ariel found specifically in the Mermaid Lagoon; the Genie, Aladdin, Jafar, and Jasmine in the Arabian Coast; and Pinocchio, Jiminy Cricket, Geppetto, and the Fox in the American Waterfront. Get a picture and make some memories, because day light is burning, and it'll be closing time before you know it!
✽ Things take on a little bit of a twist when night falls; attractions refuse to work the right way, shadows seem to follow you wherever you go, and the cast members walking around seem a little more sharp-eyed and sharp-tongued than usual. The food tastes worse, as if it's spoiled rotten, and the water beneath the ports churns unsettlingly. All guests are ushered either out or to the hotel as the clock ticks closer to 9PM each day, with forcefully cheerful goodbyes and perhaps a little more pushing than necessary.
✽ Hotel MiraCosta is a gorgeous experience that's hauntingly devoid of people aside from those coming from Yogen, and even it isn't immune from the chilly atmosphere that sinks in around DisneySea when night falls: you might see glimpses of your home world but empty in the mirrors, or a shadowy figure with a knife poised ready to stab you in the back— and if you don't turn quick enough, that might just become your reality. In other reflective surfaces, like the shine of the floors or the water of a fountain gone still after hours, characters will find their worst fears on full display and reaching out to grab them; falling prey to this will put them temporarily in a fit, as if they're trapped in a nightmare. Other characters can wake them up, but if they're alone... Well, you better hope someone finds you soon: spending too long in the nightmare will have you seeing ghosts of those you miss and those you've wronged before. One will tempt you into going with them to the other side, while the other will make an attempt on your life. The pool isn't safe either: anyone swimming in the dark will find themselves at risk of drowning, feeling as if their feet have been caught by something or someone. Of course, the hotel is perfectly safe and ordinary in the day time, so you have nothing to worry about then! Night-time is just a different matter.
✽ For those who decide to investigate the park after hours will find the cast members remain long after the guests have left, and they make a sport of those who either stay past closing or who trespass on park grounds. Take care out there in DisneySea's version of The Most Dangerous Game— Mickey's got a gun, and he's not afraid to use it. Not every cast member will be out to get you though: the Genie, Donald and Daisy Duck, and the Fox will all help characters who need it... for a price. These can range from the absurd to the impossible to the cruel, though the Ducks tend to be nicer in their requests than the other two.
✽ And those shadows from before, attraction mishaps, and more? They'll still happen, and as the week's nights go on, it gets harder and harder to survive the park. Saw this and laughed, but good news, guys! The staff is here to help you out this time.

02/12 - end of the month
✽ Wasn't that fun... With everybody reenergized after the school trip, classes continue as usual. Math is tough and philosophy is confusing, but after a gloomy overcast January, the sun is shining this month and it becomes harder and harder to resist just walking out the door and into the woods and never returning.
✽ Those who escape reality by running away from their problems will find that they are able to step past the tree line for the first time this school year, and that they can continue walking without bounds. The forest seems to go on and on and on without end, gradually sloping upwards the further away from the school but never seeming to reach a crest. Eventually, you may come across a river that runs nearby the school, shallow and calm in places and wide and rushing in others, with little piles of rocks along the riverbank as if of somebody trying to stack rocks as high as they can go. Scattered about the forest, characters may also come across much larger rocks, bound with rope and spread just far enough apart that you are able to see the next one when standing by the first, if you know where to look.
✽ Quiet and peaceful, the forest is otherwise full of life if you pay attention: you can hear the chirping of birds, small critters scuttling through the underbrush, the distant howl of wolves. If you're very still and quiet, you may be able to see some of the wildlife, and those that hunt them. When night falls, you may see little pinpoints of light floating around past the trees; they would be easy to mistake for fireflies if they did not glow a faint blue, the same shade as the flowers of the wisteria tree, and upon closer look appear to be butterflies fluttering low to the ground, feeding upon rotting carcasses and pools of blood.
✽ The trees are pine trees.
✽ At the end of the month, even if you've decided to go feral and live in the woods, all characters will be pinged on their PDAs:

