August Event
Please let August be better than July I'm begging
✽ Due to 10+ classes raising their ranks last month, ALL characters have access to the courtyard via the door in the locker area and the windows facing the courtyard.
✽ Characters with 1-10 tallies are not able to get any further past the end of the courtyard before they fall unconscious; characters with 10-20 can get halfway to the pool building before the same happens to them; characters with 20+ tallies can reach the pool building but unfortunately, the door is on the other side. There are no windows on the walls, but from the clocktower, characters can see that it has a glass ceiling, though they are unable to see inside.
✽ Outside, there is no breeze, and it occasionally rains ash.
✽ Characters going up to the 4th floor will feel that the door is warm to the touch, and will occasionally open (see: missions)
✽ The student store opens, with the door propped open with a doorstopper. The npc running the storeis currently not interested in conversation, but may be available for threading in the future and is available for threading in the toplevel below. Please see the updated bonus activity page for more information.
✽ Posted on the bulletin board and also handed to each club president before break is the notice that proof of club activity is due at the end of break. Please submit these proofs in the toplevel below.
✽ There is another ad on the bulletin board advertising an exchange student program for the month of October. Applications will be taken until the end of August, and there is a 300 merit point fee. Sister cities include Death City, Devildom, Ishigami Village, Lanling, LazyTown, and Maiami City.

where are the cat ToyS WHERE ARE THE CAT TOYS
Excuse me. ( polite. ) I wanted to know if you carry anything like this, or have it on hand for pre-order...
( he will show this bag of cat treats he has with... what did i say, like 4 or 5 left, idk. ) I'll pay whatever.
they're called fingers and toes
[ Prove you can afford those cat treats, then we'll talk. ]
lily may ate ain that was enough
( "whatever," in komaeda terms. okay well, you know spending on hiro was no problem at the fair, so he pulls out some money, you can't show off what you got. crisp, real, beautiful, unless komaeda has to open his pda and show his merit points too, but real cash should speak louder!
this kind of has drug deal energy. )
she hungers for more
The shopkeeper looks down at the cash, looks up at Komaeda, and doesn't seem to think he's a good enough student to have merit points worth asking. ]
I said don't waste my time.
sighs... izumis arm is sitting in the freezer... has a few digits left
( he seems... serious about this, of course, cat treats for lily may are a serious deal because those are special. )
Even a life.
( for cat . tweat? yes. ) No need to be shy, what do you want?
do people know izumi's arm is in there
[ Blood? lives? already got some, thanks. ]
the ethics club members, why do you think i wanted that fridge SOOOO bad :)
( listen, he's just paying the price like everyone else around here. golddiggers are a different breed, npc-kun should know how this works!! but money must be on their mind... anyway, komaeda will count how much he has in his hand for reference, and sigh... paying for dorms is one thing, now he has to hassle some kid... how unlucky! )
I'll give you the rest when you confirm you have the stash...
( cat... treat... )
fridge returns to home ec and when he checks the arm there's bite marks on it and it's not cat sized
I'll give you the stash after I get it from the store.
[ They're just cat treats, dude. Even if it's marked up 1000%. ]
WHO WILL TAKE IT BACK *looks at npc-kun* lug it to the ethics room, careful w the... halfate arm
When that time comes, I'll pay accordingly.
( but they said store... like a general store, he'll keep this information in mind, anyway he'll pocket his money before npc-kun's eyes gets like terra's fav plurk emoji cat eyes. )
What do you have that's highly recommended here?
no subject
Like a light switch, npc-kun flips right into customer service mode. ]
Everything in the store is highly recommended! [ it's them, they're the one recommending ] We've got sweatshirts in a variety of colors [ black, white, and grey counts as variety okay ] that you'll want one of each to mix and match, and tons and tons of rocks you'll want to collect a full set for and maybe a second set for a friend, and a secret menu for our most valued repeat customers! Of course, feel free to take a look around and buy everything that strikes your fancy!
no subject
npc-kun... that's cute of them, not their salesman personality. )
...
( okay the sweatshirts, and the rocks do not speak to him because those are like... luxuries for other people on the weirder side. what does though is the secret menu, which probably sounds made up to make a costumer continue buying for something worthless in the end. sighs. yes, komaeda sighs, but it appears thoughtful as he looks around. can he put any of this stuff on rokkun's tab, actually. )
I'll become a repeat customer if you tell me about your secret menu, what does it all entail?
( he's going to lean forward like a predator after their prey... i'm sorry. also, is there a counter between them? that's important. )
no subject
There's a counter between them and something like a back room behind npc-kun that customers cannot get to and npc-kun does not accept tabs, cash up front only. ]
The secret menu is secret! How many rocks would you like to buy today?
no subject
okay good, forget the back room, komaeda's going to climb on top of the counter so that he can get on the other side of it. this way, he can really be in npc-kun's space, which means he's going to act like a shopkeeper as well — hope they pay well.
who does he look like? rokkun? he don't want no damn r — ... wait. )
What color are they?
no subject
We have all sorts of colors in stock! Black and brown and grey and white! Spotty ones and stripy ones and shiny ones and scratchy ones! How many dozen would you like to buy?
no subject
I'll pass.
( he only wants go stones, the ones that induce both hope and despair... )
You're supposed to be a student store, and I'm a student, can't you accommodate me better... Sighs... Is this bad service?
no subject
Anyways, sighs... no point in customer service if Komaeda isn't worth servicing. ]
There are plenty of other students I can take advantage of. You're not special.
no subject
and i guess there can be a bruise... he bruises easily, he's like dying. )
Are you sure? If you're having trouble taking advantage of me... I think that makes me pretty special, aside from that...
( he wants to get across the counter so bad, he wants to act up sooo bad!! )
There's tons of easy prey in the group as long as you play your cards right... no one wants *just* rocks.
no subject
[ This is taking advantage; getting people to buy rocks just to know about the secret menu is called marketing ]
And you'd be surprised at the number of people who would pay money for rocks.
no subject
( being taken advantage of is when they get a fool to pay, just paying to want them to have them is different! komaeda's life is ruled by lily may, and his ultimates. )
...Yeah, no. I can get them for free. ( the rocks, but he has connections!!! ) Besides, what will they do for me? Some let us see spirits, but I can do that on my own...
no subject
[ Literally all they want is the money, what Komaeda does with any of these wares after they're paid for is none of their problem. ]
no subject
( what is he supposed to do with any of that? i mean, he can murder with them sure, but he's a danganronpa, he has to go through hoops and hurdles for some insane investigation — those rocks will not help. )
Wait... a scam artist, basically. ( at least they're honest, komaeda can respect the hustle. ) I know someone who might buy rocks but...
( rokkun kinda stupid, is komaeda about to sell him out... )
no subject
[ 1) Nobody can call them a liar, and 2) there's a whole store full of murder weapons here, and figuring out how to use them is the joy in murder. ]
I can't be a scam artist when these are real rocks, you know? Why don't you buy one or two or ten and make sure?
no subject
I'm not buying rocks. ( ONLY go stones, the only stones he likes. ) Instead, are you into trades?
( then again, this feels like a dead end because it probably looks like this:
which here's a version without komaeda bc i hope they also try and sell other people rocks: x. )
no subject
Absolutely! I'll take that grimy old cash off your hands and trade you these super awesome no refund rocks!
no subject
...Depends on the size, but other than that, no.
( he'll tap his chin in thought even though he's not going to change his mind on the matter, but he'll find something else of interest. well, he guesses he could ask about a few of the items since the other wants to get a sell... okay, talk to him about the goods, npc-kun. )
Do you carry fuel for lighters?