[Of course, as someone who's never been to Disney--or any theme park for that matter, she couldn't help but get excited; of course, she isn't able to bring anything with her, but that's completely fine with her, all she's here for is the experience.
And it's fun.
At first.
Then it's evening, and she finds herself next to the water fountain. She was always a night owl, after all.
And she sees what's in the reflection--]
"My, my, Rika, you wouldn't betray me like this, would you?
[--and hears the voice of a young girl, followed up with a stab. In the vision, for those who pay close attention they'll notice that the blonde is actively stabbing Rika herself, over and over again with a manic smile crossing her lips as she scratches her neck.]

[Even though Rika's voice is matured in this moment, there's a moment of weakness. Just the sight alone is enough to freeze her in place.]
"It's okay, Rika. I'll save you from the burdens of this life. And soon, we'll be together."
[And the Rika in the reflection dies.

02/07 - 02/11: Tokyo Disneysea
A.) Lets Enjoy our School Trip!
The best thing to do at a theme park is to plan out your day in advance! [ Sara waves the map frantically, finger moving from one location to next with fervor. The first thirty minutes of the trip were vital, she hadn't been able to get her hands on a map before they came, so they had to plan this trip NOW (ignore the knife they also got along with it. She turns, holding it up. ]
But where do you want to start? We need to go get some ears, and I want to see if there are any prize games...but the rollercoasters! The water rides...oh my gosh we can go on a boat!? We're outside! We can see boats! Do you think we can sign up for a meet and greet?
[ Otherwise, Sara can usually be found around the Mediterranean Harbor or the Mermaid Lagoon, riding rollercoasters and taking pictures with mascots with as many people as she can find. Feel free to wildcard a ride or attraction together! ]
B). Lets (Not) Enjoy Night Time!
[ She'd just wanted a glass of water at night...thats why Sara had left her room long after 9pm. Stumbling down the stairs half asleep, at first she hadn't noticed anything amiss till she came to a stop at the start of the entrance hall, rubbing her eyes with the corner of her pajama's. Where was the cafeteria again...? That's what she was thinking, but when she looked down her reflection looked wrong... Her face, twisted around itself in coils of matted hair and an expression that made her jump. She takes a step back, and her reflection doesn't move to match. Instead, with the scratch of nails on marble, a single hand erupts out the floor, darting right at her ankle. ]
H-hello!?! [ Her voice starts out quiet, shock bleeding into fear as the grip tightens, tugging her off balence and onto the ground with a yelp. Kicking at the hand with her free foot feels ] H-hey!? Stop? Someone, is anyone around? Something's wrong!
C). The Most Dangerous Game
(Knife Monopoly)[ So staying in the park after hours to avoid going back to the hotel was a bad idea... Sara peaks over a fence to stare out in the direction of the gate. It should only be a twenty minute walk for her to get out of the park...if there wasn't a large mouse man in the way. With a gun. Not ideal.
...At least she has...an empty gun? An adderstone? A very small knife? Some hard candy? Not the arsenal she'd like, but she's not giving up! There are other people here, and they all want to survive the night! ]

( for the first time in a long time, nene is just straight up bouncing when she walks. for long-time friends, the people who knew her at the start of everything, it must be refreshing, and if she spots them at the park she'll wave them over, either to point to a ride, or to a snack she wants to try. god there is so much food. do you know how much of the little green men mochi she's had? don't ask.
even when she's resting in a quiet spot, she seems perfectly energetic and upbeat, kicking her feet or planning things out with the map. help her out a bit? there's a lot to do, and only a few days to do it! honestly if she's not in line for a ride she's got something yummy in hand though. and yes, she will share. )

[this entire trip is a wondrous time for her. she had been standing at the entrance amazed, and then the joy in her had surged, exploded. her energy seems limitless today, and she wants to try whatever attractions either have the best music or seem like the most fun. which means anything like roller coasters, the Tower of Terror, or things that will be quite thrilling. the gentle rides just don't have the same feeling, you know? which is not to say she doesn't go on them, but just that she has a preference.
alternately, at times, there is just really good food to be found at Disney, so when it's time for a meal or a snack, there's probably something that smells amazing in the air, and Helena will happily wait her turn to pursue it. of course, whatever the seller recommends will probably be perfect, or if she's standing in line near someone, she'll ask their choice. it's about new experiences here, and she's ready to pursue them all.]

[but after hours, when it might be the most exciting, is also the most dangerous. fortunately, it's also where she thrives best. evasion and survival are things that will never leave her. a cast member might be at her heels, but she can lose their trail, climbing and vaulting as needed to get away from them. catch up to her, and she'll lead you on a path that'll get you around without getting shot.
that said, maybe you're the one who's being chased. maybe it's unlucky, with them growing closer, nearly about to strike - and a sharp crack echoes through the air, the being stumbling back as if they received a blow to the head. awareness of them and their actions flows into your senses, and Helena calls out:]

[the hotel...is a strange place. it's interesting in that they're the only ones, meaning it's so open...but it's also unsettling. and at times, there are things she hears. different hummed melodies that are too familiar, the click of steel, the rumble of machinery. things that when she feels familiar chills around her limbs send her running. except she's lost in the nightmares, and in her mind, she's not at the hotel. she's in any number of cages that she knows too, too well, trying to escape.
(it's her, it's too many of her, it's the corpses of herself rising up and chasing her, familiar and alien touch on her skin, rotting, saying she abandoned them. she did this. she wasn't strong enough, wasn't ready, wasn't good enough -)
of course, on the outside, no one else can see them, but they urge her on, trying to drag her down to join them. and there is Helena, running, or huddled in a dead end, trying to find somewhere to hide, or perhaps even close to going over a ledge, thinking she could just get to the other side.]

[ There's a lot that's been going on recently - a lot that Nanami's still processing. A small vacation sounds like a good way to take a break from some of that, so she jumps at the chance to go to Disney.
As it turns out, the hotel has a few consoles scattered around the common areas, and they even have a few games to rent. So Nanami's dragged an N64 into the room she shares with Rika and Nene. She'll stay up very late into the night playing games, sometimes even past sunrise; there's Mario Kart 64 and Super Smash Bros. with friends, and Super Mario 64 when it's just herself.

LEVEL TWO: Gamer Fever
the Midway Mania ride, daytime

[ To be honest, Nanami hadn't been expecting to ride very many rides. Maybe get a bite to eat at some quiet little cafe, or just sit and enjoy the lagoon atmosphere. And that's what she does... at first.
And then she discovers Midway Mania. The rides have HIGH SCORES?
By the end of the first day and for pretty much every day after, Nanami can be found almost exclusively riding Toy Story: Midway Mania, an arcade-esque high score based attraction with 3D screens. Some of the people running the ride are visibly perplexed that the scores can even get this high, before long.
Of course, even with all that practice, she'll want to drag you onto a ride. Gaming's more fun with friends, right? ]
LEVEL THREE: Deathloop

[ By this point, there's things she's learned to avoid. Don't look into reflections. Don't stay in the park past nightfall. Don't eat late in the day. Don't worry about the strange looks from the park workers. Don't don't don't don't don't.
It's fine. It's just like a video game. You learn the rules, and you're okay.
Except it's not. If anything, it's starting to feel terribly like the last game she ever played alive.
They're not waiting until nightfall by the end of the week. People in cheerful mascot costumes jump out to surprise her, ride attendants laugh evilly and try to restrain her into dangerously broken ride cars.
It's okay. It's okay. She can get through this. She WILL get through this.
By late in the week, you'll find her cowering in dark alleys between buildings, trying hard not to be seen, fearfully darting to the next safe zone -- trying desperately to make it home safe. ]

His eyes widen at the sight of another person, and he seems poised to act before recognizing it as a fellow transfer student. There's a part of him that thinks it to be all the more reason to act, but he clears those thoughts away just by closing his eyes and shaking his head. The days have been fun, but this place hasn't been good for his health. It's making it too easy to fall back on old thought patterns. Forced ending or otherwise, he doesn't think he can stay here much longer.
So there's no expression on his face, his expression hidden behind a colorful ice cream cone. ]

[ But he doesn't sound scared at all. He lifts his hand, pointing behind him with the knife. He gives it a little jab, blood flicking off of it. ]

she still doesn't go to class, but she does go to the classroom, every evening. for a day or two, she simply sits in her seat, staring at the desk, silent and motionless. and then she starts bringing things. a handful of pine needles and soil from the forest. bags of candy from the vending machine. drawings of cats. little folded notes. she piles them on top of Hiro's desk. she fixes anything other students may have knocked down, replaces anything anyone takes. sits next to it and stares. talks to it in a low whisper as she lays down next to it, staring up at the ceiling. every day.]

He gingerly sits down in the chair in front of her desk. He doesn't know Steph too well, but he's at least happy that she's alright for the most part.
Senku immediately refused going on the trip to Disney. As fun as that place is, he didn't want a potential repeat of what happened when he with on his own trip. How right he was.

[ Satou is captivated by the park on day one. Or at least, she's putting on a convincing act of being caught up in a daydream-like state. There are plenty of reasons for her to cautious, but Satou is constantly paranoid anyway. She can at least act carefree until given a reason not to be.
So when she receives her map, Satou squawks with excitement. ]
IT'S SO BIIIIG!!! [ She bounces on her heels. It appears to be a struggle for her to not rush off in a random direction. ] Where do I go Where do I go Where do I go- [ Satou holds up the map to the student next to her, eyes bright and a huge smile on her face; ] Where do I goo?!

[ Generally, Satou plays the role of "sweet, modest shoujo heroine" perfectly. She deflects compliments, shyly giggles through her victories, and puts on a show of being too pure to have an ego.
But now she's in Disney and all of the cast members are calling her ~PRINCESS~. It's too much fun and it's fueling her secret pride. It's fine to be a bit self-indulgent when you're at Disney, right? This is about the fairytale experience, so it's fine!
She's been at an information kisok, swooning over how the cast member calls her ~princess~ when he gives her directions. ]
Auau~ Sorry~ Princess Satou still doesn't understand. One more ti- [ Then she notices that one of her classmates has approached. GAME OVER. She squeaks lightly and steps back from the kiosk, waving her hands dismissively while red colours her face. ] -IIIIII MEAN! Wowzers howzers, your directions were PERFECT! Wahaha- BYE!

[ When Satou realized that her trip wasn't all sunshine and roses and being called princess, she wasn't disappointment. Just annoyed. This had been what she expected, but she wasn't happy to be right.
What she was happy about was recognizing the kind of gun that one of the mascots was carrying. After some elaborate plotting, she had gotten the jump on one of the mascots and yoinked their gun. She stands off to the side, double checking that the gun is everything she remembers. The cutesy act from before has been dropped in favor of a dark expression and frown. With a tsk, she does make an unfortunate realization; ]
I don't have spare magazines. I'll have to replace it before it runs out of shots, huh~? [ She sighs... Then, with a shrug, pushes off from the wall. ] Guess it's time to make them afraid of us, ne~?
(D) A fairytale NIGHTMARE
[ While patrolling one night, Satou can't help but notice the stillness of the fountain water. It's such a shame, she thinks bitterly, That the fairytale dream really does end after dark here.
Staring at her reflection, Satou has a melancholy thought about how she went and mugged a Disney mascot to get their gun. Not exactly ~princess~ behavior, is it? She's lucky that Mikale taught her how to use them in the first place. If he hadn't thought to teach her to protect herself without magic, then she wouldn't be able to steal them either... Her mind traces the violent solutions he'd taught her as a way of comforting herself.
But in the surface of the water, Satou doesn't see anything comforting. She sees the reflections of the people who might have been in the mascot costumes. She can see the faces of the people she's had to kill over the years, reminding her that her survival comes at a price. How awful she is to trade the lives of others for her own- How terrible and sinful she is- How The Witch of Sins can never be a fairytale princess.
Dazed, Satou begins climbing onto the edge of the fountain.]
